I’m a legacy Quicken user since the early 1990s. I hate the fact that you have moved to a subscription-based service that requires annual payments to manage my personal finances. I love the product, b... See more

Been using Quicken and Quickbooks since…
Been using Quicken and Quickbooks since 1990s. Simplifi is good. Hard to add new categories and tags without stopping what you are doing. Sometimes Simplifi has a mind of its own on interpretation. Hence 4 stars.
It is clunky and expensive
It is clunky and expensive. I came to Quicken at a reasonable price - and did not have to 'update' upgrade every year. Now it's $137/year and sky is the limit . . . and it's only good for one year. RIDICULOUS.
The renewal is highly overpriced
The renewal is highly overpriced, and the software is full of glitches.
I have a problem with reports…
I have a problem with my Quicken not pulling info from my registers when running easy answer reports and not listing individually from a split. I sent a report to Quicken, but no reply. I need this info for taxes!!
Cost
The only thing I dislike is the cost, but in all fairness, that’s partly because I don’t fully utilize or understand how to utilize a lot of its features.
Longevity speaks loudest
After twenty plus (it may be as much as thirty but I'm not sure of the number) years of continued use I still continue to use it. You guess why.
I don’t use this product.

My Pro’s & Con’s
I like the report customization & automatic transaction downloads that are available for a wide variety of financial institutions. I greatly dislike that Target credit card transaction data only updates after the end of each month and cannot be updated on a daily basis. I also find the predictive categorization for transactions to be consistently unreliable for certain repeat vendors. It should default to how we’ve previously classified transactions from that vendor (or at least default to how we have classified the majority of previous transactions from that vendor).
Couldn't download any activity since…
Couldn't download any activity since March, had to do it all by hand. Once I was up to date, it all works.
The easy of using it
The easy of using it. Helps identify tax items. Reconciliation of bank account. Lots can be down with it. Makes life easier and quicker to accomplish end result.
I do not like the subscription model
I do not like the subscription model. I much preferred when i could purchase updates. I also am not interested in cloud storage. The software overall is good. I just hate the model that quicken has moved to over the last several years.
I’ve been a customer for over 30 years…
I’ve been a customer for over 30 years using your product. Yet, I have only seen minor improvements to the product that do not justify the price increases. No customer loyalty and it seems your company is more interested in profits verses customers satisfaction. I’m more than lucky going to “cut the cord” soon as the see no vale or benefits going forward. I have sent in my comments before and asked for a reply or to contact me directly for the past 3 years and no response.
Reliable quality product
Been using Quicken for over twenty years. Product has been steadily improving on the Mac platform. Reliable and accurate in tracking cash flow and investments. Reports are in-depth and well designed.

I have been using Quicken for many years and have been very satisfied with the program’s features and capabilities. The reason my name came up now is just that I have downloaded Quicken to a new computer in order to keep using it. Thanks!!
Long time user
My husband first started using Quicken many years ago. I soon followed and have always been satisfied. Quicken makes keeping my bank statements reconciled and my expenditures categorized so easy!
