annoyed
instead of getting 4 hours and 05 minutes right i had to put 4 hours and 5 minutes useless
shambles
ret arded ai means half the questions you get right are marked as wrong
nice art, but everything else...
The website has a nice logo, but other than that the whole thing is a shambles. Videos don't always help you out, you cannot repeat the work, and their virtual compasses, rulers, pencils and protractors are difficult to use, as there is no help video. My school switched to this from Mangahigh, and I really don't know why they did it. I would rather carry on with Mymaths or Mangahigh than this.
The sight itself is great but the…
The sight itself is great but the videos are really ambiguous sometimes and numbers in an answer aren't explained, when doing my work I watched the videos and couldn't understand and was confused even more the video made it worse
Horrible
Horrible. Just horrible. The answers are not even right or even close. Bad tutorials and the virtual tools are unreliable making your work bad and complete crap.
Excellent love it
Excellent love it. Lots of videos the lady in the videos is brilliant, she clearly explains things so you can understand. They then give you some questions to answer to show that you have understood the teaching video. This site is really helping me with my maths GCSE 😁 Would highly recommend!
I HATE THIS SITE SOOOOOO MUCH!
This website is really bad. The woman in the video speaks to you as if you are a 4 year old. It constantly tells me there is no intenet connection even though there is a really strong one. The questions are very badly worded. The video examples are often much easier than the actual questions. The answers you write are often marked as wrong even though checking them on Google (or whichever search engine you prefer to use) actually reveals them to be correct. The multiple choice questions can only be attempted ONCE. And finally, there is no feedback telling you where you went wrong. This means you cannot revise effectively (or at all).
I DO NOT recommend this website to ANYONE. If you are thinking of using it for the first time, DON'T. Don't even go near it. Use GCSEPod, BBC Bitesize, SAM Learning or MyMaths instead. Tell everyone you know: DON'T use MathsWatch because it's TOTAL RUBBISH.
I HATE THIS SITE SOOOOOO MUCH!
Hate You MathsWatch
it is honestly so annoying, my school uses MathsWatch and it is so annoying, i don't get why they won't let us attempt again when we get the multiple choice questions wrong, they should at least tell us what went wrong and i hate hate HATE when Maths Watch corrects an answer as wrong but when i check the answers on websites like Brainly the answer that i put is right so i don't understand, it really doesn't help me in my maths and i really wish they change Maths Watch to something else soon. I hate you Maths Watch.
USELESS AF
Mathswatch is absolutely horrible especially with this dumb new update, I can't go back on past questions to test myself because it becomes locked and you can only attempt multiple choice questions once like what the actual hell. The tutorial woman gives easy examples like what is 2 + 2 but when it comes to the questions they're like ' if sam was driving at a speed of 20 calculate the distance of the sun from the ocean. it literally doesn't give u a second chance which ruins the whole learning experience and if I don't get the answers right ], there's no way of knowing so I will forever no know the answer. What a useless website
this is TRASH
this is TRASH
when the answers are right it always says they are wrong and it really annoys me so yeh
What were the developers and Ken Miles smoking?
Absolutely horrible. I don't know what the developers for Mathswatch were smoking but it's bad.
Half the time, my answers are wrong because of some stupid technicality and the multiple choice questions are badly worded. In fact, ALL of the questions are badly worded. I don't know why they can't just use plain modern English like the rest of us.
It's like they pulled out their old Great Great Great Great (you know where I'm going with this) Great Great Grandmother's Dictionary and just pulled out words from there.
For example, there was a question where it was multiple choice (which are the worst kinds of questions on Mathswatch, surprisingly) and it said "Which of these can be written as an exact answer without the square root symbol?" and there were a bunch of numbers that were square rooted. Now, first, they didn't specify if there was more than one answer and, second, because they said "EXACT", it seemed like the answer had to be a whole number. Well, GUESS WHAT, dear reader, (or Mathswatch developer, hopefully) decimal answers were also counted as, and I quote, "EXACT" answers.
You know the worst part though... I COULDN'T EVEN CORRECT IT! WHAT?! Look, I know that they don't want people to cheat the system and just do trial and error but seriously? Why can't we correct our answers???!!!
One solution to meet both needs is limiting the amounts a multiple choice question can be answered but I guess the developers have plungers for ears because they're filled with absolute (fill in with whatever you want)
So, in the end, don't use Mathswatch and if your school is planning to buy Mathswatch. Just tell them to use that money for actual useful things and by that I mean anything else. To be honest, telling your school to just pay for more pencils or buy better textbooks or, heck, paying the teachers more because they DESERVE it; they're the real MVP's but Mathswatch? I spit on their company and all that they represent.
It's slow, has badly worded questions and gives you anxiety, PTSD and various other conditions whenever you encounter the multiple choice questions that they pulled straight out of Hell itself. Now, that's all folks!
To Mathswatch, when I die, I'll see you and your pothead creator (Ken Miles) in Hell.
Disgusting >:(
i absolutely hate this garbage! like other people have mentioned, it makes correct answers incorrect and most of the questions make no sense which makes you feel stressed and anxious. i used to have this for homework we would do in school but now we have Hegarty maths which is just as bad. the videos make complete no sense and help you not in the slightest. and the woman`s voice is just is really annoying and makes you mad. do not recommend.
Absolutely horrible! :(
Absolutely horrible! It constantly marks questions that are right wrong and I've been having a meltdown for the past hour over maths because it makes no sense 'Write 98 as the, product of prime factors in ascending order' so i worked it out as 2×7×7 and it kept saying incorrect i tried a few other ways but still incorrect and I can't see the logic. I watched a video to help but they only show the unrealistic easy questions that are never actually on the homework or at least not past question three. I even looked on YouTube and they had my answer these are by EXPERTS and Adults same from all over the web. So either were all crazy or theres something wrong. Plus mutiple choice questions can't be redone.... How am I supposed to even learn?!!! If this, website shut down it would be the happiest day of my life smh I'm actually 12 and having metal brealdowns thanks to you!!!! At least make ypur questions make sense!!!
Yep, me again.
Hi peeps, I am back again after a couple of months to see if this site is finally deleted. Well, it really isn't. I probably, well not probably, but I actually don't even need to say how scuffed this website is. Like, if you want a website but don't know how to set it up don't try it. Anyways, I hope there will be more people that hate this so we can take the whole site down.
13 reasons why...
This website would be good with some adjustments but... First of all, it takes ages to load and i know it is not my internet because i have 5 bars.I submit an answer and it marks it 10 minutes later. Sometimes it doesn't mark it at all. IT IS REALLY ANNOYING!!!!!! Now i understand the name 'MathsWatch' Second of all, the videos barely help. They help with the questions about 1 in 5 times. The questions are normally harder than what it explanation the video. Also, in the long answer questions, if you don't type minus spacing. you loose your marks which i think is stupid because it is unrealistic for everyone to put in the right spacing. Furthermore, when you complete a question and you go back to it, it does not show you what you have done and therefore you can not revise successfully. Also, when you get a question wrong, it does not tell you what you did wrong and how you can improve which doesn't teach us anything but makes us sit in front of a computer all day trying to figure out what we got wrong only to realise that it was just an extra full stop. And don't get me started on the multiple choice questions. We only have one chance and it ruins a whole test because we had one chance. we should have at least two guesses. And if you get only part a or b wrong in a question it shows it as if you have got the whole question wrong. sometimes when a window is open and you try and go back in to Maths-watch, logging in is very difficult and sometimes your work EVEN gets DELETED!At the begging on of a question, it doesn't tell us how many marks it is worth and especially for long answers we do not know how much explanation is efficient, taking us even longer to complete. In questions where you have to complete table questions, if you get one box (answer) wrong, it sometimes marks the whole thing as wrong and therefore you do not know what you have done! On the maths videos, when it says 'pause and have a go' it brings up the answers straight away and doesn't give us enough time to pause therefore ruining our learning. What is up with that! And that name. SERIOUSLY what is that, the 'MATHS' yeah but the 'WATCH' what?Lastly, if you send a comment back to your teacher in response to theirs, you can not delete it so if you did it for the wrong question, you would look stupid! AND WHEN THE INTERNET IS BAD, 'CANNOT READ PROPERTY GET OF NUL' WHAT IS THAT, NOW THE NOTIFICATIONS ARE TURNING INTO GIBBERISH JUST LIKE THE NAME!
Thanks
Loading times and answers
Almost everyday I have to go on mathswatch and almost every time it would take about 5 minutes to load, and when it does load, every time I submit an answer it wouldn’t connect to the server. A lot of the answers I’m typing down are right but because it’s not exactly what mathswatch wants it says it’s wrong, for example, I wrote 7 down in a question with decimals because the only decimals in the answer were zeros but when I submit it would say try again, I put 7.0, still wrong but as soon as I put 7.00 it works. Please add multiple correct answers and make stronger servers.
not competent.
it constantly has errors and will mark my correct questions as wrong people in the videos talk like you are five and at half a word per second. trying to use this in lockdown has been challenging and a hindrance. the questions are also written poorly as they don't specify enough what i'm supposed to do.
it constantly has glitches and errors
it constantly has glitches and errors, ans why the hell can do you have one chance to answer multiple choice questions. this is by far the WORST website i have ever seen in my life, i tried using it on my phone. bad. i tried using it on my PC. bad. you cant blame WiFi for this because its sill annoying when used in school i will pay all my money if there honest and say mathswatch is a really good and reliable app
instead of fixing this website delete it. hundreds of schools are using this app thinking its good when they never really used it.
this website is ruining peoples days
so so bad
so so bad does not give you the tools you need and it is slow the people in the videos talk to like you are 5 and coordinates that are right say it is wrong which is a load of trash
