I cancelled my Link account because I had a bad experience with a company who used Link and Stripe in an attempt to sign me up for a service with a monthly fee. When I posted review to warn others about this practice, the company offering the service tried to patronise me, blaming me for apparently being too stupid not to realise that their request for ID information was the initiation of a "purchase". Link and Stripe should have safeguards in place - eg, a text and email asking the customer if they are willing to share their credit card information with another company.
I paid in a fraud company and wanna Link.com to help me issue the refund, but Link Customer Service told me they "Link only acts as a bridge between you and the business you're transacting with." and "Since you have used all the channels to reach xxx, if they still continue to not answer, please reach out to your bank and dispute the charge with this business.", it's not l like Paypal which protect my money, it's like I am paying to the merchant directly, if the merchant is a fraud, I can do nothing with Link. The worst payment for customer.
Today i just got a email from them that they have updated there terms of service, as far as i remember i never used them whatsoever. seeing reviews from other folks is making me worry.
DO NOT USE LINK!!!
THEY ARE STEALERS!!!!
I saved my credit card to link.com on friday
within a couple of hours 'someone' used my card for thousonds of dollars!!!!!
STAY FAR FROM THEM!!!!
UPDATE: Link's tech support was able to tell me the date and the website where my account was created when I ordered a product online. Link tech support also gave me instructions so I was able to delete my Link account and remove my info from their site. /update
I have never used Link and have never signed up for an account. Somehow they acquired my bank info and my email address and phone numbers and created an account in my name. I'm trying to delete that account now. What is Link and how did they get my info and how can I remove all my personal info?
This is GOLD for scammers!
I faced trouble with some hosting provider using Link. After the payment the service was not delivered and there was no support from hosting provider.
So i did check Link terms and if there is way to make claim or ask refund. There is no way, also asked from chat if that is the case and they confirmed that.
They just told me to contact hosting provider and wait for answer.
So any company who sells digital services which are never ever delivered can use Link and get money. These are not refundable and Link takes no action.
Great Teachers willing to help and answer all qestions. very well organised.
Beware you cannot cancel a subscription service through Link. I paid for a gym membership using LInk,
I later cancelled my membership and removed my payment details from my link account. The Gym kept taking payments and when I contacted Link they said they couldn’t prevent the company taking payments as it was a subscription. When I asked how long the subscription was for they said they didn’t have this information. So basically if you use Link as a payment service you opening yourself up to open ended payments. I believe Link must provide the company with enough information about my payment card to enable them to continue take payments. This is what they say on their website;
“To process your order, businesses have access to your email address, phone number, shipping and billing addresses and card expiry date when your pay with a card, or the last four digits of your bank account number when you pay with your bank account. When you place an order using Link, we do not share your full card number or CVV code with the business.”
in my opinion they must provide more information otherwise the company would not be able to take unauthorised payments.
unbelievable how this a service from stripe... stripe works great, no complaints but link.com?! is it a scam?! so we used link.com to pay heygen with our bank account, we were charged twice, no purchases appear on link.com, heygen is still in free mode and when we ask for refund they say it's not their problem heygen needs to fix it... learn to work please! we need refund!!! and never use this link.com again!! ever!!!
Bought item from tailored athlete and my card details got stored in link.com and there is no way to cancel account. No office or direct contact information available. Scammy site.
Be aware. They are sold the card information and took all money from your Card. They already made a purchase worth $350 from my Card.
This company sold my credit card information. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!
Removed my card details, but have found payments still being taken out of my account although the company should no longer have access to my card records, very concerning!
The pre-saved bank cards used multiple times previously get declined randomly. No support. No alternatives. All of the cards I used dozens of times got rejected one day without any reasons provided.
Awful, tried to pay my friend's company through the link she sent me (she uses Stripe, who use link.com for their payment links).
The money left my account immediately (11 days ago), her account never received it.
Contacted link.com and they were extremely unhelpful just telling me to go back to my friend to fix it.
I clicked on a link on a website, and I find out I was trying to get charged $50!! All my info was filled out, and they were texting to my phone without ever having given any of that info!! They must be grabbing cookies from other websites. I had no warning that I would be charged.
On yesterday 25 April 2024 I made a purchase via the Link site on behalf of this e-commerce salepeaket.live The name of the company to which I gave 39.27 euros is evergreen colting PTY Ltd in Australia. I don't have any news from any of the three sites. I immediately request a refund or take legal action and competent bodies such as the police. Never buy from any of these sites. They are all scams and fakes
Beware , you can't cancel your subscription through Link , they only provide a ‘Contact Business’ email to get in touch with the business or store directly to cancel your membership !
Link will not allow you to modify subscriptions or cancel . To do so, you will need to speak to the store/website you purchased from.
