Do not use this company

Do not use this company. You will regret it have a look at their reviews. They were late to arrive. They overcharged me. The driver was on the phone literally for half a day. We did not finish our move because of them being late, so the second load had to be dropped off to families and friends they broke furniture. I paid insurance for it but I can’t get hold of anyone. They don’t return your call or when you finally do you get through they keep putting your call to someone else and then they put you onto another department. It’s just that they don’t want to know you at all so definitely guys DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY
Months down the track I’ve got an email offering me $150 it’s just not right

Given the recent disgraceful service, and abhorrent lack of conscience on the conduct of your contractors in a recent move we unfortunately contracted you for, I have written several reviews on Trustpilot.

Is there any chance that you will ever address this serious reputational issue on your own behalf, acknowledge, and respond?

I am only using this platform as every other platform, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and any other media providers that I choose to follow up on, I’m somehow and mysteriously deleted.

As promised, please bring your legal action forward as quickly as possible .. I have now had interest from media regards this as a public news and interest story..

WARNING

WARNING

Following the poor service and extremely overpriced final payment request, I had to call SA Police to have the contractors removed from the property as they were inside and refusing to leave until paid in full.

The most concerning part of this incident is that this house is a SUPPORTED LIVING FACILITY for people with intellectual disabilities who were being supported at the time. They were subject to very distressing circumstances with police involved, which in turn caused them significant emotional stress.

Throughout the subsequent correspondence which has been extensive both via email and phone since this occurred 24 hours ago, never once has Movee made any mention or attempt to acknowledge this.

This issue has been reported to ACCC, Business and Consumer Affairs SA, and is being followed through with the Small Business Commissioner.

Do not trust or book this removalist

Do not trust or book this removalist. Just for 4 hours charged me a $740+$100 deposit. One of the guys said that he will stop removing it and leave because I told him to wrap my furniture before taking it to the track, I feel it’s blackmailed. And the same guy talking over the phone continuously while working and telling me to carry things and I did. When my furniture arrived at the storage unit few pieces of furniture were left in his small track the same guy demanding for money without completing the job and started an argument with me. Finally, I paid the $840 that he requested and send them. Also, Inside my storage unit, without placing my furniture neatly, they just place them and left. Even if you request the eight-tonne truck, they purposely bring the small track to remove your things and waste your time and finish the work two times by picking up and dropping off, and finally, they will demand money. From my recent experience, I typed them. This happens 8th of June 2023. So beware!

Was charged $850.00 for 4 hours work .. Although could have been done in 2 hours.. One driver stayed on truck while other moved item .. Nice guys but VEEERRYY SLLOOOWW maybe they have been told to do that.. Was also charge $50.00 to wrap the tv up .. First they asked for $100.00 .. *****DO NOT USE THESE GUYS ***

SCAM REMOVALIST - WARNING !! NEVER USE

Had the worst experience ever - this company is completely useless and a SCAMMMER

Was a simple move of 11 items to another location about 40mins away.

1. Booked them to arrive in the early afternoon,
2. Chased them up twice as they didn’t arrive
3. Finally had a person call me who was sending a truck and said was only told about the job 10mins before he called me and his guys were on their way - they arrived 1.5hrs late.
4. These guys were useless - suppose to be professional and damaged nearly every piece of furniture and belongings even after I told them to be super careful.
5. They then stopped half way and said they weren’t going to load as they were told I wasn’t going to pay ?? This is where this Movee gets to scam you by having the truck half full and then say you must pay 6hrs upfront - even though the job is only 3 to 4hrs.
6. If you don’t pay them on the spot they will unload everything onto the side walk - so this is how they scam clients and rip you off
7. To add insult to injury they damaged a hanging lamp which cost $179.00 to fix, I’ve put in a claim and 2 weeks later heard nothing back from Movee even though they said they would pay.

My strongest advice is not to use MOVEE ever !!

Movee is a scam and they try to call you ongoing to get other services from you.

You’ve been warned - MOVEE is a scammer

I've now chased them a number of times to pay me for the damage to the property before vacating completely - they have not responded at all.

MOVEE needs to be closed down as a SCAMMER company.

Do not use. Big scam bullying by women.

Do not use - especially females! I got scammed!
I’m a 30 year old small female. 3 6ft+ removalists came to my place and started packing the truck. I thought it was weird but they packed all the small stuff first but I left them to it as they were the experts. At the end of the job there were a number of large items that didn’t fit. They said they would help me out and work over the allocated time to do an extra trip. After they finished up I paid for it all via transfer and they then intimidated me into giving them an extra $150 cash. 3 large men in my home with me I was only in a position to give it to them.
On top of that they damaged some of my furniture and multiple walls in my brand new house.
I contacted Movee and they told me they’d compensate me for the damages but I never saw the money even after following up.

This company was rude

This company was rude, unprofessional and dishonest from the beginning. Movers were meant to show at 1pm they turned up at 12 which I thought awesome we can finish early, I was wrong. Shortly after they began moving they disappeared for 20 minutes. I went to check and they were sitting at the back of the truck talking. They moved a few more things and sat down for approximately 20 minutes again. When I asked what they were doing they said don't worry brother we will get it done in 4 hours. I said I was hoping for 3 hours Max as my little 2 bedroom unit shouldn't take long. (I worked as a removalist for 3 years in the past) They then said we were told you were quoted 4 hours. I said no I was quoted 155 an hour. Anyway they took 2 1/2 hours to put everything in the truck. The move finally finished at 1530 and the guy said 4 hours brother? I said no it's 1530 that's 3 hours. He said ok brother then they left. Shortly after I received a call from their admin team asking for payment. I said I was driving I will pay as soon as I get to where I'm going. They asked me to pull over so I can pay, it will only take 2 minutes. I said I havnt received an invoice. He said no you need to give me your card details and I'll process the payment. I said no send me and invoice. After a number of calls I said send me an invoice or I am not paying and stopped answering the calls. The weekend went by and they called on Monday saying the same thing. After I hung up on them they finally sent an invoice and I paid. But even before the move I was getting multiple calls a day about different services they provide. After the job their admin also quoted me 4 hours. They said the moves worked from 1200 - 1600. I said mate it's not even 1600 yet and they have gone. The worst removalist company ever.

Over-priced service with a barrage of phone calls

Over-priced service. Did not go ahead with them as they were $80 per hour more expensive than other companies. When I initially signed up, I received no more than 12 phone calls from different parts of Movee providing additional services like, "Better Insurance" even though I was advised that it included the insurance as well as "gas and electricity" transfers with companies that are at a much higher rate. This is a shoddy company. Stay away. You have been warned.

Most stressful experience ever

Booked for a 9am move. For 6 hours I was told the truck was 15 minutes away along with excuses of the truck broke down and was stuck in traffic. I was also told I should consider cancelling the service when I already had everything packed and awaiting pickup. This company overbooks for the sake of getting their commission. Do not rely on them and go directly to the company they subcontract the jobs to. I was fortunate enough that the company that arrived for the move were great and got the move done despite it finishing at 10pm, in darkness and rain. Movee over books for the sake of getting their commission. Save your effort and go straight to the moving company direct.

Buyer beware…

Thankfully I didnt even engage their services, I only sent out 1 enquiry for a quote. Ever since that time I have been barraged by emails and phone calls (from a different operator) every-time, every time I politely request them to cease contacting me and stated I would contact them.
I get a very negative ‘vibe’ from this company and question if they are legitimate or not because they are not acting professionally or respectfully. Be careful.

Massively overcharged, Slow Performance, Extra costs with no notice

Was charged $1,512.50 (8 hours) for a small, 1-bedroom apartment without any prior indication of excessive effort.

Movers were slow in their performance compared to all other moves by other providers that we had witnessed in the past.

Charged extra fee for piano without advising of additional costs and getting approval. Movee was made aware of the piano at the time of booking.

Movers left boxes and items unattended out in the open.

Movers tried to document the job as a 2-bedroom move instead of a 1-bedroom move.

Took approximately 1 hour to reach a support person at Movee to address the situation, by which point it was already too late as mover was threatening charging additional time if payment was not made immediately. Movee staff were not able to help.

Stop please don’t use this company at…

Stop please don’t use this company at all…. This is a scam company… they charge you so much I paid double amount. They staff didn’t explain to me about their 10% service fee they are too expensive as they over change you for everything and their truck is so small. I paid $900 almost double Amount of what I should have get from other services… staff is not trained they just move one box in a time and they want make extra hours for more money. Not recommended to anyone as it will be nightmare.

The whole house wasn't moved

The whole house wasn't moved. The removalists were working incredibly slowly. After 4 hours of packing the truck, the men had only packed half the truck. At $180 an hour, this didn't seem fair.
Then, when I called to ask why it was taking so long, the men decided to fill up the truck faster, and then made a 2 hour drive, 4 hours. It took just over an hour to unload the truck.
When that was happening, the men asked repeatedly if I was paying cash or card, I said that I was paying card, because that's what the contract said. The men decided to move slowly again with unpacking.
Then once everything was taken off the truck, I was presented with a quote for 10 hours, when it was only 9 hours that they were there.
I was charged extra for GST and extra for a "service fee" of 10%. When I rang up to ask a question about the fees, and to provide direct feedback, I never got a call back.

The second star was only granted because of how quickly we were able to get the removalists with only a week to relocate our house.

The fact that we have been left without most of our kitchen items, including microwave, kettle, plates, cutlery, crockery - to name a few items, and that we also had the removal men say "there's a lot left at the old place, call me if you want us to move it for you and we won't charge you an hourly rate", just felt incredibly wrong.

I'll never be recommending Movee to anyone. I was utterly disappointed for the "service" provided, and I would advise everyone to reconsider using this company.

Terrible, very unprofessional.

Terrible.took 3.5 hours and charged me almost $800 to move 1 bed, 2 desks and a couple boxes. Super dodgey postponed a week so I had to delay my move in by 1 week then rocked up over an hour late when they finally showed up. Would NOT reccomend. Also ran over my dad's sprinkler.

This a very dodgy and unscrupulous…

This a very dodgy and unscrupulous company. Booked them and paid deposit. Had to cancel and rebook. The day before the scheduled move they sent an SMS asking to confirm the move which I did. Same afternoon, they sent a cancellation text. Contacted them and they said they would reschedule. When I finished speaking to representative, he failed to hang up and he was talking to another person. Substance of the call was that they wouldn't be able to complete the move and would need to make an excuse. They subsequently sent an email saying it had been allocated to Major Quality Pty Ltd. Checked this company and they'd only registered as a company in July 2022. Stated they would arrive between 1pm and 3pm. Around 2pm on the day of the move they rang and cancelled. I told them that I had to do the move that day and we had a fairly unpleasant conversation about their lack of service and transparency. Unbelievably, after being told that I had to move that day, three people rang back asking if I would reschedule resulting in some further unpleasant conversations. STEER WELL CLEAR. Absolute scammers. If I could have given negative stars I would have.
