While Peter Lynn & Partners successfully completed the purchase of our home, regrettably, I would not choose to use their services again.
Throughout the process, I frequently found myself having to chase for updates, which added avoidable stress during what is already a significant and often challenging time for any family. I also felt there was a lack of empathy and appreciation for the importance of clear, timely communication.
In particular, I was disappointed by Peter’s initial response to one of my emails, in which he stated, “we too lead busy lives.” I found this remark to be discourteous and unprofessional, especially as my request—for a provisional completion date within a very small chain—was, in my view, entirely reasonable.
I hope the firm takes this feedback on board and reflects on the importance of professionalism, effective communication, and client care, particularly when clients are placing considerable trust and financial commitment in their services
They don't respond to you at all, they ignore emails for weeks on end, even the estate agent can't get a response. Extremely slow. Customer service is non existent.
We managed to speak to the solicitors assistant and she was just rude. After a couple of weeks of nothing, we called and she pretended it wasn't her we were speaking to! Who knows when we will hear from them.
We accepted an offer on our house 16 weeks ago, and I still don't know if we are near completing. They don't care at all!!! They treat you like you are a massive inconvenience. Stay clear of them! - Ammanford
Our solicitor Richard Thomas, managed our expectations and explained in pragmatic terms each step during the sale of our property.
Any queries we had were answered promptly.
We would highly recommend Peter Lynn & Partners, as the Walter Road reception staff, were also polite and efficient in dealing with our calls to the office. Regards R&C Critchley.
I chose this firm expecting a smooth, professional experience. Instead, it’s been three months of silence and delay — and that’s with no chain on either side.
Emails are routinely ignored. There’s no proactive communication, no sense of urgency, and certainly no reassurance during what should be an exciting milestone. It often feels like my purchase is an afterthought.
If you value clear updates and efficient handling, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere. This has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing parts of the entire home-buying process.
The service provided by Ben Jones & the Peter Lynn team was fantastic. Ben was extremely helpful and made our experience as stress free as possible. Thank you!
Terrible service. I am autistic which prohibits me from making phone calls without extreme anxiety. In the modern world you would think this would not be an issue, and email communication would more than suffice. Alas this is not the case with this atrocious firm. They withheld key information about a sale I was trying to make. After months of waiting and being given incomplete information about the reason for the delay, I asked a third party to call them on my behalf. Only then did the true situation come to light. This information was of such a magnitude that I pulled out of the sale almost immediately. Had they communicated in a clear and transparent manner, months of heartache and a lot of money would have been saved. I felt genuinely discriminated against as a disabled person by this situation. Avoid at all costs.
They get the one star because they are cheap. Otherwise it would be a zero. I used Rebecca Jackson for the conveyancing of a sale and a purchase. I kept in being sent the wrong documents/info for ID for the sale and it was all disorgaised and a bit annoying. I sent some questions and the response from the assistant was that she will deal with clients on a first come first served basis and that we'd hear by the end of the week. That was bad enough and bit weird. However, the house I was buying was a new build and there were delays that were purely down to the developer and nothing or no one could speed it up. Rebecca was really polite in her emails but this was not her fault. This delay cannot be put down to Rebecca. However, once we were ready to get things moving, Rebecca found an issue and this is when I was extremely shocked by her behaviour. Rather than deal with me to find a solution or even let me ask questions, she became ridiculously obstinate and refused to reply to my emails and phone calls to discuss a solution. There were loads and loads and loads of calls and emails I made to her and her assistant yet Rebecca just refused to engage with me. I think she needs to be reminded just who the client is and who is working for who! Rude is an understatement when describing her conduct. The only way I got her to engage was by sending her an email and sacking her. Funnily enough I was exchanged within a week. She is either lazy, incompetent or her workload is too high. Whichever it is her behaviour caused me so much stress that it made me ill.
I contacted Peter Lynn & Partners to make a defence against a well known "illegal outfit".
To defend me cost over 7k. I could have paid the "illegal outfit" just 3k.
Have to wonder if they actually had my best interests "at heart".
In fact, I was so put off by this clear failure that when I encountered a similar experience years later I decided to defend myself, and lost! My fault but I'd lost all confidence in solicitors!
