Service Excellence
From the moment of having an accident to the completion of repairs, I have to say it was the most seamless, stress free experience I have had dealing with a claim. The 1st call to lodge the claim, the arrangement of a quote, then acceptance of repairer Berwick Panels, hire car through Hertz Officer, everything was handled by all providers so efficiently. I have not stopped telling others about my 5 star experience dealing with YOUI and their co partners. Well deserved rating and review 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Avoid as staff are preprogrammed unable to think.
1. Staff are trained to read off a proforma and ask questions already answered. Example "Has the learner driver had a suspension in the past 3 years."Answer no as learner only issued permit today and first time they received permit. Again answered earlier but staff just repeat questions even after answering earlier.
2. Was cheap insurance when first started now more expensive than GIO and NRMA.

Dealing with Youi insurance for motorcycle claim
First up... we're talking about an INSURANCE COMPANY, right? They have bureaucracy. They have controls to stop internal fraud. And there is what seems to outsiders as unavoidable mindless documentation requirements. People are wanting money from them and it is fair for them to be cautious.
Having said THAT, every interaction with Youi involved NICE people who are not shy of saying "Let me check". That is, they don't just make up crap and run with it.
It's also worth mentioning that there were different stages of the claim and I had to make different calls.
Again, everyone was nice to deal with AND the queue time was never more than a minute or two - too quick to notice.
Bottom line: If you have to deal with an insurance company, from my experience Youi seems a good option.

YouI insurance worth a read. MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR PREMIUMS. Don’t just post it. Mine went up 36%. No explanation given. A quick phone call and just ask. Save yourself$300 by raising the issue. Only insure for how much to rebuild and not a cent more. You only get paid out for what you have. So many people out there over insured and little to no excess. Bring down your premiums by increasing your excess.
Oh and get rid of those stupid ads.

Competitive but higher excess
Youi provided a competitive quote and then reduced it with a one-off discount below the other quote I had. But they do have high excess $500 more, which on this occasion was a risk I was willing to accept as I haven't had a claim on over 15 years. So, they can beat the opposition but just check excesses.
