Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 94 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found the website and app to be useless, complicated, and poorly designed, making it difficult to access necessary services. Customers frequently encountered issues with logging in, including problems with password recognition, verification codes not arriving, and being repeatedly signed out of their accounts. The service often failed to provide essential functions, such as ordering repeat prescriptions, and many felt it hindered rather than helped patients, especially those needing life-sustaining medication. Some people also felt that the system was over-complicated with excessive security requirements, like authenticator apps, which were often unreliable and difficult to use, particularly for elderly or ill individuals. Additionally, some reviewers noted that the app would redirect them to external websites for private appointments instead of GP appointments, and that their health records or previous appointments were sometimes missing.

Unable to use

Been using for a few years and although not great it certainly was not bad until January 2025, it is so bad I have started using the NHS app. Uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing, contacted technical help twice but not even a decency to respond. I've now uninstalled it and won't be using it again.

Spam e mails

Started receiving e mails from this garbage company that I never even signed up to.
Difficult to unsubscribe from something I never subscribed to.
Typical trash of anything associated with the NHS

Not fit for purpose and complete waste of time and effort

At first it worked OK but since it's brought in the app identification it's so complicated it's ridiculous and I haven't managed to access my repeat prescription request once! When I had to change my password my antivirus software wouldn't let me access the link! How are older and less tech savvy people who would benefit most from not having to go to the GP for their repeat prescriptions supposed to use this? A complete waste of time.

Complete shambles

This app is useless
You get into a security spiral ( that is not needed)
Then you get locked out
In the time it takes you to get into the system you could have walked down to the surgery, or waited on the phone to get things done
Message the support centre and you get the corporate statement reply
All in all it's not fit for purpose

Absolutely dreadful. Doesn't deserve 1 star

Who the hell designed this piece of crap. It's totally useless. The registration was bad enough because you also need to download an authenticator app. Then you need to use this each time you sign in. Absolutely appalling, I feel sorry for anyone elderly trying to access this.

It doesn't deserve 1 star. I'd actually rate it -10 if it was possible.

The fact GP's want you to register on this to access and link your medical records to the NHS app, just shows how low the NHS service has sunk.

I would give this 0 stars if I could

I would give this 0 stars if I could. It is completely unusable. Endless codes sent that have you going round in circles but never being able to log in or access anything. It offers the chance to use nhs login instead but still then forces you to login to patient access anyway. Not fit for purpose at all. No medical centre should be asking patients to rely on this.

Abysmal - a total waste of time!

Abysmal! I am PC literate & always use online access to save time, but this Patient Access 'set up 'is truly appalling. Who on earth put this together? I can't believe someone actually designed this for real people!
It's useless. I can see I'm not the only one with this view!

Terrible system not working end up not see a doctor for months and go to hospital instead

I honestly find this system frustrating and confusing it does not work if you just need to book an appointment, it won’t work instead it send you to al, the private and expensive treatment! There is no more information about my health, all disappeared the secretary at my doctor told me I can used a button on the bottom of the page that I cannot see at all, my doctor surgery support to have their own website when I sign in it automatically send me to PATIENT ACCESS! What access really? if I need to see someone urgent I can only go to hospital such a waste of hospital time and really hard to navigate I have to call or go with my foot to the surgery to book an appointment! A disgrace

I got into a "doom loop" of security…

I got into a "doom loop" of security approvals, codes via mobile phone, codes via authenticator I had been forced to download and at the end of it details invalid. An absolutely awful experience and looking at the other reviews I am not alone. Who in the NHS has allowed this to happen to us?!!!!
This whole system is completely unfit for purpose, its not saving anyone time and should be scrapped with immediate effect. If this is what our increased taxes are paying for I despair of this country.
