Home EV charger fitted
It took three weeks from contacting EON (who also supply my power) to getting the Vestel charger installed. This required a video survey of my property electrics which was helpful in suggesting a good location for the charger. So, reasonably prompt for a straightforward install. The email trail could have been better though and I was for example emailed an app from VIRTA ( who?) saying I had been registered to them and their app was needed to connect to the charger. Not so. The electrician didn't need this from me and connected me to EON Home app which is what you use to operate the charger. Electrician also struggled to set up my connection because of poor 4G signal in my area- the worst part of the job he said. All the paperwork quickly arrived on email following installation- Building Regs, Electrical Certificate. I was left with the Installation Guide but no User Guide- I only found Guides on the website later. Two emails from Nat Grid arrived a few weeks later telling me I must have a new main fuse upgrade otherwise I could not be allowed to connect my charger to their network. Booked in now. So, all working, professional install, but not as smooth a journey as it should be.
