I paid for a flight change with travelstart. Travelstrat kep on saying they never received the money. After confirmation from the banks who confirmed the amount is in Travelstarts account, Travelstart kept on saying they never received it.

We are suing them for fraud.

Never ever use Travelstart. This was after a month of trying to get into contact with them and fix the situation but it was impossible.

Do not buy anything from these people. Customer service is shocking. Flights cancelled due to covid. Cannot get my money refunded without incurring 90 % penalties.

The wooorst company i have ever seen. Booked a flight with them, which then, after 24h just got cancelled. With NO reason stated. Dont even think about booking on their platform.

I've had a set of flights I moved once - nobody is able to speak to me on the phone about trying to sort out an issue - and the email response I have had is not useful. Lufthansa can't help me with an agency-booked ticket either.

Going to lose R17k due to this complete mess of a company.

I will never ever use them again - if you use them, be prepared to lose a chunk of cash.

Paid for flight cancellation cover, did not receive any refund, MONTHS after logging problem. Worst service ever. Never again.

We've traveled from Johannesburg to Istanbul in April 2022 and again from Johannesburg to Bangkok in May 2022.

In both occasions we purchased pre paid seats. We have a specific place where we sit on the plane. Both cases we purchase business class seats.

When we checked-in, in Johannesburg OR Thambo we were informed that our purchase seats were no longer available. This happened on both our flights, for Istanbul and Bangkok.

We informed Qatar Airways about our disappointment and find it unacceptable to pay for seats and don't get.
They said that they would refund us for the seats that we did not receive.

We informed them in May, when we were back in the country. It has been 6 months now and still haven't received our refund.

After Martin Escober from Customer Care Officer responded and said that payment would take 6 weeks.
I tried several times calling Doha headquarters, but no one can help me. They keep saying I should contact Customer Support.

Then I got a reply in 28 August 2022 and said that I should re-do the online account application, which I did the same day.

I informed Mohamed Aly at Customer Care that I did the application again, but since the I haven't received anything from Qatar Customer Care Service.
I called Qatar Headquarters again in Doha, but yet again they can't help me. Just said I should send an email to tell us at Qatar Airways.

For a 5 Star Airline they have the worst Customer Service. They are fast to sell you their product but they have no after service.

They trick you to pay for seats, but in the end you do not get it.

They have several fake pop up companies all based India but with South African, UAE and Middle Eastern countries. The names and aliases they use is fake, don't be suprised if you are contacted by Prince Abuja- or fake names.

Getting a fraction refund took three months,needed the following details- you may as well give them you full identity for scamming and stealing.

Ive reported them to several sites, in the hope that these people get wiped off and reported as scammers. I hope this at least protects a few customers who might have otherwise fallen into this scamming trap.

This company is completely scam. If you want to loose money and have trouble then book the ticket from them otherwise don't do it please. They will not help you, no refund, no rebooking if some problem occurs in the middle, no email response, complete lie from the phone call with them. So just avoid them and don't make any bookings with them

there is no way to contact them via email and the live chat and phone service just parrots the emails they sent.

cancelled my outbound flight with free cancellation policy from the airline and travelstart gave me nothing, saying the refund amount is less than the admin fee (they told me their admin fee is 15 euros before i asked to cancel).

their was no way to contact them to ask for proof, how can refund amount be less than 15 euros, until i told them i will dispute my payment with my Amex, they forward my message (i think) to "internal support"

Terrible experience. After a mistake on their end, the company sent us the wrong tickets four times in a row, only fixing it over 16 hours of increasingly desperate phonecalls. Avoid.

If I could give Travelstart 0 stars I would. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years but I will never book a flight through them again. Not only has it been impossible to get hold of anyone to amend my flight directly on the phone (I always get told to wait 48 hours for a response), but when they do finally email with a response and say "Let us know if you accept this itinerary change", the inbox is a no-reply inbox (!!!!!). They have been unresponsive, unhelpful, and completely ridiculous with their change fees. Who bills someone R12,000 just to push a flight out by 2 weeks???? Do not book with Travelstart

When the flight is canceled by the airline company, they do not refund your money. Do not buy a ticket there!

They are bunch of scammers. Stay away!! I book a car through their website and it was a scam and they did not refund my money.

Travel start do scam you out of money. I recently bought tickets to Capetown. I specifically unticked airline liquidation cover and other add-ons totalling over R3000! When the invoice came those charges were there! I called them and they told me they were non refundable. In the future I will screen shot the purchase. Day light robbery!!!

My flight was canceld because of the airway company's reason.
But this website did not refunnd full amount because they claimed they needed service fee.
I am so dissapointed.

I too am a victim of this fraud agency. This fraud agency received my refund from the airlines in March 2022 and now it is August 2022. Refund status.." in progress". All the time after waiting for hours in the hotline, I end up speaking to an agent either in India or in Egypt. Screaming at these people wouldnt help. Supervisor call back has been arranged in May and I am still waiting for the call and my refund.
Please stay away from Travel Start.

Worst Travel agent ever they are not client focussed at all and very unhelpful just after money. I made a mistake when I omitted one alphabet on a travel ticket. They want me to pay a whopping 1000 rand for a simple fix in addition to the airlines usd30. Most other agents will do an endorsement at no cost. Don't use them at all the airlines are cheaper and better when it comes to assisting passengers.
