I’m giving them one star because you…

I’m giving them one star because you can’t give zero star. eBay UK has been the worst. After investigating an undelivered parcel, eBay told me to go and chase up the parcel myself with the courier. essentially go and do the job of the actual seller.

Ebay are UNTRUSTWORTHY!!

Bought 2 items from a buyer who dispatched immediately without a tracking reference?? The day before its last due day of arrival, the company messages me and says they dont have those colours anymore and im to pick alternate colours. I asked for a refund but hear nothing. I ring ebay and they tell me I have to wait until the delivery deadline. I said thats not right, theres no actual tracking ref and as they can see in the emails, the buyer doesnt have the colours and hadnt actually posted in the first place. Im told to report the buyer, but the options aren't relevant to my complaint. At one point the ebay person slammed something on their desk because they were upset at me questioning the unfairness of the situation. What are we paying protection for?? Ebay have gone downhill, for sellers and buyers rights. The company and platform is a pile of dog doo!!!

I have been with eBay 23 years

I have been with eBay 23 years. I bought some perfume in the US and listed it on eBay - they say I viotated their policy. I sent a receipt and they still said the same thing - no mention of what was needed. I called 3 times the last time i was supposed to be put through to a different department. The phone went dead.

I've been using Ebay for 20 odd years…

I've been using Ebay for 20 odd years but recently I sent a parcel to a customer on there and they said they didnt recieve it. I contacted post office and parcel was attempted delivery but person did not pick up, the post office say its PENDING still waiting for customer to contact them to pick it up. I can't seem to contact the post office on line just sent round in circcles. Looks like am out of £35 and the cost of posting it another £6. I wont sell on Ebay again as I did contact them and told them the customer never picked up the parcel or arranged to pickup. Instead they went ahead and refunded them Update: I was told to appeal my case so I did and won as the customer was in fault for not picking the item up or arranging to pick it up so am just waiting for a confirmation email and will have to wait to see if my money is refunded back to my bank.

Dreadful seller experience, leaving eBay after 20 years

Selling on eBay is a complete pain and something I will never do again after more than 20 years of using the site.

It's fascinating that eBay is not paying attention to any of this feedback and appears to not give a monkeys that sellers and even buyers are really unhappy.

I've sold a few items recently. Some have been okay, but others are just complete nightmare. I've been told that my fees are on hold because I need to set up a payment card to cover selling fees, and after 4 months of trying the site will simply never accept any of my cards that work fine everywhere else. Customer service has been a complete joke and just sends me around in circles.

And then the so-called simple delivery allocated an inappropriate postage service because it didn't include enough insurance for the items being sent. I was forced at the post office to pay for a different delivery service, but now the item does not show as having been delivered in eBay because they still refer to the old postage. I've told them a dozen times they simply ignore me. So it's impossible to know whether i'll ever receive the funds for the item because it will never show as having been delivered.

Any attempt to get customer service from eBay has proven to be a completely pointless exercise, and it's with regret that I can simply no longer trust selling through eBay, and recommend anybody else go somewhere else to sell items because eBay is a joke these days.

SELLERS BEWARE

SELLERS BEWARE. The buyer asked to cancel the order, order cancelled, ebay charged me for shipping label but ebay full refunded to the buyer. I have spent hours with eBay asking to refund me cost of shipping label, they sent me forms to fill up, I did but no refund issued since 2 months. SHOCKING

Ebay sent me round in circles.

Tried to buy an item and got a page telling me to register, but I already have an account. I was not given an option to sign in, so I tried to register, only to get an error message "this email is already taken". Went to help service but the computer is unable to understand. Pathetic.

eBay commission over integrity

I am appalled by eBay’s decision to remove factual negative feedback. I purchased items listed as 'New' that arrived scruffy and torn in a flimsy bag. I provided a clear photo as proof of the dreadful condition. The seller was sarcastic and used mockery to intimidate me into withdrawing my return. Despite the evidence, eBay removed my feedback within minutes, likely because the seller is 'Top Rated.' eBay is no longer a safe or reputable marketplace if they actively hide evidence of misrepresentation to protect their commission

Well done eBay

Well done eBay. Having read the poor reviews on Trustpilot it was with little hope I ventured forth to contact eBay about an undelivered item. I proceeded to raise the issue through chat but was rebuffed (I used the wrong order number for a previous purchase). I then sent an email to eBay still using the wrong order number and received a quick reply saying the issue was out of date. It was then that I discovered I had used the wrong order number and sent an email reply using the correct order number.
I then received two phone calls from eBay on my mobile which, unfortunately, went unanswered by me. I then received a third phone call but this time I was in the car in an area noted for bad reception and after a brief chat the phone went dead. Back home, I received another call from eBay who explained they would pursue the matter and they would contact the seller but I had to allow a few days. If they received no response from the seller, I would be re-credited within 3 days which I duly was as the seller did not respond.
Full marks to Dave and Christopher who were dealing with my case and provided a personal service and did not give up until it was resolved to my satisfaction.

eBay gets worse year by year

eBay gets worse year by year, have been selling and buying on the platform for 22 years and the recent addition of simple delivery is the final nail in the coffin for me as a seller. It isn't often a company sets about its own demise quite so exuberantly by changing everything that has ever worked and replacing them for scams. Congratulations eBay on writing your own epitaph.

Promotion racket for profiteering.

I like to sell used goods on eBay.
They take a fee on sale, they add buyer protection, and they MAKE you have to pay for promotions if you want your item to be visible (I have tested the difference). This is not promotion working to promote just your listing. No, the eBay algorithm works actively to demote non paid listing's so that they appear in fewer searches.
Answer? Give them a larger cut of your sale and take a loss or inflate your item cost.
Disgraceful behaviour.

Will never use eBay again

eBay is a scam company.
I purchased an expensive tech item for £500 and it has a fault, it is meant to be covered by an eBay money back guarantee on refurbished items but the seller isn't replying to messages and eBay are pretending that it's nothing to do with them, so basically eBay mislead buyers into believing that items are covered for 12 months when that is certainly not the case.

I have also noticed many fake items on eBay from designer clothing brands to expensive camera bags, all clearly fake and I have reported but they are still there.

Will be reporting eBay to the ombudsman and will never use eBay again and I strongly advise others to consider the same.

SCAM

YOUQIEDADU - buyer beware!!

Buyer beware!! I purchased from ebay for the first time and purchased a liquid multivitamin. When it arrived, it was clearly fake (spelling errors and a blatantly scanned image of the authentic logo). Questioned with ebay and they stated that it was not a breach and therefore no refund issued. Seller also unhelpful. If purchasing from youqiedadu store, please be careful!!

STOP SENDING SELLERS TO EVRI

I have used this selling platform both as a buyer and a seller for about two decades.
I have had very few issues, and when I was once scammed for over £1k I was refunded immediately by Ebay.
So why only two stars - simple - PLEASE STOP USING EVRI they are nothing but trouble - a faulty tracking system, slow to deliver, leave items out in the pouring rain the list just goes on.
From this point on any seller using Evri just because Ebay recommends them will not be getting my business - come on Ebay there are posts about this all over the internet - you are losing customers!

It’s absolutely mind numbing going…

It’s absolutely mind numbing going round in circles with foreign CSA’s who can barely comprehend the issue, every single time.
On this occasion they’ve removed one of my listings for being counterfeit… ordered directly from the brand’s website which I have proof of purchase for and held on my account. They’ve asked me to take the item into the brand’s website which store for my own piece of mind, which is laughable.
Clowns.

They promise money back guarantee is ok…

They promise money back guarantee is ok if you're the seller because as a buyer they just pretend to help. I have had major issues with a seller and faulty goods that cost over £500 , the seller has to be the worst ever and is trying to run the clock down I need the item picking up as it's a large box and weighs 45kg . I am supposed to take this to an evri drop off . They don't take parcels that big I have informed eBay several times and just get the the same response take it to a drop off. eBay are all for the seller and the buyer is just a cashcaw even after being with them for well over 35 years your just a number, Speaking of which you used to be able to phone eBay and talk to a human, not anymore it's soleless . It's a case of buyer be warned.
