Correcting my earlier review
Correcting my earlier review, as the issues experienced were not Vispa’s fault, in fact they have stepped in and swiftly resolved issues with British Fibre Network, whose service was the fundamental issue. Thanks very much indeed.

99% of the time it works perfectly, occasionally it has problems but the customer service always helps the majority of the time
DONT USE COMPANY
Unfortunately the developers of my properly were conned into going with this vile company, so we have no choice but to put up with them. They haven’t given us what we need to connect and now they’re ignoring us. They didn’t ignore us when they charged 130 pounds for the box???? And they think we should be paying for a service we don’t have!? Disgusting. Reported to trading standards, do not use this company!!!

If i could give this company a zero I would. No communication, have not got the equipment the company say we need and when questioned they have ignored us, this has been going on since November 2021, no one answer the phone, and the guy on live chat simply shouldn’t even have a job as he doesn’t do anything. Absolutely disgusting, expensive and fraudsters!!!!

Entire Neighbourhood broken (amended)
Second amendment to initial review.
I want to come back after a few months and edit my previous review. Vispa has done a fantastic job working with our builder and core service provider to sort out the issues on our site. The infrastructure provider itself has gone out of business, and Vispa stepped quickly into the gap to re-establish Internet connectivity for our homes and, I assume, other homes that were affected on different estates.
I cannot say enough about the work James and the team at Vispa have done to resolve what has been a long-term problem.
I highly recommend Vispa, and wanted to be sure to make that statement publicly by amending this review.
Amendment to Original Review (4 Jan 2022):
Vispa has contacted me and my neighbours to apologise for the current state of service and has pledged to work with British Fibre (the infrastructure owners) to try and resolve the issues. This is an issue that has been ongoing for nearly a year (as of 1 Jan 2022) and I am hopeful that we will see progress.
As of the date of this amendment no progress has been made other than to limit every user's bandwidth in the hope of mitigating the congestion at peak times. This happened AFTER I put in my original review and was in direct response to that review.
To add a bit of context, there is a British Telecom service that is provided to homes literally 3 metres from my property that gives them 1 GB internet access. We are precluded from taking the BT offer because of Vispa and British Fibre's exclusivity agreement for our estate. Vispa's temporary solution is to limit all users on our estate to 50 Mb speeds. That is 5% of what the home next to mine receives for almost the same price.
I will amend this review further when any progress is made. I do commend Vispa's responsiveness to my review. I wish it had happened prior to making such a public fuss.
Original Review:
Vispa and British Fibre have an exclusive contract to provide internet and phone access to our new build neighbourhood. The oldest houses are a year old and have always have horrible internet access. The infrastructure itself is poorly implemented and Vispa rarely responds to tickets or calls. If you call them you will almost certainly speak with Jade. . .she appears to be the only person who answers the phone. She is a very nice person, but there has been no movement on the issue. They blame British Fibre, but the only way that we can get through to BF is via Vispa. If you have an option. . .DO NOT take Vispa as your ISP.

They go above and beyond
Had been waiting on internet for ages, because British Fibre Networks just never came out to hook up my internet. Vispa, an ISP who shouldn't even need to get involved with that side of things, came out themselves to hook it up and so far my internet has been fantastic - can work from home in any room and have TV and phone on at the same time, all speeds are great.
A big thank you to James for going above and beyond to hook the internet up and to Jade for service and coordination.
Very helpful during tough times!
Despite having many of issues with getting internet for over 6 months (all due to shambolic British Fibre Network…), Vispa have been excellent in communicating with us and trying to get the issue sorted. Jade has been an absolute star during the whole process. Regularly updating us and helping to fix the issue. Despite it not being Vispas job, they went out of their way and came to our building and sorted the issues which should have been done by BFN. And now we are up and running, we have great internet. Thanks Vispa (and Jade!)
Outstanding personalised service throughout fibre installation
Vispa recently connected our (fairly rural) development to full fibre broadband which involved a huge amount of work by them to access the government grants for us as well as the complex installation work. James and his team have been available literally 24/7, answering queries, sorting fixes for other linked kit, keeping everyone informed about hitches with Openreach/electricity suppliers etc. A very personal approach to customers is highly unusual these days. We can’t commend the team enough! Brilliant!
Simply excellent!
We are absolutely delighted with Vispa !!!!!
It was really simple to contract, assisted very ably and amiably by Jade. We did have issues as we could not get an internet connection, which proved to be due to the poor installation of the cabling by British Fibre Network (BFN). Jamie, from Vispa, visited us and spent around 1/2 day fixing the various issues caused by BFN. He was patient, confident and dedicated to ensuring we got up and running as soon as possible. Considering it was not in the remit of Vispa to do this, Jamie went above and beyond his remit, which is top notch service! Thanks Jamie !!!
If you are looking for excellence, go Vispa!!! With the attitude they demonstrate, this company will inevitably be one to watch in future.
Great new Ultrafast installation
Vispa has recently installed ultrafast broadband to our neighbourhood and worked closely with residents throughout the process to keep us informed of progress and answer any questions. Service since the installation has been perfect and a huge improvement on any internet service we have had previously from other providers.
Really impressed
Really impressed with Vispa so far! We have recently had Ultrafast installed and the fibre is fab. Any questions and issues have been dealt with efficiently, and explained well.
Installation was very straightforward, engineer was great and Jade was helpful with getting us set up. Billing also very simple.
Thanks Vispa!
Excellent personal service, great speed!
Had to wait a while, but we were updated regularly with news. Our new internet is fast, the installation was painless and the guys were very helpful. So far all well. It’s great to have direct contact with James, so any glitches are sorted very quickly. Much better than a huge faceless company. Thank you!

Rural FTTP…..Awesome service
We are in a rural area where “Openreach” say that we are not getting broadband any time soon. We were suffering with a paltry 0.5Mbs on old copper. Vispa came to the rescue first with a wireless solution vastly improving things, and today fitted FTTP. James and Jamie from Vispa were fantastic, no fuss or drama, arrived in time and were done so quickly. They even helped me configure our Sky Q box saving me hours! Customer support is truly great, Jade is awesome and so pleasant and helpful. If things do happen out of The blue, Vispa respond brilliantly! A very happy customer with speeds of 200Mbs with capacity of up to 1Gbs.
We’d be lost without Vispa!
We live in a village without any decent communications infrastructure so when we first moved in we were reliant upon the standard BT infrastructure supplying internet speeds of ~2MBps. In addition to this as we live in a valley our mobile phone connection isn’t the best.
Thankfully Vispa deployed a bespoke wireless broadband service which has been an absolute game changer as something as simple as working from home wasn’t possible on the 2MBps BT infrastructure. On top of that we can now use Wifi-calling on our mobile phones to supply a decent phone signal.
Since all of this Vispa has also been pushing the government on our behalf to deliver proper fibre-optic infrastructure to our houses. There are still some houses yet to be completed but ours was done last week and it’s once again it’s been a huge boost for the community and our household in particular. We’re now getting speeds of ~90MBps!
I’ve seen some of the negative feedback on here but I would highly recommend Vispa. I know there are some teething issues but that is to be expected especially with blockages in ducts etc causing delays, but for me the bigger picture is simply that Vispa have supplied a much needed service for our community at a fair cost and have pushed the government to support the installation and support the costs of laying the infrastructure at a time when technology is needed more than ever.
Huge thanks from all of our household.
Had no choice but to sign up to Vispa…
Had no choice but to sign up to Vispa as we have moved into a new house and can only sign with them. Still waiting for Router to arrive, it’s been 2 weeks, phoned customer service and shall I say it wasn’t the best help, bordering on rude. I was told that Royal Mail and Covid was to blame….also that I could buy my own Router, then at the end was told it had been dispatched that day….that was 5 days ago, no Router. If this is the service Vispa provides I don’t hold out much hope for the future with them!!!

Give Vispa a chance!
Vispa get a lot of stick (unnecessarily), they are a small company providing internet to people who otherwise wouldn’t have anything. When we moved into our new home, our internet connection was much less than promised with BT, topping out at .48mbps. As an IT professional working from home this was a massive shock, luckily Vispa was just going live with their wireless to the mast offering and it saved us from BT’s shocking copper option.
Sure, there are issues with the technology, it’s not faultless, but I think we had fairly good up-time circa 95%+, months would go by with no outages. Of course it stings when it does go down but the problems were invariably with the power supply to the broadcasting mast and Vispa always had a engineer on site as quickly as possible, Jade in the support team was always helpful (I think it does help if you speak the lingo, and non-technical people must struggle when reporting any sort of technical issues in this type of arena, so I’d take the moaning about tech support with a pinch of salt).
We have recently been upgraded through the government scheme to full ‘fibre to the premises’ broadband, and our download rate has gone from 75mbps per second to well over 150mbps, with a promised boost to 200mpbs in the coming months.
In conclusion, Vispa saved us from terrible internet, and I for one am very grateful to them and cut them the appropriate amount of slack, remember anyone using this service has little alternative and Vispa could really have treated us anyway they liked, but they remain professional and courteous and willing to help.. Give Vispa a chance!
