What a nightmare to call UPC
We contacted UPC to declare our change of address, that contact was done 3 weeks before the moving. After moving to our new house, there was not internet connection. We contacted UPC and after several days of asking and spending a lot of time on the telephone the only solution they say was "be patient" We work from home and due to the slow answer from UPC we got the pay extra to our mobile provider for extra data... the only solution was to call EBL, they solved the problem in 24h... After many years with UPC as Internet provider we are all really disappointed.

Since UPC & Sunrise have merged, very bad internet services, very bad TV services. Getting very frustrated with this and will soon change to a more reliable service.
I don't know why UPC still exists!
I have no idea why UPC is allowed to operate in a country like Switzerland! I had (and still having) the worst customer experience in 62 years on this planet, in Switzerland and abroad. Customer Service is catastrophic and would only be acceptable in North Korea. Stay away from this truly awful monster of a company! You have been warned.

Upon cancellation of our internet…
Upon cancellation of our internet contract, customer service employees repeatedly provide information, which is untrue in order to win-back customer. I can share two examples here:
1) the question whether a cable connection is required to receive internet is answered with "yes" - even though competitors such as Teleboy clearly offer internet without a cable connection. Just to note: I have no benefits of mentioning Teleboy here.
2) The customer service employee deliberately tried to trick us with regards to your cancellation period. Make sure to check your account's mailbox ("My documents") as in there the confirmation of your cancellation together with an official end date of your contract will be shared.
It might be just one employee, I cannot speak for all, but the employee we talked to tried to prolong the cancellation period, just acting as we never cancelled the contract.
All in all a very unpleasant experience.

UPC charged me for taking calls while roaming which never even rang on my phone and there is no customer support (sure you can call a number and then wait until the sun goes down. 0 online support). Avoid them.

By some distance the worst service provider I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.
After having decided to switch to UPC, months before the actual switch date, everything was ordered through Mobilezone (who were excellent in all respects) AND CONFIRMED by UPC. All necessary equipment would be delivered by or before the specified date.
One day before said date, I call UPC to inquire about the status of my order. Oh no, I'm told, the equipment won't be DELIVERED by the specified date, it will be DISPATCHED by the specified date - a Friday, which meant that I received the equipment five days after the SPECIFIED and CONFIRMED DELIVERY DATE.
I called on the Saturday to find out what the expletive deleted was going on and the cnut at the call centre made it very clear that I was at fault. Never mind that they had confirmed and then disregarded the delivery date, it was I, the stupid customer (in hindsight I agree with this assessment) was in the wrong.
Needless to say I will end this contract asap.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced.
I was without my phone number for 6 weeks because they couldn't get the number ported over from my previous provider.
I talked to their customer service 7 times, wrote 3 emails, and chatted 3 times ~ total 16 attempts to solve the case. And they still couldn't do it.
I have only one recommendation for anyone contemplating to buy from them: stay AWAY because you'll regret it. The potential cost saving is NOT worth it!

1st selling a product which you don’t have
2nd takes a week for your customer service to understand that you don’t have service and seems to be that they don’t have any experience in customer service as well they don’t know how the system works

My wife has - in vain - tried to stop paying a fee for a connection we stopped using and thus CANCELLED more than a year ago. After being threatened by UPC's pathetic attack-dogs, Intrum Justitia, she contacted a lawyer. Finally she was able to get through to customer service, who said that the cancellation back then was invalid, because it had been in writing - and they only accepted it via the phone. My wife obviously immediately cancelled the thing, AGAIN ... and a few days later she receives a letter saying that they acknowledged the call, but that it was invalid as they needed the cancellation in writing....!!! WHAT A KAFKAESQUE JOKE OF A COMPANY - avoid at all costs, or the costs will be yours to bear.

STAY AWAY from this company! UPC made me sign a contract in a language that I do not understand, and have been forcing me to pay monthly bills since I have been out of the country. I have contacted them repeatedly, with no response, and am now being bullied by a collection agency into paying a significant fine. As I am young, I was a little naive going into this, but I have now been advised that being forced to sign a contract in another language is illegal, and the contract is unenforceable. Furthermore, being bullied into paying for internet AFTER having tried to terminate the contract on several occasions is not ok. This company is truly terrible. Please do not make the same mistake I did and trust these scammers.
Scammers
They tried to scam me like they have been doing for years: sending out a fake bill even though I never even got in touch with them for anything (I have another internet service provider). You then still have to call them so that they cancel the bill, otherwise they will send you warnings. If you pay the bill of course they subscribe you a for a full year. You can read this over the whole internet.
In summary: scaring people in order to scam them; if you don't want to then you have to waste your time and call them (and I'm not even gonna mention the quality of the hotline).
It feels unreal that such a scammer company can still exist. They should get punished by law and taken down.
Most useless customer service indeed
If there was a negative star rating here, this useless UPC deserve minus-five stars. In March, I ordered internet subscription to begin from June 1, then called them three times to remind and make sure that they activate it and send the router etc. so that internet is accessible exactly from June 1 (it is obviously impossible to work from home without one at this pandemic time), yet June 1 came and even a few days later I have no connection. Keep calling their useless customer service just to find out that they were supposedly "verifying something"... incredibly incompetent people that are totally disrespectful to their customers. I am canceling my service with them ASAP and advise that you do, too, or - better - never even try.
