Really great service
Really great service, using their website was very straightforward, they beat my renewal quote by £40 so I added the Rac breakdown cover and it all can to less than my old motorbike insurance. Overall very pleased.

Additional hidden charges
When seeking quotes for my Insurance, I was extremely frustrated with the way your website opens up with a number of additionally costed options in some cases for what would normally be included in any normal insurance quote i.e. full windscreen repair was extra . This approach is not disimilar to that when booking an airline seat for £1 and by the time you’ve added it on your seat reservation your luggage and your security access it cost £1000. In my opinion this is slightly underhand and shouldn’t be conducted by a company with as much history as yours.

No loyalty and no common sense
I have used Swinton for contents insurance on my rented property since 2015. I recently took out a mortgage and got my buildings and contents insured through the mortgage provider, so asked Swinton to cancel.
Swinton advised me the charge to cancel would be £50.87 despite only having £21.32 left to pay on my policy, so now I am left insuring a house I don't live in. The online agent was about as helpful as a chocolate teapot.

RIpping people off
Substantially increased the premium even though no claims made said it was because costs have risen felt like I was taking to a robot just going through the motions, tried to ring them originally .. not allowed .. found there actually name and rang them .. got no where really even though I've been with them for a long time.. got a slight reduction but for lesser cover and nothing like the last premium.. hadn't got the time to shop about but will do next time.. wont use them again..
