Got singled out at entrance by their nazi security personel, because of an old tattoo the person did not like, searched all our bags while two kids had to see all this unnecessary theatre, they found nothing but still made us leave because I was deemed inpolite, and when we got home I realised the bag containing games and console was missing, pure scummy thieves because that was the only place we took that bag out.

DO NOT GO THERE! The staff in the sauna area is pervy and disgusting. They force you to get naked in front of them and give you no option of privacy. They enforce their rules with great pleasure to please their own sexual pervertedness. Stay as far away as you can from this place and actually have a pleasant vacation with your family somewhere else. 0/10 horrible food, horrible facilities

In general we enjoy a lot! It was very nice, maybe the water could be little bit more hot. The sauna area and jacuzzis were really nice.

Bad feedback:
- the personal attending in the information was very rude.
When I asked them for a claims sheet, they were discussing super angry that they don't have this and they are not going to give me. By law you should have and offer without any discussion. After calling "consumer organization" and telling them that I will report the situation, finally they give me the sheet.

- The "free" Shuttle bus was only for coming to Tropical island but not for going back...

- I contacted them by Booking for my issues, they told me that they forward to the complain department, but never come back to me.

Why are people so negative?

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel inside Tropical Island.

Service was good, personally so the service is the same everywhere in Germany, so if you don't like Germans you should stay away from the country.

So yes I would like to recommend this centre... It's big and lots to do.

We've booked a 4 day stay here and it's one experience we are not going to repeat ever. As a family with a 3 year old they did little to accommodate our needs. First of all we waited for 3 hours to check in as the queue was huge and moving very slowly. Second of all most of the staff replied in German although we addressed them in English. It was a visible inconvenience for them to speak even basic English. Third of all we didn't get any cleaning in the room the entire stay. When I asked about it they said that we have to hang a note in the door which should be enclosed in the brochure in the room. There was no brochure in the room, and no note whatsoever so I was just lied to by a service worker. Last of all I am still getting antibiotics treatment for the streptococcus infection I caught while staying there which kept me, my wife and son sick for a week after we left the place.

If you have children, dont even consider staying at the lodges in the weekend! We are there right now and there are parties in three of the neighbor lodges. SO loud music and drunk people running around screaming. Our kids are scared and it’s not possible the get any help from the staff at TI cause reception phones are closed at night. We are leaving tomorrow morning and we are NEVER gonna come back!

Awful awful awful place!! Worst customer service Ever! Extremely rude and arrogant! I’m shocked about how Tropical Island treat their customers and run their business! Tropical island should make a disclaimer saying they don’t like tourist and only speak German.
If I could give them 0 stars I would.

Tried to book tickets online (really poor UX and translation!). I accidentally booked the wrong date. Called customer service immediately after. Waited in line forever. When I finally got through they didn’t speak English. They hung up on me twice. After my 4th(!) attempt I finally got to speak with someone who turned out being extremely rude, arrogant and insulting! I wrote customer service for help who was equally rude and insulting (maybe it was the same person). They offered to rebook my tickets “Out of a one-time goodwill” (shouldn’t this be normal standard practice in 2022 and not a one-time thing?!) which would have been great if it wasn’t because they offered to rebook within a week that was ALREADY fully booked 🤯! Which of course they were fully aware of! In other words their “one-time goodwill” was more a big fat ‘go-f***-yourself we are not interested in helping you’. When I pointed this out and asked for a voucher in stead they simply ignored me…

If you haven’t noticed the wall is down. No need for the Russian bureaucracy. A little friendliness will get you a long way.

I usually do not write reviews, but this time I will make an exception. I feel that it is my duty to warn, protect and inform the public of the horrors awaiting them at Tropical Island.
I still do not understand how the Germans, a nation that build great cars, a nation known for its punctuality and precision, could ruin things so much when it comes to Tropical Island.
First, NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING you see and read about Tropical Island on their web side, has anything to do with the reality. They operate under the same principals as McDonald’s. The picture on the menu has nothing to do with the real deal!
I was there thank god, for only 2 days with my family and friends in the beginning of January 2020. We had 2 boys age 3 and 4 with us. The only place Tropical Island claims, is built for small children,had weirdly enough primarily pitch black, pipe like waterslides. No life guards, no safety or order. Kids and adults from all ages, pushed, yelled and screamed at each other nonstop for the right to go first on the waterslides. I often speculated what the capacity of the place is. There were so many people, that you could not almost get into the water without hitting, or been kicked by someone else. It reminded me a bit of that book ‘’Lord of the flies’’. Kids doing whatever they want, while adults just laying on the armchairs, staring apathetically at the ceiling. Everywhere you go, you just experience the absurd mixture between luck of organization and very bad planning. They do not accept credit cards, yet do not have an ATM machine. Tropical Island does not offer any medical support, which is very weird if you think how many kids are running around, no handicap friendly facilities and the one and only shower room I have seen without body soap! I guess it was too expensive to buy a bottle from Lidle! Once you pay with your left kidney the entry fee, surprise, you have to pay again for almost every single thing. In addition, believe me…..no matter where you want to go, no matter what you want to buy… You will wait at least 15-20 minutes.

The only think that beats the worst organized holyday complex, it is the workers in Tropical Island. Tired, bored, underpaid, badly behaved, rude and lazy these poor Germans souls shout and scream at the guests all the time. A 17 years old employee was fired in front of at least 40 people waiting in queue. He run crying home!
I wish I could have giving minus 10 starts. If you have someone you really hate, please, just recommend him or her to spend a week in Topical Island!
