I cannot recommend Richard enough! Before reaching out to him, I was on the verge of giving up on my mortgage journey. I had been told by another broker that I was a “hopeless case,” and I was starting to lose hope. But after reading all the glowing reviews about Richard’s dedication and expertise, I felt there might still be a glimmer of hope.

Desperate, I messaged him around 11 p.m., and to my surprise, he responded promptly via email. We had a detailed 30-minute conversation, during which he carefully reviewed all my details and reassured me that he would do his best. True to his word, the very next day, he secured a Decision in Principle (DIP), which I promptly sent to the mortgage advisor for my housing association. Despite initial reluctance from the advisor to sign off on my affordability, Richard’s professionalism and persistence made all the difference.

Two weeks after our first conversation, I am thrilled to say I now have a mortgage offer! We are just awaiting completion, and it still feels surreal, after feeling hopeless, I am now so close to moving into our new home. It’s been an emotional journey, and Richard’s patience, dedication, and unwavering support truly went above and beyond.

A special coincidence is that I’m aiming to move before my daughter’s birthday, which, wonderfully, happens to be Richard’s birthday too! My situation trying to ascertain a mortgage was so complex. I had status 6 mortgage arrears following a marital breakdown and a single mother of 2, left with only a small deposit. From our first conversation with Luke, everything changed. As first-time buyers, we needed guidance, and Luke provided exactly that clearly, patiently, and professionally. He found us a lender almost immediately, which was a surprise given the other broker had told us we wouldn’t be able to get a mortgage at all. The very next day, we had a mortgage in principle.
