The recipes are very tasty

The recipes are very tasty. I love that I can always find something that sounds good each week and try something new. The quality of the ingredients is pretty good 99% of the time. If something is missing or is bad their customer service is quick to remedy. It is inconvenient because you have to figure out a substitute for said missing ingredient.

I ordered meals with a promotional…

I ordered meals with a promotional offer and ordered more meals than I consume in a weeks time frame. I did my normal meal prep routine and froze the extra meals to make sure they didn't go bad before I could consume them. For me this works out well. The meals so far are great and easy to prepare.

Decent meals

The meals are good. A little expensive for the amount of chicken/beef/pork received in each kit. Packaging is not great because when the ice packs melt it causes the inside of box (all cardboard)to break down and the white jelly material inside to get all over everything.

All the meals so far have been very…good

All the meals so far have been very good. Quality of everything you sent has also been very good. A little more prep than I would like, but that's ok. Delivery worked fine unlike experience I had with Green Chef.
My only issue is all of the plastic for food items.And trying to empty "gel" inside freezer packs didn't work out well. Hoping that with future innovations, your packaging may be more eco-friendly.

Pre-Portioned Ingredients Help a Lot

The best part of the HelloFresh recipes is that the main ingredients arrive pre-portioned in the shipment, which makes cooking much easier. My only mior suggestions are:
1. Present the recipe steps in a timeline or bullet-point format. I’ve occasionally missed an ingredient while following the instructions.
2. Use larger print on the ingredient packets, preferably against a colored background. Tiny fonts on clear plastic are especially difficult to read.
3. Add a general statement for prep time, e.g. boiling water for pasta about 12 minutes, washing and drying then chopping spinach about 8 minutes, etc
4. Have a table showing how much water to boil for x ounces of pasta.

Low quality proteins

The proteins in these boxes are low quality; specifically we had the chicken, and I don't know what they use, but we're not feeding it to our kids again.

Their cancellation process is also "tricky" at best. Can't recommend.

Missing ingredients

Missing ingredients, recipe card, incorrect ingredients and late delivery times made me finally cancel after many years.
I’ll be trying one of the many other meal delivery services instead

Packaging is horrible

Packaging is horrible. Do not put bagels, bread items and tomatoes on the bottom. My box was smashed. Offer more variety of popular meals not just bowls. I would love to see more homestyle or basic meals like potroast, alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken french, spinach artichoke chicken, meals for kids. Take a look at other competitors and their meal options. Price is also outrageous for the small portions. I ordered for 4 people and theres only enough for 2. Example pasta or rice meals if your going to have such small portions a side like salad or bread should be included as a filler. Until serving size and price changes i probably wont be back unless there is a promo.

Shipped Box to Old Zip Code

Went to sign up for it after seeing a new customer offer on United Airlines loyalty program. Entered my info, picked my meals, entered the payment info and it then went to a page saying it found my old account from years ago and changed the delivery address to my sister’s who I shipped food to years ago. It striped the new customer offer from the account too.

I changed the street address and entered the info again, however it never changed the zip code so my box went to Ohio when I am in Utah. Customer service is useless and can’t do anything so I am stuck for a week without food.

I just canceled and am moving on with another service. They screwed themselves out of a customer by trying to avoid paying the new customer offer by finding an old account with old info, and have to eat the cost of a box that is refunded because it went to the wrong address.

Beware

Beware. You may not get the correct items or the boxes delivered all at once.
Potatoes and dome veggies are not fresh Many bruises, that you don’t see because the are wrapped in a bag.
Two orders messed up. I get mistakes happen, but come on.
Not as good for the expensive price.

I don't like that there are frys on…

I don't like that there are frys on just about every meal. And the potatoes that are sent are tiny like 2" and smaller . These potatoes don't cook well. they make tiny frys frys should be made from normal sized potatoes. There needs to be more variety in how the potatoes are cooked.there are so many way to cook potatoes.and vegetables in general need more variety. I like green beans but not 7 days a week. Overall the meals are great quality, and recipes have very good flavors. I love your service. But would like to see improvements. On the delivery side I get wrong meals delivered a lot and wrong recipes get sent and have to improvise when it happens.

Feedback on delivery timing and produce

The delivery has been arriving late in the day. This makes it impossible to cook the first meal same day. I don't want to move the delivery to an earlier day as I don't need the convenience on the weekends.
Some of the vegetables seem not fresh. The green beans received this week seemed old and had leaves included that were moldy. The tomato that we received was not ripe.
The baguettes for the sandwiches do not open without tearing and they do not resemble what is shown on the pictures.
Outside the above, the service is as advertised.
