I ordered an Ortofon 2M red with an SH-4 headshell...but all I recv'd was a headshell. when I phoned to complain, the customer service was very abrupt and curt. the replacement item was shipped by USPS media Mail (very slow). I will never order from SOundStage again. I could've ordered the exact same item from Amazon.com for less $$$ but I wanted to support this business. That was my mistake; I should'v ordered from Amazon.

Really don't have any major issues, except that processing time is a little long. Wish it could be sped up by a few days.

Soundstage is a great place to buy vinyl. They have hundreds of artist and many are available in Audiophile pressings. Prices are standard. Packaging for shipment is awesome. My only issue is that after you make a purchase and after it is packed for shipment the shipment takes for freaking ever to arrive. I have NEVER waited for less than two weeks EVEN on items they say "Normally Ships in 2 to 4 business days". I thought the Pony Express went out of business in the 1800's but I am now convinced that Soundstagedirect resurrected them for vinyl delivery.

I have bought about 4-5 LPs without any problems whatsoever. Fast delivery and excellent packaging.

Only area for improvement is shipping speed

Both of my orders took longer to arrive than stated on the web site- "usually ships in 2-4 days" wtih a strong emphasis on "usually". This in and of itself would have been OK by me if SoundStage Direct had responded to my numerous emails inquiring about my order. I finally got a hold of someone thru the instant chat feature and they claimed they sent an email in response to my latest inquiry (keep in mind I sent three separate emails)- but I checked my inbox, my spam folder and my trash folder and they hadn't sent anything. So the fact that they actually lied to me instead of just apologizing for not responding was even worse. After weeks of waiting for my records and then having the online chat, both of my orders miraculousy showed up at virtually the same time, even though I had placed the orders about a week apart. They don't have great customer service, they're not responsive to inquiries. I won't buy from them again.

Your product is good - no complaints there ... but the elapsed time between order being placed and order delivered is HORRIBLE !!
Compared to other on-line order houses in today's market your turn-around service is really bad.

As always their albums arrive quickly and in factory mint condition.

Everything went smooth and satisfactory. I really like the option, to ship the records outside of the cover, excellent secure packed!! Unfortunately just a very few shops provide this great service.

After my order was placed,their web site claimed shipping in 2-4 business days. My order took 8 business days to ship. I sent an email on day 6 to ask if there was some sort of issue with the order. I received a response on day 8,to notify me that my order had shipped. Chances are,I will not order from soundstagedirect again. There are many online reatailers offering similar prices,free shipping,and faster shipping. This may be a rare occurance,however it is enough to make me purchace elsewhere.

Record came as promised and was in perfect condition. I will definitely use this company again!

I have been dealing with them for several years,and the thing I like about them the most is the fact that when they make a mistake,in shipping,or whatever,they always make up for it in ways far above any other dealers.
