XS Direct Car Insurance UK 

I agree, it’s a SCAM. They changed my £300 excess to £3000. They said it’s mandatory! I specifically said to the agent (I really want to say her name, can I?) that I’m not claiming anything! But she still charged me for £782 for my car. I didn’t even go anywhere for repair because there was nothing to repair! She also charged me £4800 for personal injury but nobody got injured! I have a dash cam to prove that. I sent her an email asking for receipts but she didn’t reply anymore! There is what you call Financial Ombudsman who can help us for things like this. If you want to escalate this complaint. Definitely a SCAM! Should be no star at all!

Was with them for one year and had zero issues. They insured me at a price I could afford when others would not. With the high excess you are taking a risk and I was mindful of this while driving and thankfully had no accidents. Received my no claims cert at the end of the year and switched to an insurer with lower excess.

Ok x direct insurance is fake don’t trying to trust them if normally 1 person if make incident if this person pay for own excess this fake x direct insurance have to make TP payment and this person payment to but fake xdirect insurance didn’t make any payment for my car and TP this is 3 years still I have problem

Avoid avoid avoid!! The worse insurance company ever, the customer service is so horrible it bloody give me anxiety!! You have to beg for answer, I'm speechless! Please stay away from this company and if possible let's unite and make sure this horrible company gets closed!

I wish I could give no stars.
Gave me a fine of over £7000 originally, and this went down to £2839.42 after complaining. I never understood why I was given this sum to pay.
Different people on the phone telling me different things, and now I’ve been passed on to debt collectors which is ruining my life. And honestly has sunk me into depression.
Looking at the reviews I can see other people think the same.
Do they want people to go into depression, and not be able to live?!
No help and has ruined my life.

Had an accident and they where very helpful with getting me back on the road. Sarah my case worker was always in contact regarding my claim. Pleased with outcome and fast payout

Shambles of a company. I do not know how they still get customers. They do not communicate with yourself over claims, they send letters asking for payment and they get to you 3 days before you have to pay it, although it was sent 2 weeks before? 1st class they should be using for such important information. I would not recommend this company to anyone with a vehicle, they don't explain the claim to you and how its proceeding. They are a LUXURY car insurer as I was told, like what thanks for letting me know before I signed up and paid my premium, you can get through to your claim's officers but they will never contact you with an update. I'd warn anyone to stay away from this company and I would expect with such bad ratings on so many sites and the realisation of a pandemic, they may go under. So angry and the list could go on....but it becomes a bit more personal.

SCAMS! FRAUDSTERS! After I lost both my parents in the same year, I was left with my mums bmw x5. I couldnt get insured anywhere else as I was 24 at the time and barely had my licence a year.
Unfortunately my mums car got stolen as I parked it 2 streets away from my house for the week as I didnt renew the permit for the house ( as I was going through probate) - I kept getting tickets so I thought let me park 2 streets away for a few days until I get my new permit. Badluck as the car was stolen the same day I got the permit and to pick it up. They said its a void as it was false address or something. I had to pay to get the car towed to them once they found it all stripped. Was £600. Then it took a whole 15 months for them to reply and say they will not be paying out. Not only do I have to pay the outstanding loan on the car of £26,000... they sent me another letter for investigations costs etc for around another 600. Called them multiple times and cant get through anyone. This has completely fuc*ed me up. They just want to take money from you non-stop. Urgh I hope this company closes down. Everyone there should rot in hell

Waste of time poor customer service and inequality no understanding or compassion all about the money very unhappy with company.

To be very honest, people do really have to avoid this company called XSdirect/onecall. This is the worst insurance company/broker in the whole world. I should have listened to my instincts and feedback but I disobeyed.
Third party at fault in an accident , but they never helped in anyway to chase third party. PLEASE DO NOT USE XS DIRECT VIA ONE CALL(BROKER)
PLEASE THIS IS SERIOUS, YOU WILL INCREASE YOUR STRESS LEVEL WHICH WOULD BE BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH IF YOU TAKE OUT THEIR POLICY!!!!

I have been issued a penalty for having sold the car and not continuing with the insurance.

Please do yourself a favour and read the reviews. Never use this company.

Update: i did email the address in the cut and paste response. only to be told that there is not in fact a probklem and they are justified in putting the price up. no explanation given at all. just closed the case.

disgraceful

Jacked up my premium by 10% for no reason at all. Barely used the car because of corona but Excess Direct are there to price gouge you when you are struggling. Everyone has had a bad year an Excess are passing it in to their customers. Many of whom, like me, only use the joke of a company because I had a car stolen and couldn’t get insured anywhere else. The entire industry is disgusting.

Anyway to leave no stars

I had an accident.
They didn’t cover anything.
But did Infact charge over 4000 in fees, I didn’t pay my excess because they gave me a choice to claim - and I didn’t I fixed my vehicle myself - because it was 1000 worth of damage on a 20k vehicle which they slyly implied was a write off - false in every way - being a vehicle technician I know a write off ..

Anyway they then begin charging me for everything they can think of, calling at unreasonable hours with sarcastic call center staff.

Anyway I lost bout 5k in the end..

They target young drivers who cannot get insured elsewhere and then absolutely rinse you once you need to make a claim - money grabbers, evil, unprofessional, and false.

for your own sake pay a little more and wait for a better company.

If you're reading this looking to buy car insurance from XS Direct, run as far as you can. Will save you months and potentially years of headache as this company looks for constant ways to not payout. It's disgraceful that they are allowed to advertise on CompareTheMarket; which is the reason why I am with this company. They disguise themselves through brokers. To make a long story short, I was hit by an angry driver on purpose in the back 5-6x, made my BMW into a Cat S, and they claim that the damage was caused by me hard-braking on the other driver when the damage clearly shows that its caused by multiple collisions. All the advisors are rude and honestly they just want to steal your money, do yourself and do not give these thieves money any more. They do not care about your mental wellbeing, this car accident and the way XS Direct have dealt with it is ruining my mental health and anxiety. They dont care as long as their pockets are filled, watchdog needs to spy on this company.

Sold my expensive car and bought a new little car, they asked me an extra £849 pounds which is ridiculous as it should have gone down when you buy a cheaper and low spec car. Dont ever buy insurance with them!!!!!!

Probably the worst company I’ve ever dealt with, if you want to lose thousands joining this company’s probably your best bet.

Another victim of these thief’s! The problem is that there is no one to ask them. I have also passed my complaint to financial ombudsman .
But can’t trust anything will happen

DO NOT WASTE MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY! wish I'd read the reviews before loosing £2500. Basically have done exactly the same with myself as every other review here! Found some sort of conviction for a broken mirror from 2018 I had no idea about!! Now they have voided my insurance! Insurance companies are supposed to protect their clients! NOT SCAM THEM!
