Dear Customer,

We are aware of the problems with entry at the The Mayor of London’s Fireworks show.

We apologise greatly for any inconvenience caused, and know this is a special occasion for all those attending.

Approximately 15% of orders were denied entry, being told their tickets were fake, despite having valid tickets supplied from Ticketmaster. Stewards were actively targeting any tickets not purchased directly from Ticketmaster, stating tickets must be on the Ticketmaster app.

However, the vast majority of TicketApt customers gained access to the event with the ticket links provided.

We will be in touch in the next 48 hours with all customers who were denied entry to discuss compensation.

scam

Bought 5 tickets to see the fireworks in London for NYE. Was concerned that they tickets were going to be transferred via ticket master but then came through as a link that you “could only open once” so we didn’t know until we were there at the gate that the tickets were fake. Totally scammed us. Do not use!

Update: following this reply and two emails sent, at no point did APT tickets contact me to issue compensation or a refund. Successfully opened a claim through the bank for the scam and received a refund but still very disappointed that the company didn’t resolve any of the issues and utterly disappointed that we didn’t the receive the NYE celebration we paid for

I bought 2 tickets for New Years Eve…

I bought 2 tickets for New Years Eve fireworks, and when I arrived there, staff members told me that my tickets were invalid because they were fake. I want my money back.

Update 7th of January. Nobody has been tried to reach me. I’ve got the same e-mail, like the message they’ve just posted here. I think I will have to call the police for that.

31/01/2025 EDIT:

The company told me that in 10-14 working days, I will receive my money back, which didn't happened. Now, thy don't answered my e-mails.

Please, stay away from them.

This is the email, that they've written to me on 8th of January 2025:
"Good Morning,

Firstly, we appreciate your patience regarding the Mayor Of London's New Year's Eve Fireworks show. We know this has been a very distressing period for many.

We have conducted a thorough investigation to establish why the problems occurred for many customers upon entering the designated zones.

We must state again, that all tickets provided on TicketApt were legitimately bought and sold from Ticketmaster. TicketApt has been providing tickets for major events for a number of years, and would never provide fake or illegitimate tickets.

What we know now is stewards were informed to deny entry to anyone who has not purchase directly from Ticketmaster. Meaning customers who had paid for legitimate tickets were denied entry. Stewards were told to not even scan the tickets, because they would have indeed been validated. Gates were also closed earlier than scheduled due to poor planning from event organisators- something completely out of TicketApts control. It appears the mobile tickets bought directly from Ticketmaster were changed very close to the event, to match the colour of the zone. This was done after TicketApt customer had received their tickets, and to allow stewards to spot Ticketmaster customers over other websites.

We are extremely disappointed with how the event was managed, with no communication to TicketApt on any issues arising on the night, and then having to hear it first hand from our unhappy customers. Therefore giving us no time or viable solution to help.

Although these circumstances were unprecedented and out of our control, as your Ticket provider we take responsibility for the problems that arose and apologise deeply. We recognise what an occasion this was for many, and can only imagine how disappointed and angry you felt.

Following our investigation into all orders. We can confirm that all tickets which weren’t scanned on new year’s eve have now been refunded. Refunds will reach customers in 10-14 days to the card used to purchase.

We apologise again for the inconvenience you have experienced."

NYE 2024

The company should be clear that these are resale tickets. I attended the NYE 2024 London.

The tickets arrived as a link which could be only opened once. We had to use WiFi to open it as it was blocked when using phone network.

The staff at the event were turning people with these links back. However, we persisted and had it checked from the machine and thankfully the link worked.

We bought two tickets for 260. It should not be more than 80 pounds. This wasn't unfortunately clear on the site that they are reselling the tickets at inflated prices. We could had just bought real ticket master app tickets.
