We expect a service platform to…

We expect a service platform to prioritize humanity and integrity, yet encountering one devoid of these values, and sharing false news on its homepage is deeply disappointing. The service provided is subpar, rendering the platform utterly unsatisfactory.

ORACLE with dubious practices

ORACLE bombarded me with spam emails. I telephoned their customer service and the spam emails stopped. Now the spam emails have started again! I selected "unsubscribe" on the spam email and the homepage opened up, no pop up to unsubscribe. An unprofessional company with dubious practices

Pathetic company and cloud services

I had a cloud account with them and had 4 VMs with them all of them running production services and very critical data. And, on Monday (06 November 2023) I came to know all of my servers were down and when I logged into my account, it was saying your account was suspended please contact Oracle support. When I called them, they opened a service request/ticket and today they closed my ticket without taking my input and said we have reviewed your account and it would remain closed, the decision is final. All of my production services and all data are lost.

Please bear in mind, that it was not a free-tier account, it was a pay-as-you-go account.
I have also attached their last email in which they closed my ticket. And service request number can also be seen for verification.

Thank you for reading and if you care for your data and need reliability and uptime, please stay away from this "BIG Company"

Unresponsive Support and Critical Registration Issue

I am extremely disappointed with Oracle Cloud's support. I have been facing a critical registration issue, preventing me from accessing their services. Despite multiple attempts to seek assistance, I have not received any response. This lack of responsiveness and failure to address the problem is unacceptable. As a result, I cannot recommend any Oracle service until this issue is resolved promptly and effectively.

Machine deleted

We claimed free tier machine (for the first free 300$) and later on we wanted to pay for it, because we knew 300$ isn't enough for us. Everything was fine for a few days, when one morning our account has been suspended and machine deleted. Waste of time, we lost all files and we didnt do any backups because we thought nothing will happen in the first days. This host is the world hosting We could ever imagine. I would rather pay for cloud/azure/aws

Literally the worst

Its amazing how bad this host is. I've worked with a lot of hosts in my time as a developer but this is by far the worst. I recommend literally any other service, the free tier is the worst hook ever and you will never get a free VM because they're never available, and when they are it'll get deleted anyways. This whole experience has been such a waste of time that it cost more than just buying a proper x64 VM from any OTHER host.

Ridiculous customer service

Ridiculous customer service. Everything in sign up seems to go as planned, even credit card registration, but then something goes wrong on Oracle's side. The error code instructs users to contact customer support, and this is their reply:
"Hello,

Unfortunately, we are unable to resolve this or process the transaction. This is all the information we can provide.

Regards,
Customer Service Agent"
The incident was further marked as "Solved".
(Incident: 230525-000789)

... This is in a trial for potential paying customers who show interest in their services. Sales are knocking on our doors and having huge sales events to lure customers in, customer service is kicking them out. Ingenious company!

You can decide for yourself, but in my case: Oracle is so far out of contention for our new corporate Data Stack setup I was investigating for. Not even gonna bother their Sales Manager - I'll just ignore him like they ignore me.

This POS decision was a terrible…

This POS decision was a terrible mistake. After using MICROS 3700 we decided to move to Oracle simphony Period after 1 to 2 years of implementation we have pulled all equipment and are switching to a competitor. This is not a true cloud base solution. They have integrated a cloud solution with much of the backbone of Oracle EMC, which is just an application integration is done, poorly and consistently. We’re having significant errors that Oracle just recognizes and does not fix. Customer support is poor.

Can't login into cloud anymore, Account deleted?!

Today i wanted to login to OCI as always but i get the error "NotAuthenticated". All of my server are offline/i can not reach them via ssh. THERE WAS NO NOTIFICATION BEFOREHAND, ALL MY DATA ON THE SERVERS seem to be LOST.
There's NO SUPPORT because my account does not exist anymore and they want that i create a new account with upgraded plan!
I therefore will not use OCI anymore and can not recommend you to use it. There are plenty of alternatives, AWS, Google etc. that don't delete your account without any notification! Luckily my application wasn't live yet and i made some old backups.
Will switch to one of the renowned Cloud providers to host my application.

Oracle Cloud will delete your Always Free tier without notice

Oracle's Cloud service appears to offer a wonderful solution that's supposedly completely free. An Ampere configuration with 4 cores and 24GB of RAM, within which you can create up to four Instances.

There's a catch. Oracle can and often do delete these instances with zero notice, whether you upgrade to a paid account or not. Your data will be gone and their response will be ridiculous ("The system terminated your instance and we can't restore or recover it"), right before they terminate the live chat and leave you wondering why they even advertise the Always Free service.

They'll even say "Resources identified as Always Free will not be reclaimed". That's a lie. They don't care about you if you're not paying them actual money.

They even have blogs extolling the virtues of their Always Free offering for various purposes like CRMs or Minecraft servers. Don't believe any of it. You will lose your data at some point. Just search Oracle's cloud community forums or reddit for all the horror stories from many many people who have shared the same fate.

Oracle are only interested in money, and their supposedly free offering is deceptive. They are not going to assist you in any way, or view you as anything but disposable, unless you're paying through the nose for the privilege of their great wisdom.

I will never buy, recommend or use any Oracle product in the future.

I got screwed over too.

Today, I received the message: "Thank you for using Oracle Cloud Services. Your (Cloud Account: _____) terminated on [blank]. However, it would be a pleasure to serve you in the near future. We can be reached at ..." This was a few weeks after I had received a vague email about the status of the account. There was no indication as to what their criteria was to keep the account active. I regularly logged in and separately accessed the site through a browser.
All along, it seemed that this "free tier" was very, very shaky and just a come-on to drive people to their paid features. You are required to give a credit card to get the "free" service. Then, the control panel is extremely confusing and I could never get things to work right. This is in contrast to other website managers I have used which are vastly more straightforward. Their cancellation of my account is, in retrospect, an act of mercy.

The worst cloud service

As a lot of people here I signed up for the Oracle Cloud free tier. You get a 1 month trial and after that it becomes free with a catch, they will shutdown your VM every week and if you don't turn it on they will terminate it forever without the option to let you recover your data. They will not send you any king of alert about that, just delete and F* you because you only can open a ticket or chat with someone if you pay for the service. That's the worst service I ever got. I must say that I used the paid service and deployed a lot of stuff in the past because the company I used to work for is a Oracle partner. Oracle's cloud service is the worst one available, you will face all kinds of issues specially with authentication and networking. Take your business to the 3 major and more professional cloud services available (AWS, GCP or Azure).

CHEATING WAY OF ADVERTISE THEIR SERVICE TO GET YOUR BANK DETAILS

I subscribed and introduced my debit card details as it was advertised in the home page that i could have used a 4 cpu 24gb ram virtual machine FOR FREE. That instead it was not possible when i signed in, just a 1 cpu 1 gb vm was available: useless for me. This communication is misleading and uncorrect, a cheating way of promoting their services. A firm like Oracle use these low level ways to get clients? What a shame for this company. When you loose a client you loose it for life and always he will talk about what uncorrect was Oracle advertising his cloud service.

I am praying to spare all companies…

I am praying to spare all companies from this service. This is the slowest system you will ever work on. It constantly kicks you out, has you doing a million in one things sometimes just to get it to do what you need to do. The processes to get things done are crazy and it does not pull any of the reports you need without you have to go through a major set up in order to do it. This is a complete waste of money and time. Spare your self the disappointment and regret.
