Cancellations
I've been working for Amber Arch for over 4 years. In most respects they are an excellent agency, however the application and allocation of jobs is demotivating. This week I applied for 5 jobs. Only one of which was allocated to me. Then that job got cancelked the morning of the assignment. Its not uncommon for over half of the assigned jobs to be cancelled on the morning.
Please improve.

The type of job you are referring to, work that way unfortunately. We would love to be able to only put jobs on the jobs board that are actually going ahead but we have no idea until the morning of the visit. So sorry and we wish we could improve! Be prepared to do the work and not be reimbursed
I was instructed to prioritise a visit urgently, and when availability opened up the day before, I dedicated around TWO PLUS hours to its completion, including the report. However, upon submission, I was informed that the report couldn't be utilised, rendering the effort and time expended futile. This experience amounted to a significant waste of resources and I would avoid this company and look to others on the market.

Thank you for your review. We did ask for the visit to be completed as a priority that is quite correct and we really did appreciate your assistance with this. However, we made you aware that your visit must not coincide with visits from other shoppers to this location. Your visit was booked on a free day, however, without checking with us, you changed it to visit on day when another shopper had already booked in. As a result we could not use your visit, very unfortunate and totally avoidable.
Very friendly and helpful
I've carried out work for Amber Arch going back to 2018 with over 100 assignments under my belt. I've had no issues and have always found the team in the office to be extremely helpful. Assignment guidelines have been clear and payment has always been prompt. I continue to work for them today and will be continuing to do so as it is such a good experience.

I have worked with Amber Arch for a long time and can recommend them highly as a very good employer. Their standards are high but they are clear in what they expect with the reports and always at hand to answer any questions. The work is varied and interesting and the flexibility fits in well with my lifestyle. Payments are on time and fair for what is expected. Wast time and money
Wast time and money. They pay you £15 but they make you work for £50. On average, you spent 3 hours writing a report and on top of that they keep harassing you with email with silly questions trying to find anything wrong so they don't pay you.

Hi, I’m afraid this isn't the case. These assignments take up to 20 min in store and around 20-25 min to write up, so under an hour in total - I completed a write up in 10 minutes only last week but obviously I'm familiar with the forms, so it is likely to take you a few minutes longer. However, I have absolutely no idea how it could take you 3 hours for this report.
In the vast majority of cases we don't need to clarify details afterwards but if there is information missing (item descriptions for example) or bits of the story that don't make sense, we will always come back to you to give you the opportunity to rectify this. Unfortunately in this case the story wasn’t clear and when we asked questions, your response actually made it less clear so we did need to ask even more. You can always call to give us information over the phone if you prefer not to reply to emails however. I'm really disappointed you have chosen to name a staff member who has simply been trying to assist you in getting the reports to standard we require, so that we can use your reports and pay you promptly. Yes, we have high standards, our clients expect them but if you complete the reports with all the details we need, there shouldn’t be a need for lots of follow up.

Deeply unhelpful this lot. Twist facts to reject reports whilst no doubt retaining their fees. Steer clear. All other mystery firms are better.

Such a lovely company to work for. I apply for work as it suits me around my schedule, some months doing quite a bit of work and others less which is great. Any questions I have are answered quickly with help always available. I have always been paid correctly and in a good amount of time. So sorry that you feel that way about your recent interaction with us. We can recall speaking to you about your recent visits. Both visits you completed for us made no reference to the brief, which was Christmas gifts. We spoke to you, very pleasantly to ask to you fill in the detail about Christmas and instead of doing this, you confirmed you were happy with the reports without adding this information. We asked again but you did not comply. We are really surprised that you felt it unfair and unpleasant, when all we wanted to do was add in the detail about Christmas.

I really like this company fast payments straight into PayPal and have had no problems at all. Staff are always extremely helpful and responses are fast. Wish I found do more if I'm honest but my town is tiny. Hats off to them though fantastic work!!!

Helpful, efficient company

Excellent Company
I have worked for Amber Arch for over 5years and I've never had a problem. I find the staff to be really helpful and always available to deal with. The payment process is very clear & I've always been paid on time. I love working for Amber Arch and it just concerns me that some of these reviews are talking about US dollars & this is a British based company!
