UPC’s service is probably the worst
UPC’s service is probably the worst I have had in my life. Curiously, since I cancelled (3 months ago) internet service suddenly stopped working almost everyday.
I tried to called them several times with no help whatsoever and I literally cancelled 3 times just to make them aware that my internet was not working. Apparently, making a cancellation is the only possible way to communicate with them in writing via their website!! Let alone the fact that their internet service is quite expensive.
I cannot stress enough that you should NOT hire this service. It is crap.

One of the worst if not the worst connections I could have imagined,both the internet and the tv cable are outrageously lacking in quality,you are pretty much paying for errors and an internet speed which is as bad as if you were under the ocean.

Very bad customer service. It's impossible to get any help. Call center simply does not pick up phone. Sometimes i've been waiting for 30 min without success.
And even then, they always lie.
Cut out the internet, still valid contract
We were UPC costumers until the last month when I decided to resign due to poor internet connection from the very beginning.
They were cutting out the internet time after time every month, we had to connect the TV with our mobile phone internet ( not UPC) in order to watch a movie.
But on top of all that, since I resigned from them last month, even though our contract is still valid until the 1st of April, they cut out the internet the whole day today and nothing is working even now at 22:55 in the evening.
Someone should revoke UPC operating permit, because they are doing all kind of Frauds, nothing else.
Stay away from them if you want to save yourself from some real headache and a lot of lost money.

Going from Bad to Worse since the failed Merger with Sunrise. Assume that UPC was cut to the bone prior to the proposed merger with Sunrise, or that the Liberty Global bean counters pushed the figures too far in their excel spreadsheets. Like buying back billions of shares at $27...(now trading at $21). Every single month, there is now a major UPC outage - internet, mobiles, voice calls, you name it. Some months it hits multiple services at the same time. Time to close down this business. Sorry for the people that works there.

Keep away from this company. I subscribed their service under the circumstance of waiving the activation fee. However, they still charge me the activation fee on my first month bill. I called and they are very arrogant and denied their promise. On the second month bill, they overcharged me almost 100 CHF. I called the Customer Service again and talked to Hiva who is sooooooooooooooooo arrogant and impolite and refused to resolve the problem.
UPC is the most horrible utilities…
UPC is the most horrible utilities company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. When I tried to cancel my service in September because competitors were offering better speeds for only 49 CHF, the sale rep said that he would give me the Happy Home 600 plan for 49 CHF for 12 months. The next day my service was changed but instead of 49CHF they began billing me 129 CHF, which is 10 CHF more than I was paying previously with a plan that I actually wanted. For September, October, and November they continued to charge me 129 CHF. Throughout this time I had 4 phone conversations totaling 4 hours of mostly waiting with intermittent conversations with incompetent people who kept promising to fix my bill and never did. Now they have also disconnected my phone. This is beyond absurd. My next call will be to cancel my service followed immediately by a call to my lawyer.

I had to terminate the contract because of relocation, I called the support asking what I needed to do. They told me I should send the TV decoder back, while the modem/ router it did not matter as it was old. Then they sent me a bill of chf. 169 for not sendind the router back!!
No matter how many times I called them to complain, they hired a credit agency.
Avoid UPC at all costs.

The new router is crap. Poor configuration options, ugly interface, continuous page reload for every task you do, firewall and forward rules cannot be edited (must be deleted and re-created with loss of time)... basically it is a toy.
Channel list is huge and mainly useless. Many SD channels and no 4k channels.

I was unfortunate to be a UPC customer for 6 years. Extremely poor customer service particularly in regards to cancellation. Nowhere on the website does it state you need 3 months to cancel the subscription - and so you may end up paying for multiple months extra. They purposefully make cancelling an extremely arduous and lengthy process, it is not possible online instead you must speak to an incompetant phone representative who prolongs the process. They then try to catch you out by adding a reminder fee if you are 'late' paying your bill for a service that you did not receive.
Internet often cuts out and it is expensive for what you get.

I was a customer of UPC-Cablecom for 17 years. This June, my TV box broke down. I got in touch with their call-center and I was told I would get a new box, but of course, with a new abo too. More expensive of course. I told then I didn't want to pay more, for actually the same service.
They sent me a new box, but kept the old abo, that wasn't compatible with the new box. There were only 4 channels on that new box.
As consequence, I resigned from Cablecom, and I'm now an happy Swisscom customer.
I think, that Sunrise would do a strategic mistake by buying cablecom: poor customer service, old coaxial technology and incompetent crew...
They don't even deserve one star

UPC is some bs, they made me pay a 300+ CHF bill which I initially didnt have to pay, then tell me I have overpaid and I’ll get the money back end of the month. Then next month send me a new bill with another 160.- (which was a bill I already received once and they cancelled bc apparently I dont have to pay that one) and now just take that amount out of the overpaid amount I already paid. NOW dont have my bank details even though I’ve been customer since 2015 and need ME to call them again and give my bank details???

We had to switch boxes because the old box could not handle netflix when we started subscribing. When changing to the new box the subscription has to change. I noticed on the first bill a 25CHF additional subscrption for sports channels was billed and queried this immediately. Excuses were made but we were assured this will be deleted next month and a criet povided. Three months later, ahving called twice on each month, we have been told that its our fault for the subscription and whilst they will cancel the 25CHF subsription after three months (we'll see). We get no credit (credit? shouldnt we get the cash back?)
It works...until you don't have to call them!
I have UPC since 2007 and had few problems that were fixed (more or less) during those 12 years. But now I have a BIG problem: I moved into a new house and announced the change 1 month before. They switch my contract immediately so I couln't access any service for more than 1 week, and now that I changed house I still haven't my TV and network connection for what I pay for.
My experience is that if you have to call the support is USELESS: they are rude, unpolite, they accuse you and expecially NOBODY is taking care of you!
If you want a company that cares, I guarantee that UPC is not the company that you want to looking for! I will for sure change my TV and Internet provider as soon as possible!
Blocked access with no justification
We had received a bill for a not returned box of 169 Chf, without any prior notification, then we immediately returned it to a partner shop and paid the outstanding monthly bills. Still UPC blocked our internet and TV due to this open bill of the box which we had returned 2 weeks back to their partner shop. Customer service feedback is that they have to wait the feedback from their partner until they can unblock us. We have the paper confirmation of the partner shop that the box was returned, but the customer service was not interested in that and just confirmed that our account will be blocked until they clarified it. From our side this is absolutely disappointing as we did all what we were asked for and are now paying for some service which we do not even get. Worst service I have experienced. We will immediately quit our contract and search someone with better service and more reliable connection. Not speaking about the bad quality of internet and TV reception, but that would be another technical complaint.
