very rubbish
very rubbish,The answers have to be extremely precise. the the video barely gives you any important information and any important information is hidden and embedded in useless information. if you get an answer wrong, it doesn't tell you where you have gone wrong. the female narrators voice is extremely loud and annoying. the software rarely works. very cheaply made don't recommend
absolutely rubbish
A lot of the questions don't make sense and aren't very clear and for some of them you have to put a very precise answer for it to say it is correct. as well as this the drawing on it is appalling. there is no eraser so you have to undo everything and it is really hard to use and get the lines where you want them. then when you finally get it there if you are a quarter of a millimetre to the left or something it says it i all wrong an you have to do it all again. on the multiple choice questions for some reason when you select one of them another highlights as well so you get it wrong and you cant attempt it again even though it isn't your fault.
Not fit for purpose
Trying to help my son do his homework during lockdown, I have had the misfortune of experiencing Maths Watch.
I got very nostalgic between the periods of frustration as it reminded me of dial up sites during the 90s.
Submitting the correct answers takes you on to the next question if you are lucky and were patient enough to wait while the spinning progress wheel of doom that slowly saps your life away.
Despite every other wifi device in the house working perfectly, Maths Watch told me there was a fault with my internet connection.
We tried a number of different platforms and devices to make sure it wasnt us.
Some questions are two part, where a) is the answer and b) asks for an explanation. Despite explaining the answer in many different ways, we were told we were wrong.
I wouldnt have believed that kids are expected to use this tool had I not witnessed it myself.
Truly dreadful
Truly dreadful. I work in technical training and in my professional opinion this software is not fit for purpose. Sadly, my son's school uses this and it doesn't test children's maths abilities, it just checks how well they can work out how to use the software. It is not user friendly and does not give feedback see where you have gone wrong. We spent ages trying to answer some, fairly simple, questions on reflections and although the co-ordinates were correct it kept saying it was wrong. There was no indication why this was the case. Was this because we had used the pen and not the ruler? The question never specified.
If you really, really tried you could not make software more painful to use than this. Unless, perhaps, it was software which stuck red hot needles in your eyes.
This website needs to be reviewed
Hi it’s me again I am still pretty annoyed with the trash that is mathswatch I am warning you that if you use this website it will not help and it is nowhere near as good as bitesize or Corbett maths I hope you review your website because I would like to see a lot of change and a 4 1/2 star rating is way to generous a 1 would be more like it
Decent resource
Not the best maths revision website out there but is better than Bitesize and MyMaths for a fraction of the price of the latter.
