They are about much use as a chocolate…

They are about much use as a chocolate fire guard.
Always freezing and Google not responding.
Be quicker to go to a library to read something.
Caller id thing is the biggest pile of crap.
The phone rings and screen is blank for a bit.
My rating for them is minus 100 at least.
It is going in the microwave that's all they are good for.

NO BUY THIS PHONE, IT IS TRASH!

I have bought the first swift 2 one year ago. After some months always hanged and hanged. Because of I like the design I have ordered an other one - paying taxes as well because of the brexit... no problem, I like it - I have thought. It was 2 months ago. The operation system was older then on the other one. It was my first disappointment. After some weeks the new one hanged a lot. And today does not charge, I can't swich on. So this can go to the trash. (To send to Uk is very expensive and risky with my datas on it.)
If I can give 0 star I would do!!!!! TRASH! TRASH! TRASH!

I recently bought the 2x

I recently bought the 2x. I gave it one star because that's the lowest you can give. After the experience I've had I wouldn't give it any stars. The screen can't be swiped unless you try many many times. I've nearly worn my fingers out trying to write on keyboard. When you eventually open it up you again have to tap on keyboard many times. It goes to unselected apps while you're looking at app you picked. The battery life is terrible. I don't have any games on phone. I use it at work sparingly, not for work To term this phone as useless would be giving it praise it certainly doesn't deserve. The live chat only seems to be live on Thursday. All in all worst purchase ever.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service.

The only way I get a response is to send daily emails. Such a poor first experience with them I would never buy from them again.

Extremely disappointed!

This business needs to build better phones

Screen doesn't work, You cannot scroll down or up. I don't need a voice to tell me what to do, but instead it just automatically put voice on the phone which i cannot turn off. You also have to double tap to go on a app or anything. The screen doesn't work properly so i have to tap about 10 times before it works. This business should close down or the going to have thousands of Wileyfox phones in it's phones sent back box. This was supposed to be a business phone but I think I'm sending this back.

Things must of improved since the other…

Things must of improved since the other reviews were written, perhaps because of WileyFox being taken over by STK, but let me tell you about my experience then you can judge for yourself. I purchased a Swift 2 in February 2020, the first thing I had problems with was the fact I couldn't save contacts. I emailed the company and got that sorted ( it transpired the contacts have to be saved to sim not the handset, fair enough, job's a good 'n , as they say up north). Then in July, when I restarted the handset I got an error message. I contacted the aftercare team again via email, and once again spoke to the person I spoke to in Feb/March. Fantastic! He knew me, I knew him and we got the problem sorted again. They told me to return the handset along with proof of purchase for either repair or replacement! What more can anyone ask for. In my honest opinion, the WileyFox Swift 2 is the perfect phone if all you want is a basic smart phone, ideal for children (rather than spending a small fortune only to have them dropped smashed or lost), ideal for pensioners that don't really want all the apps etc, just a phone to text or make calls, it does exactly what it says and the aftersales team are amazing. So it may of had a few bugs when it first came out (and what tech gadget doesn't?), but they have improved and got rid of them. Give them a go, you might be surprised.

It would be funny

Battery life is a joke - you re lucky to get a couple of hours use if you can get it to full charge, which you probably won't because it'll stop at 90 percent most of the time. When it does discharge & you attempt to recharge it - you 'll probably wait a couple of days before it will let you. Whist it's working its OK - aside from the microphone or speaker - but never both taking every other day off, oh and having to reboot twice a day at least.

Many problems

Had one of the first Wileyfox phones a few years ago and it was great for a cheep phone, when the battery started to fail I bought a Swift 2 and one for my partner.
From the start I've had problems with the front camera.
Both phones crash usually once or twice a day (white and orange Wileyfox screen) and have to be rebooted.
Sometimes when I receive a call the phone stays blank making it impossible to see who's calling and impossible to answer it.
Avoid!

For the price, WileyFox Swift 2 is an amazingly featuure rich phone...

For the price, this is a feature rich phone. The only initial issue I had was replicating the 'picture in picture' feature which I saw on TV. After much research on why this wouldn't work with me, all you need to know is that for this to work, you must open the video within the Google browser. YouTube has not licensed this feature outside the USA, so that's the only way currently to get it to work. (Many higher spec phones don't even have this feature)

As with all smartphones, battery life is pitiful compared to a 10 year old Nokia (which I 'upgraded' from). You may get a day out of it (rather than over a week with an 'old' phone, but don't bet your life on it. It'll need a proper 2A supply to activate the fast charge properly. Mains supplied.

My laptop USBs only pump out 500mA so it barely kicks the charging into life. It flickers through all apps with ease, and rarely stutters. Rear camera is decent and more than adequate for my needs. I have upgraded it with a 128Gb Micro SD card so shouldn't fill it up for quite a while.

I notice from another review they complained about the phone's weight - it weighs a very manageable 155g, (similar to other phones of this size) maybe they need to eat some porridge LOL

However, the front camera has an inherent fault (confirmed by WileyFox who said they are working on a software fix - but they aren't!). In low light, it just simply goes dark after a couple of seconds. I'm not into 'selfies' so not an issue for me, but with increasing use of video calling to keep in touch, it displays the same fault, you really need a strong source of light for it to work.

The 3 year warranty was a plus for me, as the Wileyfox brand seems to be on the wane, so am unsure of any future support. Still, it works great now, and with a case, and screen saver, I'm protecting it as much as I can. The fingerprint security work flawlessly, and is a very reassuring feature, would suggest you register fingers on both hands, you don't want and accident with one hand to disable the use of your phone, though you can also register a PIN.

I'm very late to the 'smartphone' party, but this phone has exceeded my needs in every way. Buy a few 'type C' USB cables so you can charge it up at every opportunity, and you'll have a very enjoyable phone...

Just go for a company you've heard of!

Wileyfox robbed me via a Swift 2X. They don't have the basics right, so forget about processor and memory, the screen doesn't work.

Weight of the phone literally hurts your arm after talking too long! It's gonna try and pull down your trousers if you keep it in a pocket. May have some application as a paper weight. I believe Wileyfox are researching this.

Wileyfox were rescued from administration in 2018. World could have been rid of at least one cheating thieving company but no!

Battery Dying After 5 Months

Bought my phone from Wileyfox in December last year. I was very pleased with it until last week, since when the battery is not holding it's charge.

I've only had the phone for 5 months, and I'm not a heavy user.

Wileyfox "support" are ignoring me, so it looks like I'll have to take them to small claims court.

I'm a key worker, and I need my phone for my job, so I've had to buy another phone.

Steer well clear.
