Phoned me up claiming to be from three…
Phoned me up claiming to be from three mobile, asking me to confirm how much my contract was per month for data protection purposes. He let it slip he was wholesale EE supplier and nothing to do with three. I asked him to be honest and that he lied and couldn’t see my account or stat usage as claimed. I gave him the opportunity to admit that he was lying but he didn’t, he hung up instead. Don’t touch with a barge pole!

Constantly calling claiming to have my contract details, they clearly dont as the dates and tariff do not match.
Call claiming to be 02 and only when pressed admit they are just a third party wholesaler.
You block their calls only for them to ring on new numbers.

worst company ever!!!!!!
Handed a dodgy contract with insurance I didn't even know about. When my phone died they sent me three other handsets that were all broken before they even got to me. Claimed I damaged the third one and now I owe alot of money because of them. Stay away at all costs! Worst company I have ever dealt with.

Please avoid this company
They bought out my old phone company and each time I need to claim my cash back I have to phone them as they haven’t sorted the online claim form for me ( this has happened 3 times). I also get told different waiting times to receive my cash back, 3 months ago I had my money within 5 days, this time I have to wait 14 days. I can’t wait for my contract to end so I can cancel and move to a company that has a better customer service that actually actions what they say they will do, my advice is to avoid this company

Still no cash back from smartphone…
Still no cash back from smartphone company , which is now part of AO , I was told before Christmas 2020 by Chloe the person that has reply here on my previous review it would be in my account within 30 days .
I have sent three emails . No reply apart from the last one which said I would be contacted with in 24 hours that was a week ago.
I am now taking this further as a misrepresentation of goods . The company has not done what it has said it would do.

AO/The Smart Phone Co cashback
Since The Smart Phone Company was taken over by the AO group the cashback process has been absolutely horrendous. Four calls to customer service, numerous updates on my file and two months later, I am still waiting on my cashback claim. Lots of false promises leaves me thinking that this company are totally incompetent. Despite the latest call ending with promises of immediate payment, I then receive an email refusing my claim as it’s out with the period. Yes it’s out with the period because you’ve taken 2 months to process the claim!! Had I defaulted on a payment I’m guessing that the recovery process may have been somewhat quicker. Joke of a process, joke of a company. Avoid like COVID!
....and just to update that more than a week after posting this review, and despite the reply from customer services below, I still don’t have my cashback! That despite replying to customer services with my order number so they could look into it. 5th phone call to be made shortly to try and resolve the issue. Ironically, I’m now due the next cashback instalment so can’t wait to see how that goes. As I said, joke of a company, but where the joke is becoming very tiresome and not at all funny....stay tuned for further updates!!

Cashback Process Needs Simplifiying.
I have a 24-month contract with SPC (which is now owned by AO). I managed to get all my cashback except for the last one which I was told was claimed outside the period of the claim. I then made a formal complaint to the Head Office who have recently given me my final cashback. The cashback process is confusing and needs to be simplified eg notifications sent to the customer at the beginning of each cashback period. For the time being, I would advise cashback customers to ring SPC every few months to check on their cashback claim period.

Horrible company.
1 month now I'm trying to claim the cashback and while I can not do it online bacause it says error the agents are sending me emails to resubmit again and again through email as they can do it manually and now one month after the agent emailed me to tell me that they are unable to process the cash back as I have to do it only through the website.
Horrible customer service and generally a bad company to be dealing with.
Avoid!!!!!

Claim back scam
I have ordered twice with smartphone, the first was uneventful and worth it and a few years before.
The second has been nothing but a pain.
The first time I was given my full cashback amount with no fuss.
At some point obviously they decided to change it because spliting it across many months means people are more likely to forget and then they won't have to pay it back.
My contact runs out in a few months time and I have only been successful in claiming back from them once, so of the 250 odd pounds that you are promised I have seen 50 of it. I am looking in to my legal options.
Would not use smartphone again nor the company mobile direct which has bought them.
