Thieves!

Well we have been with daligas for over 2 years. They are shockingly bad when it comes to customer service. They owe us a minimum of £400 but yet they are saying we owe them money. Our new energy supplier took over our supply, yet daligas kept charging us. They know we have left we had a confirmation email. Yet when you speak to them they don't understand what the issue is. It's like speaking to a brick wall. They have even caused our current supplier to question if we are trying to con them out of money as daligas gave our new supplier a magically made up meter reading. We have had to send a photograph of our meter reading to our current supplier to show them daligas has just made it all up. They don't provide you with a monthly usage bill, they send you an invoice for your direct debit and at the end of each year you then have to argue that they have overestimated. But they will argue back that you have used more even when the meter reading shows you haven't. Stay clear of them, energy firms are generally bad but daligas are the worst out of a bad bunch.

Can YOU do maths then YOU can enjoy Daligas prices!

Daligas are the cheapest supplier for me by far! They dont keep accurate records and are completely hopeless at working out bills. They do not know the difference between a credit and a debit, infact they dont even know which tariff your on. The only thing you will see is a monthly email statement telling you how much you have paid by direct debit for that month, pretty useless as it contains no consumption information or actual credit/debit balances on your account. Infact there is no information on your monthly statement of any use what so ever i would be surprised if it even meets OFGEMs minium required standard for a monthly statement.
So only go with Daligas if you want cheap gas and are prepared to keep full records of your payments, your meter readings and are prepared to do their MATHS work for them. I am using them because they are cheap period and also now fully understand how useless Daligas customer service and billing is. If you can do maths and have the required patience with Daligas you can practice brain training and enjoy cheap gas too.

Cheapest prices by far and great customer service

I switched to Daligas from Scottish Power about 2 years ago and have saved a fortune in bills. The switching process is basic as is the website, but when you call them you get straight through to someone helpful. Their prices are always the cheapest for me (South West England) and they automatically switch you to the lowest tariff (unlike Scottish Power) who kept me on a high tariff. I would agree with others about emailing them, it really is hit and miss if you get a reply so I always call them and get a response. If you want the cheapest prices with basic, no frills service then I would highly recommend them.

One star too high for this company

This is by far the worst company I have had the displeasure of dealing with.
Some reviewers on here doubt if they deserve such criticism. Let me assure you they do if I could have awarded zero stars I would have. This company does not have the competence to provide accurate billing information. Low prices have, in my opinion, resulted in them trying to run a company on a shoestring. I will be taking my business elsewhere but, based upon my experiences so far, I dread the mess they will make of the transfer process and final billing.

Terrible customer service

I joined two years ago and have received consistently poor (or often non existent customer service). Often no reply to emails or phone calls. As much as they sell themselves on one straight forward pricing plan that's not the case. I was stuck on an old more expensive plan for over 10 months - despite repeated requests they never moved me to the new one. Same old tricks as other providers just much worse customer service and no smart meters etc. I'm switching back to my old supplier. I really regret all the wasted effort trying to deal with this company.

Seriously?

After months of harassment by nPower I said enough is enough and decided to switch in July or August 2014. Found daligas online and submitted application (took me around 20 minutes). Daligas sent me back the form, which I had to sign, scan and send back. The only problem in the whole process was finding gas meter MPNR number, but it's hardly daligas's fault. After a year I got email asking me to provide final meter reading, which I did. Another 2 weeks and they sent me the final bill together with payment plan for next year. Quick and efficient.
Someone said they weren't given invoices. Maybe because daligas send them by email?
All in all - I really don't think daligas deserve the dreadful rating here. I have tried BG, SSE and nPower, they were all terrible. Daligas are cheap and I only hear from them twice a year! Checkmate!

Worst Company Ever, Save Yourself The Hassle, And Do Not Switch

If you are thinking of switching to Daligas, do yourself a favour and don't, unless you like to give yourself grief, because it will happen.

They have absolutely no idea how to run a company or how to bill you right, and then when you try and contact they do not answer the phone or emails.

They will get your billing wrong and then the money you think you saved by switching to them will get taken out of your account for their own mistakes, and no one will answer your calls for an explanation.

If I could have given a lower score than 1 star I would have

My only way out was to switch away from them, best thing I ever done, lesson learnt about dealing with a small clueless company.

Avoid at all costs.

At end of contract they failed to send me a final meter reading request. This they did some 5 months later when on receipt they presented me with a large bill with little explanation until pushed. It turns out they also stopped taking payments via direct debit so increasing the bill by some £193. They could not explain why this was done or why they then took 5 months to ask for another meter reading. I submitted a complaint as Daligas did not answer emails or call back when I left a request for them to do so.

Daligas have probably the worst complaints process I have the misfortune to come up against. They begin by not acknowledging the complaint in the first place, they take far longer than they say in their complaint procedure. They do not answer the complaint points raised. They then do not bother to answer any further emails in a timely fashion still ignoring points raised in the initial complaint. They refuse to answer any further points.

It is almost childish in their belief that if they ignore a problem it will go away. Makes British gas look positively benign.

Their billing system is basic in the extreme yet according to the blurb on their website that have an advanced IT system. I think that that probably means they have upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista.

Avoid this shambles of a company.

Avoid!

Had a 1 year contract with Daligas. You never get a bill. The same lady answers all the calls, assume its someone working from home, Don't ask for a supervisor/manager, there is'nt any. Don't try to change your D/Debit to another bank, impossible! When you finish the contract and move to another utility, cannot find out if you are in credit/debit, horrendous company, avoid at all costs!! Been trying now for last 4 months to get an answer, will end up in dispute with Ofcom.
