Lenovo is now outside the EU dont buy direct at all Better still dont buy at all Its not IBM anymore. Very unreliable now! 2k Thinkpad bought direct in Feb 23. Still waiting 8months for a refund meanwhile I have no device. Stupid things this company does & thinks consumers won't speak out. Repairs are Rubbish too.

I will never deal with Laptop direct or Lenovo again..They're both a con.. Laptop direct sold me a faulty Lenovo laptop for £595 & wouldn't replace it .. Lenovo wouldn't replace the broken laptop because warranty on laptop was nonsense , i Sent the broken laptop to Lenovo to repair ..three Days later they return it to me saying no fault found ...next day laptop died.
avoid Lenovo & Laptop direct..all a con. Buy locally both companies are nonsense...

Unresponsive, Broken Laptop, Best Avoided

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding my recent purchase of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10, for which I have encountered several significant issues. Despite my several previous attempts to reach out for assistance with Lenovo Ireland, I have yet to receive a response, exacerbating my dissatisfaction with the overall experience.

Regrettably, I have encountered the following problems:

Screen Flashing: Upon logging in, the screen begins to flash incessantly, rendering the laptop completely unusable. This persistent issue severely inhibits my ability to perform any tasks or access the laptop's features.

Malfunctioning Fingerprint Reader: From the outset, the fingerprint reader failed to function correctly during the setup process. Its inability to recognize my fingerprints undermines the promised convenience and security features associated with the laptop.

Windows Loading Error: On numerous occasions, when attempting to power on the laptop, I have encountered an error message indicating that Windows has not loaded correctly. This recurring issue is disruptive and adds further frustration to an already unsatisfactory experience.

Given the aforementioned problems, I have been left with no alternative but to revert to using my previous Mac laptop. This unexpected setback not only wastes my time and effort but also diminishes the trust I had placed in Lenovo as a reputable brand.

I kindly requested by email that Lenovo thoroughly review my case and promptly provide an appropriate resolution. I expected a comprehensive explanation of how Lenovo intended to rectify these issues and restore my confidence in Lenovo as a reliable provider of quality products.

Instead, although I contacted Lenovo several times, I have been completely ignored and have received no support whatsoever, The company will not even reply to a single email. Quite a disgrace.

If you value your sanity avoid this website.

If you value your sanity avoid buying from this website. I waited weeks for delivery and was told it had been returned to sender due to "service disruption". They said they would send another but I never heard anything further from them. Got to speak to someone in Asia in customer service (with an accent that meant only one word in ten was understood) and I think I was told "it would be expedited"! Waited another 2 weeks and still nothing. Fortunately I was able to get a refund from Paypal who also heard nothing from them. I think there may be a scam of some sort here.

AVOID - POOR SUPPORT, CUSTOM CHARGES?

I am trying to buy a Lenovo Legion 5, the one I want with the specs I desire is on Lenovos Store, great right?

Well you'd think so but no, trying to get information from the chat support is a complete waste of time, I was connected with 2 different "support" memebers, first guy didn't even type; I waited 10 minutes, nothing, so I left the chat. What is the point of his employment if he can't even do the bare minimum.

The next guy I got went by the name "Daniel S", he told me I would not face custom charges or any extra charges, but then 2 minutes later said I would if they send from China, so he didn't know, which is the whole reason I bothered using support as I seen plenty of reviews from Reddit or elsewhere stating the Irish side use Digital River to do the logistics, and as a result have UPS or whoever at the door with the item demanding an import fee of a few hundred euro for laptops etc.

Then I asked was there a warehouse in Ireland, as he stated it would be shipped from inside Ireland, he responded "I don't have that information", then said he had a techinal issue and disconnected me a second later.

Unsatisfied and not given a clear answer, I go into another live chat 1 minute later, the same guy with the techincal issue is the guy whos assigned to me, I say he fixed his issue fast and he disconnected me again.

All in All, I'd say avoid using Lenovo Ireland, whilst their products are good and sustainable, you seemingly are left responsible to pay Customs charges ontop of your VAT and the support is absoutely shocking.

Terrible company, avoid at all costs

Very disappointed in our dealings with this company. Having discussed our requirements in a PC with them and ordered it at a cost of €1700 it arrived with no operating system! How can you call it a computer without an OS.
It’s just a box of parts.!
Very bad customer care alround and very disappointed in this company. The lack of an OS was not flagged to us at any time and we’ve ended up not getting what we thought we were buying and having to fork out an extra €150 and having a very disappointed child on his birthday . Furthermore I don’t consider social media a suitable platform for proper customer care. We made several phone calls which were cut off. Sent emails that were not responded to. Buyer beware!

Good experience

Reading the reviews on this site I was worried about placing an order for the new Z13. However, I couldn't buy it anywhere only Lenovo's website in Ireland.
Placed customised order online which shipped in 1 week from China (stated 2 weeks to shipping initially when ordered). Posted via UPS (which also made me anxious - not as good as DHL imo). Delivered with no issues within 10 days.
From what I can gather - buy a laptop in which the model number does not have UK at the end, to avoid customs charges upon importing to Ireland.

Today, we are no closer to receiving the items that we ordered.
The latest communication from Lenovo was to tell us that we actually had received what we ordered - despite the fact that we sent them pictures. We ordered laptops and received screens... WORST EVER CUSTOMER SERVICE

How I wish I had looked on Trustpilot before buying. Fault with laptop and a month later I am still trying to get a replacement. EVERY DAY I get an email from them thanking me for my patience and EVERY DAY I answer that I have lost my patience and I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHEN I WILL GET THE REPLACEMENT. The answer is the same.... we have asked our "internal department". The email is from a different person every day and the wait just goes on and on and on and on.

Appalling company to deal with

Appalling company to deal with. I ordered a monitor through digital river 9 days ago and it still hasn't arrived. I just checked the tracking and apparently there was a "service disruption" and the screen is being sent back to sender. I spoke to Lenovo customer service last night and they haven't a clue what's going on. I phoned again this morning and was told that once the monitor was sent back to them they would send it out to me again. This is 9 days later, I'm still without a monitor for work and I received absolutely no satisfaction from this company. Never again!!!!

Very bad

Very bad. You will be buying a nightmare and endless hours of stress with your money. Lenovo.ie is just a front website for Digital River which is a company that should not be allowed to do business in any country. They lost my order. Didn’t accept to issue a refund and no one in customer care really knows what to do. Their customer care is in the Philippines and they are not allowed to do any actions besides raising tickets to the "internal team" which never replies to them. 1 month later I have no laptop, no tracking number, no update and no refund.

Lenovo.ie buy your Lenovo products from anywhere else

Lenovo.ie use Digital River for their sales/checkout if you want a Lenovo product buy it from anywhere else other than directly from the Lenovo.ie website.

2 laptops ordered and paid for at the very start of May. Shipped within a few days by UPS. Items never delivered. When contacting UPS to see where they were they (UPS) had received a request from Lenovo to not deliver them and send them back - no reason given.
After two weeks and using tracking numbers provided by UPS the laptops had been returned to Lenovo.
Lenovo customer support up to this point unable to tell me anything other than they are looking into it with their internal team.

Move forward a week no communication from Lenovo and after a lot of emails to the ticket they opened to resolve the problem they sent back a tracking number for the order by TNT. I would not have got this information only for I have been emailing them.
Order arrived the next day - only 1 laptop in the package...

Emailed Lenovo again, told again they are looking into it and would come back in two working days.

Three working days later no communication from Lenovo.

Emailed again demanding either a tracking number showing the laptop dispatched or a refund.

Requested that if laptop had not been sent and no refund issued that they explain why so I have a record that I can use to claim my money back from my card provider.

No reply about either the laptop or refund at the time of writing this review.

False Advertising

Purchased a Legion desktop on line .It was advertised to have 32GB memory installed.When it arrived it had 16GB installed. Emailed the support people and explaining my problem they insisted that 16GB was the correct amount for that PC.I even sent them a screen shot of the advert to no avail.I spent hours on the phone to Lenovo being passed from one number to another and getting nowhere. In desperation i have requested to return the Pc for a refund. My worry now is if I return it I may have trouble getting my money back. Let the buyer beware of digital River and Lenovo

Lenovo in Ireland contracts out to Digital River (“DR”), which is an abhorrent, despicable company.
DR took my money but never delivered my order. It’s been 3 months. I wish I read the other reviews before placing my order, as this seems to be common practise for Lenovo/DR in Ireland. I wish I could leave ZERO STARS.

I have followed up DOZENS of times. Each time you get a canned, run-around response that their "dedicated team is actively working to provide a solution.” It’s copied & pasted from different members of their so called Customer Service team. I have already filed a complaint with the CCPC and have just filed today with the Small Claims court in Dublin Metropolitan District.

While the monetary value of my purchased goods was relatively small, I will spend whatever money it takes on legal/court fees to see that they are held accountable.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS BRAND. I am only giving one star because you have to give something- I would much rather give them no stars. When my laptop stopped working suddenly, I sent it off to be checked and expected it to be repaired under warranty since it just stopped working out of nowhere. I was advised by their repair company 'MACROEV' that this couldnt be fixed under the warranty because I had 'poured hot water into my laptop'. They didnt explain how they came to this conclusion, only that it would cost £2,000 to fix it, much more than the laptop had actually cost. I asked for it back so I could have it fixed elsewhere and was told the fee to send it back would be €73.00. I therefore asked when I could come to collect it instead and was advised it couldn't be released to me until I paid this fee of €73.00. I therefore haven't gotten my laptop back and have no trust that if I pay the fee, I would even get it back. There are many other brands which are reputable and I would advise anyone to avoid Lenovo as their products are shoddy and their service even worse.

Gaming PC

I ordered a new PC from the student area of their website. Everything came ahead of schedule and was delivered outside of my working hours which was perfect. Everything was easy to set up and seems to be working great. It was the cheapest place I could find a PC with an RTX3060 ti in a decent PC.
The only very minor complaint I have is that when you sign up they send you codes for 10% off one item but the promotional codes don't work on the student side of the website which I don't think was said anywhere.
I'll update this if anything happens but everything seems great so far.
