software is easy to use, and reasonably priced

Good performance

I switched to Avast a couple of years ago because I felt like my previous software was getting intrusive. All was wonderful until this year; I'm noticing Avast is getting mire comprehemsive, but at the same time it's also starting to resemble the behavior of the other software.... intrusive and at times changing settings it has no business touching.

Although using a computer/Laptop, I am not computer literate, therefore talking every-day English helps a lot, & ensure computer talk is ditched.

Honestly, I don' like your strong pushy to buy your product

I have no problems with the Avast product and as I have alredy stated I happy with theproduct, and the service.

Good antivirus program, good design, they seem trust worthy insofar as they have made a cute design. Kinda upsells the cleaner program too much, but that's capitalism... even just getting the free version gives ease of mind. Recommend.

Avast Security undertakes regular security checks on my laptop that are quickly performed and reassuring, particularly in its identification and blocking of any malware.

The fact that I was forced to speak with a retention representative who repeatedly tried to pressure me into keeping the subscription, offered only partial refunds, and initially resisted my clear request for a full refund is completely unacceptable.

The absence of a simple and transparent option to cancel the subscription and request a refund online makes the entire process feel deliberately obstructive and misleading. A legitimate company should not make customers argue repeatedly for a refund that its own policy states they are entitled to receive.

This experience has seriously damaged my trust in Avast and gives the impression of a company relying on coercive retention practices rather than providing fair and transparent customer service.

I’ve used Avast for several years and appreciate the strong protection it provides against viruses and malware. The interface is straightforward, and updates run smoothly without interrupting my work.

While I appreciate the solid protection this program provides, I am frustrated by the constant upsell prompts to upgrade. I expected these advanced features to be included in the standard software. Additionally, the installation attempted to hijack my settings and force itself as the default browser, requiring me to manually switch back to Chrome. On a positive note, customer service was highly responsive and effectively resolved my initial setup issues.

It just makes me feel safer when I am on the net

Great tech options at affordable prices. Easy to install, use, and exist with. A dream for those of us that like "low maintenance, but highly effective".

Forget the "30-day refund policy". I do agree with many of other customers, that the customer service is just a bot and a nuisance. On the day of the automatic renewal and being charged I unsubscribed and went on to request a refund, offered on their website and renewal email "you can also cancel your subscription/s and request a full refund within 30 days of being charged". I was offered 30% and declined, then they offered 50%, and after a lot of wasted time I gave up. The 50% have been refunded. Strange policy and performance.
