I’ve had the system for a few months…

I’ve had the system for a few months now, it’s been almost flawless in its operation from day one. The one small issue I had was submitted as a support ticket and dealt with swiftly and effectively.. a true example of how customer support should be. Overall it’s an excellent, flexible and reliable alarm system. Perfect for anyone wanting that added layer of protection for their home.

Thoroughly Recommend. Smart Home Safe.

EDIT: COMPANY WENT INTO LIQUIDATION, 1000GBP PAPERWEIGHT NOW. NO COMMUNICATION.

I held off on leaving a review for a short period after installation taking consideration into some of the other feedback left in the past regarding sensor issues.

It's been roughly 3 weeks since my Boundary system was professionally installed and I am happy to report I have had ZERO issues!

The Engineer Boundary provided to survey and install the complete system was exceptionally knowledgeable on every aspect of the system and installation; from optimal placement of all the sensors right down to getting setup on the app including every option and menu. A signal extender was required for my external siren and the Engineer was able to supply, install and test to make sure everything was working.
By the time the Engineer had left my property after install, I fully understood how to use the app / the hub itself (Including each menu) and each household member was setup with a fob and invited/setup within the app eco-system. The professional setup is 100% worth it to anyone even a little bit unsure of installing the system themselves.

The PIR and contact sensors are fast and incredibly responsive. One of the draws to this system versus a conventional alarm system is that I'd be able to integrate the sensors into my smart home setup via Alexa and Samsung Smartthings to trigger automations and routines. Everything is so far working seamlessly. I did have one slight issue which turned out to be a problem with Smartthings but Boundary did their utmost to help. It's a breath of fresh air to see how seriously Boundary approach customer service. Another draw was the pet friendly mode which has worked perfectly. No triggered alarms from my dog in the night.

I have very little complaints with the system.
I had a slight gripe with arming the alarm as it required the exit door to be closed before arming the system although I'm happy to see that this will be solved shortly via a remote firmware update. I should also commend Boundary that I was informed well in advance to expect this update.
***UPDATE***: I can confirm this has been sorted via OTA software update! Excellent!

My only other personal complaint is that the system requires to be plugged in via mains socket. In my own case this meant organising an electrician to install a socket near my entry point prior to having the system installed. This may not be an issue for the majority of people if you have a plug socket near your main entry point but it does mean you are unable to directly use the leftover mains supply from older conventional alarm systems and it leaves another dangling cable to hide! I do hope Boundary explore methods in the future to take advantage of existing mains supplies leftover from older alarm systems or even include the option to power the hub over PoE. In my eyes, this is the only point where flexibility falls short in an otherwise perfect alarm system.

There is plenty of scope for Boundary to build on this system (and I hope they do) with more security features / sensors such as glass break / noise but even in its current form, gives excellent peace of mind and functions exactly as described.

Update as of 23/12/22: After 1 year of use. I’m still absolutely thrilled with the system. Highly recommend.

We always love to hear how our customers expect and/or would like the system to work. It's so valuable for future improvements. The firmware update which is currently being rolled out includes a lot of changes that we hope will improve your experience, including the changes to the entry/exit point sensors.

We appreciate your feedback specifically around the power supply unit and how it needs to plugged in to a mains socket. Our system was designed to be flexible and this power supply unit allows ease of installation, especially for DIYers. There are a few different options on how to handle this power supply unit currently. Including using our recently released desk stand (instead of wall mounting) because it has an inbuilt cable tidy. Or extending the power cable with a USB-C extension and managing that cable using trunking, cable tacks, or feeding it through a wall cavity. Normally we suggest having the hub centrally located but easily accessible within 45 seconds of entering the home. This should allow flexibility of placement within the home and to make sure it's near a plug socket. But with all of that being said, we're also looking at other options for the power supply unit for future improvements.

Great new product

I had been looking for a new alarm for a while, but I wanted one, that was compatible with Apple HomeKit, that I could install, monitor remotely, and control remotely, of less consequence was monitoring.
I have been monitoring and looking at the market and whilst Boundary doesn't have the Apple integration today I'm assured it is coming, and the app works on iOS so it's just some additional features that should come in a software update.
I read all the reviews, not all positive, but mostly they were, above all they all stated support was very helpful so I took the plunge.
The kit arrived promptly, well packaged, with everything you need. The instructions were clear and concise, and apart from a few small issues reading QR codes everything ran smoothly.
I've had a few questions and the Helpdesk have been fantastic, proactive and helpful.
To date I can't fault the product or my interaction.
Very impressed!

Couple of teething issues... great product though

Had a couple of teething issues with some of the sensors we have been sent. Boundary are replacing these at no charge and should arrive this week. If we have no further issues it will be a 5* review.

The customer support team has been great with the assistance they have provided. We have been back and forth with them on setup issues and they always respond quickly during working hours. Credit to Leslie in that team for all the help!

Would recommend the system to a friend.

Great alarm system

I have recently built a garden office and was on the hunt for a good scalable solution to fit my requirements. I stumbled across Boundary and did some research by looking at other products as well as existing customer reviews of Boundary. After that, I needed to figure out what I needed to protect my small investment! I opted for the starter pack which included the alarm console, one motion sensor, two key fobs, and a contact sensor. The only device I did not order was the external alarm as I personally thought it was overkill for this office.

The ordering process through to delivery was straightforward enough and my own experience with fitting the kit was really easy. I had a couple of teething issues with the motion sensor but the support experience was 5 stars. There is a lot that other companies can learn from these guys, they are fast, efficient, and very supportive indeed.

The application is easy enough to navigate and use.

For my own requirements, I felt as though I have chosen a great product that is easy to install, doesn't require an electrician, and does the job very well.

Getting that 'Secure' feeling

We were looking for a home alarm system that was straight forward to use, relatively compact and not overly complicated with cameras etc. and did rely on us being 'infotech wizards'. Also looking for something that looked smart and neat. Boundary offer a range of equipment that not only looks neat and good quality but also that you can tailor to suit what you want from your own alarm system. Their website is easy to follow and their product descriptions are clear and easy to understand. Inevitably one has questions / queries that you need want to resolve before committing and the response from Boundary to these questions was quick, efficient and clear. Very helpful. The fact that they offer a professional installation service as well is re-assuring for those of us who are 'of a certain age' and not that handy anymore. The full monitoring service that they offer as an add on to the basis support package is also useful and re-assuring. Looking forward to using the new system.

Boundary! Our first home security system

UPDATED; WENT INTO LIQUIDATION, WASTED HUNDREDS. The system stopped working and now had to move to ADT. NEVER GO WITH A NEW START UP. BIG MISTAKE

Compared many home security devices before deciding on the best one for our home. Without a doubt Boundary stood out from the rest. Not only did you get more for your money then what other companies provided, providing good value monthly packages with police responses if required, costing less than almost all competitors. Having the capability of functioning the home security from your mobile device gives that extra benefit in a busy family life. The professional set up was quick and easy, everything went where I wanted it and the set up took minutes on the phone. All issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently by the Boundary team, providing step by step instructions. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a home security system for their home.

Great alarm system

Great alarm system, it is very easy to install and use. It also has some great features like smart connection, geo-fencing and inbuilt temperature sensors in the contact and motion sensors. The installation instructions are easy to read and understand. The user app on my mobile phone has a nice interface, and is easy to use. When I got stuck installing one of the contact sensors, the tech support was great, with prompt replies to my questions.

Fantastic, simple, and it just works!

Took delivery of my boundary alarm last week. First impressions were excellent- dare i say it the packaging was almost ‘apple’ like - with everything in its own box and clearly labelled.

Setting up was a breeze, with simple instructions and a very easy to follow app.

Everything just seems to work - and so far, no burglars ! So I guess it must be working!

I managed to break the clip on the hub backing plate when installing it - very pleased to say that my email was replied to next working day and a replacement part was with me ( free of charge ) two days later. You can’t really ask for more than that.

All in all a great purchase and a very happy customer!

A unique system but alas not for me.

I chose a Boundary system for its unique styling, particularly the main hub, and also the outdoor sirens. Having ordered and fitted a system comprising of hub, 6 x PIR, 6 x contact sensor and 2 x sirens it was most disappointing to find that the communication between sensors, sirens and hub was sporadic at best. I was never able to set the system due to sensors stuck in triggered positions or simply sensors failing to communicate with the hub.

Over many weeks and over 100 emails back and fore to Boundary we were unable to get the system to stabilise and regretfully I had to remove and return. However, the support received from Boundary was exemplary and I applaud them for that. Sensors replaced, extenders provided and much communication but all to no avail, unfortunately. It seems I may have been a unique case and was disappointed to not be able to get a fully working and operating system,

Superb system!

Superb system!
Have already highly recommended to family and friends.
Website is fab and really easy to choose system you need, also easy to add on any extras you might need. The delivery was quick and came in 100% recyclable boxes (no plastic). The system was super easy to set up, great start up guide included or more detailed instructions and videos online if you need more help. We found it easy so just used quick guide. The equipment Hub, contact sensors, room sensors and siren all easy to link together.
Control of system is via hub, key fobs or mobile app.
Really easy to set and disarm alarm. You can even chose which rooms to alarm if you want. Also it links to smart devices, that's our next step!

Customer support great, we contacted them about a small thing but very efficient getting back to us.

As you can tell we are really happy and glad we have Boundary keeping our home safe.

Helpful and quick response

Really helpful and quick reply to e-mails, which is handy seeing no phone contact. Had an issue with pairing one sensor but this was resolved after a couple of attempts with help from Boundary. App very good. Reasonable price and diy simple enough. Had looked at a few companies before deciding, as assured that system is pet friendly.
Hopefully the level of support stays the same. Would definitely recommend Boundary.

Boundary or Verisure??

To start with it was a bit of a roller coaster ride from installation to the alarm and sensors giving problems however with emails back and forth all was resolved. Boundary is working fine now and very happy with the purchase. I did.originally compare Boundary with Verisure however i.made the right choice. Thanks Boundary 😊

Excellent quality,very easy to fit

Excellent quality,very easy to fit, I had a problem with one my door contacts which was replaced free of charge very quickly. Communication with these guys is the best I’ve experienced with any online company and it’s that which gives me the confidence in the alarm itself.The fact that any queries are dealt with using email for me is better than phoning as the fast replies give you time to read and understand any issues you may have which is unlikely if you follow the instructions in the correct order. I doubt that there’s an easier,cheaper alarm system out there with this level of quality,

I had a simple technical issue…

I had a simple technical issue (property caused not product) the team quickly worked to understand the issue and resolved it through various tweaks at no additional cost, and made sure everything worked as it should. Many companies have lost their way on putting customer service first, Boundary stands out to me for getting it so right.

Quick and easy to order

Quick and easy to order, even simple to install, and works with my small locks. Had a small issue with the free trail, customer service team are on the ball resolved it within the day.

The boundary system is a great bit of kit, instalation was easy although I did experience a few small hick-ups along the way but the boundary customer service is second to none and sorted out the issues with ease

Wow what a great product

Wow what a great product, super easy to set up and get going, the quality of the products is also amazing. I would recommend this to both DIY installers like myself and to pro installers. I also contacted the Helpdesk for so information and had a reply in under 10min which was great customer service. 10/10 from me!!
