It was easy to submit my artwork for an appraisal and have MutualArt recommend an auction firm to work with. Very good communication via email. Began on Dec 17th 2025 and have updates regularly.

Not exactly what I expected. So far (for me) the "search" possibilities seem limited. I collect antique JAPANESE bamboo baskets and I can't find a way to search for them other than by Artist Name........... which is extremely cumbersome to do. Are there ways to search other than by artist?
Thank You

I look at the site everyday to follow my list of selected artists.
I dont buy art until I check MutualArt for similar works or works that I'm interested in that may have sold previously. Interesting to see gallery to gallery sales and the uplifts applied.
The site is good! A bit of a challenge to use on my phone. Easier on my tablet or desktop.

If you select artists to follow, Mutual Art only provides info on those artists post auction. They need to provide info before for the auction occurs

I was very happy with the positive response to the artwork I submitted, Michael F Brien, 'Mangroves with Irrigation Channels', 2008, and the way it was then chosen for presentation for the New Year Sale given the festive mood which Michael would have loved.
Michael passed away in April 2021. I had sent an email to you about this but it hasn't been included next to his name online.
What also is the very fine detail of your of zoom feature. It is very apt for Michael and is one of the first things I noticed about him, being his love of putting something of amusement, meaning or clue in a tiny format - that is his mark and goes to the very core of his character and ethnicity.
The experience has lead to my researching and discovering more about Michael's perhaps foretelling an event of the drying up of Mangrove swamps and finding out about the 2015 mass extinction in the Gulf of Carpentaria and the unprecedented likelihood of it not recovering . I had not heard of this nor about Mangrove dieback. He was so concerned about the environment and climate change yet always shows positivity mainly in the form of a solution or original idea.
Thank you for putting his work here on show.
Best,
Roseanne

Telling me when art works are being sold. What is not so good is to have to pay for more information.

It’s okay. Art sales especially at fairs and such are very private naturally so you’re still not gonna get an even remotely full picture of the artist and art in front of you. Even the art listed at major art fairs which is publicly available info is not present on the site regardless of price
or sales.

Easy to use. Many artists listed. Easy to consult works on sale thanks to the pictures in the alert mails. Very reactive customer service.
Improvable: sometimes the links from the picture to the sale information do not work (rare times, but more often than one would expect). The underlying system obviously uses AI, as in some exceptional cases the works presented are absurd and/or are not by the artist referenced.

I received many different offers and the staff was very committed to both matching and negotiating the best terms.

Roni was hands on from the get go when I listed my painting. He got me in touch with an auction house pretty quickly and stayed in touch with everyone involved ensuring all communication happened without any delays.
It has been a great experience. thank you!

Pictures regularly do not show automatically on the page.
They need to be opened one by one.
