I am very pleased with my installation to say the very least. Covid-19 made the ordering process a bit slow as I had to do my own survey and send pictures of my house, meter cupboard and loft, but the handbook was easy to follow and once I sent them to E.on solar the process kicked off nicely. I received a telephone call about 6 weeks later was was told that the storage battery consignment from China was delayed due to the worldwide shipping crisis, but I accepted the offer of having the panels installed and the battery at a later date.
The installers and electrician all arrived on the set date nice and early and by the time the scaffolding was erected, the electrician arrived. All three men worked hard and could not have been more friendly. They took their shoes off when entering my home which was thoughtful. The scaffolding was dismantled and removed on the same day which I was pleased about.
I hope to get the storage battery installed before Christmas and look forward to that.
E.on refuse to honour their commitment
If you owed E.on they'd be all over you like a rash, but if they owe you money for solar generation, they blank your emails and pass you from pillar to post on the phone. Owed since Dec 2020 but they only offer excuses, now they don't even bother to reply. Expect someone from the company will reply to this, but just to say it's not his department. Untrustworthy and useless.
Transfer of Ownership Hopeless Feeling Robbed
Trying to again chase up transfer of ownership, put our DD up to £108 and we use £12>15 a week, without deducting our Solar which is close to 50% off our consumption that we are owed from 19-Mar-2021 to 18-Aug-21, emailed solarsupport at eonenergy.com cc'ing in complaint.info at financial-ombudsman.org.uk, the feedback on here is appauling and explains the lack of resolution. if your interested in at all resolving this email me anita.glindoni at gmail com but I bet you are not, I also gave the link for this in my email so the Ombudsman can take a look!

Utterly useless. Getting the panels installed was protracted to say the least, with no communication. Then 6 days after installation they fail. Trying to get a response regarding getting them fixed is impossible - no-one rings back. They are a total shambles, do not use this bunch look elsewhere.
Fitters didn't turn up (weeks holiday wasted)
Waited almost 2 months for an install date and then was eventually provided with a start date of 8 Feb 2021. The date came and no one turned up. The rep told us he would "speak to the office" but then never responded to us despite knowing that my partner had booked the week off work in order to assist the fitters (moving furniture/answering questions etc). It took 4 days for the rep to respond and tell us that the fitters were not coming that week because they were waiting on a form from the Grid.
It is 3 weeks later and we have not received any updates nor the promised explanation from a manager. We have also asked what our cancellation rights are and asked for a copy of the T&C's and have not received a response.
***PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY***
Once you sign the T&C's & Finance they are no longer interested. We are going to have to go to the Ombudsman and it is a headache that we just don't need right now.

Waste of time don’t bother with them the cost from a private solar company is better and cheaper as e-on solar waste more money things u don’t need like scaffolding and strapping etc and providing better service and trustpilot removing my review from here e-on solar cost £4500 for 3.4kw private is £2700 for the same u do the math
30 MONTHS & Still NO Account Set up!!!! What a Joke!!
We purchased our property in May 2018 the original home owners used Eon for both the Utilities & their Solar account. We remained with Eon for ease...big mistake on our part!!!Fast forward to November 2020 our account still hasn’t been set up or the ownership transferred despite both parties submitting their paperwork.
Raised a complaint 11/9/20 and despite several conversations with Eons Complaints Department no one seems to be able to get the Solar Team to even contact us some 11 weeks later. I’m literally lost for words I’ve never experienced incompetence like it. I’d expect 30 months quite long enough for anyone’s patience to run out. Energy Ombudsman time I think!!!!
My advice to you all....AVOID AVOID AVOID!!
EON -Total disgrace
EON -Total disgrace - we have an issue with our Solar Panel meter I have phoned EON, I have emailed EON to ask for help and guess what NOTHING!!! My partner is suffering with heart failure we do not need this stress but are now having to go to the Energy Ombudsman as I have had no response. Anyone thinking 🤔 of using EON please don’t.
Transfer of ownership for solar panels still not sorted a year after selling property
Sold my house nearly 12 months ago submitting final readings & completing transfer of ownership documents in the process. New owners did the paperwork their side too. 11 months on, several attempts to make contact with eon, I’m being ignored. I’m owed money & the new owners still haven’t got official ownership. My recommendation would be to avoid eon at all costs.

Looking to have solar panels installed…
Looking to have solar panels installed . Had other companies out who were promising us that we would loads of money from our unused electric and that we would never have an electric bill again. Chap from Eon has just been round. he was very honest and transparent, answered all our questions truthfully. He should us figures and discussed our electric needs and he agreed that we would not make as much money back with a solar system as the other companies had promised. Def recommend Eon to come and give quote. take care using companies that promise you the world as they only seem to want to sell product where as Eon more interested as you as a person and your circumstances
Unable to transfer ownership of solar panels with E.On
Hi there,
We have solar panels that were supplied by e.on to the previous owner of a property we now own. We have tried on several occasions to transfer the ownership of the panels to ourselves but e.on have ignored all our attempts so far. It is now over year since we acquired the property and have not seen any income from our panels. We have submitted the paperwork four times now, its been signed for by someone at e.on so we know you have received it and we have submitted a compliant to you and have had online chats with you, all to no avail. How can we sort out the transfer of ownership if you ignore us? I might as well just turn them off.

The installation was botched
The installation was botched. No proper planning and 4 weeks taken to finish the work. Scaffolding left at the back of the house for more than a week. Multiple visits to my property made by various engineers. Electricty meter damaged and left with exposed live wires by the original subcontractor installation team. Offered £200 as compensation. All in all absolutely terrible. Not using for my supply now and would not encourage anyone to entertain the idea.

Since receiving an email in Feb…
Since receiving an email in Feb regarding my incorrectly and dangerously installed solar panel system I am still to receive a follow up call. I was promised that someone would contact me after the FIT a scheme had been completed after the rush of applicants. After reinitiating contact, I’m still to receive a reply.

Transparent cost and quality installation
The job was done to quality and cost with good explanation and no hard sell. Options were left to me. The only aspect that could have ben better was communication from the ‘back office’ team with regards to timelines and scaffolding. This is only a minor ‘winge’ From what was a straightforward installation an follow up. Would use again when I come to extend the system with batteries.

It was a great decision to get solar installed, I managed to get everything booked in and installed before February. Now I am enjoying the benefits of solar power and waiting for summer sun!

Now I'm earning money by generating my own energy!
I was surprised how cheap this was from E.ON, less than half the price I was quoted by someone else a few years ago and I got 12 months interest free...also preferred I got this from a trusted brand who knew what they were doing.
I had the full roof done, front and back and the quote made it easy to understand how much I'd generate with some fancy app that showed the position of the sun, how the panels would look on my roof and even accounted for shade from trees.
I think they underestimate what it'll generate so they don't over promise as I'm generating a good deal more than they said.
Good job they help with all the Feed in Tariff paperwork as that would have been a nightmare to do on my own.
The install was really quick, up in a day and scaffolding down a few days later. I was surprised with the quality of the kit, as I've seen some ugly looking panels before and these look high-end and low profile; the part they put in my cupboard looks cool too (sad to care I know, but suppose you can tell it's a quality bit of kit).
Even better than being the envy of my neighbours is the realisation than every day I'm basically getting my electric for free (I've figured out it'll pay for itself within 7 years and then I'm quids in!). I need to look into a battery next so I can store it for use at night and figure out what's best for heat, then I'll pretty much be off grid, avoiding big energy bills and doing my bit to replace the need to burn fossil fuels. Just wish I had a drive so I could get an electric car!
