Unlawful

I have never used gas but that didn’t stop Daligas Ltd and ACS (advanced collection systems ltd based in Hatfield) from trying to illegally obtain money from me, using lies and unenforceable legal threats, the debt collectors were involved despite the fact that there wasn’t any outstanding debt. These companies are stealing and they need to be held accountable, I’ve had success with the Energy Ombudsman, but the public needs to be made aware of how unlawfully these companies behave. Daligas blamed ACS, I contacted the CSA (credit services association ), they blamed Daligas. The CSA advised me that Daligas instructed ACS. These companies try to extort money wherever and whenever they can !!!! Thankfully organisations like Citizens Advice and The Ombudsman services are there to help. Report Companies like these you have a voice, use it.

Daligas are a good energy company

Been with Daligas several years, one final bill a year, they adjust monthly direct debits for lower summer usage and no issues communicating with them, I send readings through the year and recommend them.

Would recommend Daligas on my experience

Been with Daligas for a number of years. I switched from one of the bigger companies. Was worried at first as I'd never heard of them before. I'm glad I switched as my bills are much lower than before. Never had any problems getting through on the phone and they are always very helpful. Only thing I'm not keen on is they only send you a bill once a year. I pay monthly direct debit and that has always covered the bill. But I do periodically send meter readings to check my DD is going to cover the yearly bill.

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking. We moved in 3 months ago, and the property was already being supplied by Daligas. We still haven't had a bill or direct debit set up despite having sent the signed forms back nearly two months ago (after the delay on their part to send us the forms in the first place). I have to chase them constantly, they are absolutely useless and difficult to contact, and there is no online service. If they weren't already the supplier I wouldn't have bothered.

Absolutely shocking company

Absolutely shocking company. Avoid. Any bill amount from them is dwarfed by the time taken to get them to get anything correct!!!
Unable to perform even the simplest of administrative tasks effectively.

5 * from me

5 * from me. Been with Daligas a fair number of years now and no problems what so ever. Only had to speak on a couple of occasions but the best thing I like is that when you call the customer service line your call actually gets answered by a human. No stress at all. In my opinion I highly recommend DALIGAS!!!!! JM 1035223*

Avoid this company

Avoid this company, the company supplied us with gas for two years, when I moved they failed to provide a final bill and rectify the over charging. Even after providing them with the information they did nothing with it. They failed to acknowledge the meter reading that was provided to them and I have been billed twice at two different readings.

I have complained to the ombudsman and they found in my favour, yet Daligas still hasn't implemented the requirements for them to refund me and apologies for their mistakes.

Once you join they refuse to let you…

Once you join they refuse to let you go. if you want to remove the supply they insist on all the pipes being removed which Transco won't do, the Ombudsman says is not required but Daligas states they will only remove the meter after all pipes have been removed and you pay £170. They transferred the gas to Bulb but we received nothing from Bulb, then they said Bulb had given the account back after 6 ish months they then opened a DD with our bank and stole money which the bank has refunded as Fraud.

I would not use them again..ever!

My experience mirrors that of most people on this site. If I could have given a zero I would have done.

Errors in their statements and communications following the final bill following the sale of my house in Oct 19. I received the final bill in Dec 19 and I paid it in January 20. I just got an email demanding another 450gbp saying that:-

"Kindly note the revised Final Bill 25/08/2018 - 11/10/2019 we issued you is correct according to accurate readings supplied to us. Please refer to the bill as It seems the first bill was based on an estimated close reading which was inaccurate sent by the Gas Transporter. The revised bill is correct as it was based on accurate close reading."

Given that I was the person who provided the, apparently, inaccurate, 'estimated close reading' (not the gas transporter) and that I attached a photo of the meter in question, I have now asked them to confirm who they believe provided them with the 'accurate close reading' that they have based their final bill on. I look forward to the reply...it should be fairly entertaining.

It is shocking that there is/was a company that was actually worse than Daligas. Extra Energy are truly abysmal. They are in an altogether different league of appalling.

I am still communicating with them more than two years after closing the account with them. I have recieved a number of increasingly unpleasant pseudo legal threats from them based on their erroneous billing and errors and no ability to respond to get a response in writing. Absolutely appalling. I have given up talking to them on the phone as every (lengthy / expensive) call has been a waste of time and although most individuals have been charming and have promised to resolve the situation, so far, they did not. Furthermore they won't give me the name/contact of an individual for me to contact in writing to resolve it. They are a disgrace.

This company is a MALIGNANT CANCER

This company is a MALIGNANT CANCER. They are rude, unavailable, never answer emails or direct questions. Unbelievable that a company like this is allowed to provide such a shameful standard or customer care and common decency. I have now consulted my solicitor who will be dealing with them directly. They are bullies and have no genuine care towards members of the public. Keep away and dont let this cancer take hold.

Daligas Don't

I moved into my flat and the gas was with Daligas and so I wanted to switch to a provider of duel fuel ( it seems after my enquiries Daligas cannot get an electricity licence ) then the hell started , firstly they objected to my switch , when I contacted them they said no, they had not objected. Next thing I get a letter from ACS debt recovery threatening to disconnect my gas supply, then another letter next day and then a letter stuffed through my letterbox by hand, saying ACS had called to talk to me but I wasn't in ( I was and no one knocked ) threatening me again that a warrant of entry would be served to enter and disconnect ? ( the gas supply is in a box outside ) This sort of behaviour from a Gas company is unacceptable and I have reported them to the Ombudsman. But what bothers me is the threats ,I am a pensioner, so I know they could not have legally cut me off for whatever reason , but if this is how they operate how many vulnerable people have they done this to. They should not be allowed to operate. UPDATE.... It gets worse .. They eventually sent my final bill £155 dated from July 2019 I moved in December 2019 so I emailed to tell them they had charged me 5 months too much... 10 emails later they eventually said they would adjust my bill accordingly and send me a new bill, that was 20th Feb. I was still waiting when today I got a wonderful surprise ! another threatening letter from their debt collection company ACS saying I owe them £225 and if I don't pay they will take me to court. Now that is extortion. I have emailed all parties and will update again when I get replies. It is beyond belief ...All I want is a correct bill. EXTRA UPDATE.... Sent 5 emails today and I have eventually got a bill at 19.33 tonight it is correct and I paid it immediately ! The weight has been lifted !
I also found out today that Daligas have been banned from taking new customers because they will not become DCC users ...ie Smart Meters .So BEWARE ! Another UPDATE just got another email off the debt collection company today 23/06/2020 saying I still owe money .........( Obviously just got back into work ) told them that maybe they should chase Daligas because they probably wont get paid for chasing me for the money I do not owe !!
