Didn't even want to click 1 star, I've bought twice because maybe the first one was defective. But a complete scam and unable to get in touch with anyone at customer service

SUPPORT: We can't help you

The Customer Service of Oracle is the absolute worst I've ever experienced. I could not create my account because their verification system s*cks and only because of their system's fault, I've had no issues elsewhere. When I wrote to support to help me resolve this issue and help me create this account their response was "Unfortunately, we are unable to resolve this or process the transaction. This is all the information we can provide." LIKE WTH. What answer and resolution is that? Do customer service agents in Oracle smoke weed? What are they paid for? To answer the inquiries NO CAN'T DO PAL!? Translated they basically said: F*** off. So I did and I won't use Oracle Cloud Services, or any products of theirs ever again. I would rather use AWS, Azure or smh, even Alibaba Cloud, but not Oracle because this company disgusts me.

Account just got locked down for no reason

I signed for the free tier and it said it is ALWAYS free... I had 7 days remaining in my free tier and just 2 hours ago i received an email, telling me my free tier expired and i do not have access to any services anymore. It just says my tenancy is inactive! I can't even manage my payment details or delete my account. Worst service ever.

Really good

I have been using Oracle Cloud services for two months now and I have been really satisfied with the service. Powerful Virtual machine instances and fast support. Managing networks, virtual machines, etc. is straightforward in the Oracle Cloud interface.

Total waste of time

Total waste of time. The free tier seems a good deal but is never available. Terrible website with login problems, pasword resets, blocked account and no support.

Hopeless IT support

I downloaded their software as a trial version. It did not load properly, so I called the IT people. The person I dealt with explained that I could not access IT support with a trial version. I pointed out that Oracle was not going to land a potentially lucrative contract from a major UK university unless I could access the software for evaluation. I was directed to consult a user forum. When I protested, he said he would ring back. He never did. Frankly, the support offered by Oracle was completely inappropriate and short-sighted. Oracle needs to recognise that there are other providers.

You would be lucky to get literally 2%…

You would be lucky to get literally 2% of your Service Request resolved from so-called Oracle Support. They're always referring you to get your answers for your issue on the oracle community sites when we're paying Oracle themselves for support each month. In other words, we have to get the resolutions from each of us paying customers of Oracle Support. This is absolutely ridiculous!! Oracle Support is literally garbage and a complete joke. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to use Oracle if all possible!!

SKEWED PRIORITIES

We just learned that Oracle told it's employees there would be no raises this year (I am related to one of them). They did however spend $500 million on a Formula One racecar. We suggest that the company concentrate on supporting its employees, and product and customer service improvement to remain viable in the marketplace as it is no longer officially listed among the 7 giant tech companies.

A Cautionary Tale of Oracle's Always Free Tier

As an entrepreneur keen on cutting costs without compromising quality, I was drawn to Oracle's Always Free tier, expecting the reliability and excellence synonymous with a "premium" server company. Unfortunately, my experience fell drastically short of expectations. Despite my anticipation of a robust service, the entire system unexpectedly went offline without warning, jeopardizing my startup's operations and causing a tangible loss.

The most alarming issue was the complete disappearance of service without notification, leading to a critical sync failure in my database and rendering my site inoperable. This downtime not only impacted our customer access but also resulted in financial losses, albeit small, significantly affecting our small business's growth trajectory.

Compounding the problem was the lack of support from Oracle when it mattered most. In my time of need, customer support was conspicuously absent, leaving me to navigate the crisis without assistance. This lack of support during a critical time was both disappointing and eye-opening.

In conclusion, based on my harrowing experience with Oracle's Always Free tier, I cannot in good conscience recommend it as a secure or reliable solution for data storage or server operations. For those considering Oracle for their business needs, I urge caution and recommend exploring alternatives that offer not just cost savings but also reliability and responsive support.

Stay away or only use for stuff you don't care about

Oracle is an extremely unreliable and terrible hosting provider, I would not reccomend using them to store anything that you care about at all. Or if you do please keep backups on other hosting providers.

I started using oracle cloud early 2022 and had a great experience for about 6 months, I loved the service and had almost no issues when using it. When suddendly without ANY warning they terminate my account with not even just an email telling me "Your account has been terminated, we cannot tell you why due to security concerns"

Nope, they just completely ghost me and I can't do anything about it because you need an active oracle cloud account to use the support center and make a ticket. To make it even worse I can't even delete my oracle cloud account so all of my personal information is just stored in oracle's servers indefinitely

I also ignored the reviews of this website and had a great experience for about 6 months, but please backup your stuff if your gonna use oracle cloud its pretty much a requirement at this point your account could get randomly terminated at any time
