The product is fine now I have sorted out the poor edge but it took five months to get it to me! Even a cheap machete shouldn't have a thick bur on the grind. I was asked at the time (as it was no longer in stock even though advertised as available) if I wanted to wait until it was back in stock or have a refund. If I had been made aware that it was going to take as long to restock I wouldn't have been as concerned about the wait. Better communication would have helped in this instance. I needed the tool for a particular task and therefore it's late arrival was frustrating, I should have checked how long your re-stock was going to take so was also to blame. This being the case I have adjusted my rating.

Product is solid enough.

But I enquired regarding the shovel handle not being treated at the tip which plugs in shovel head & asked 7 days ago if I should treat/varnish this part myself for preservation or if its deliberately not treated to allow for more flex in wood.

STILL NO reply from customer service email listed on website. And I've used the shovel untreated now.
