Very Poor Experience with TCS
1st case handler was unhelpful and rude, ignoring postal delays caused by covid-19. A bad start for a spring application set to complete at the end of the summer.
Then TCS totally failed to properly check my information in the 5 months they had it before we were due to complete - meaning a totally avoidable last-minute rush to get the correct details to them. Even then, they managed to mess up sending me an email with the details of the issue, I had to contact them to find out what was missing. All we received was a cryptic SMS promising a follow up email which never arrived.
I would never knowingly use TCS for conveyancing as I consider them incompetent.
All in all a very poor experience.
Completed but not overly impressed with the service
I used TCS for my remortgage and had I known that the solicitors I work for were also on Accord’s panel I would have asked them to deal with it. The whole process took 2 months to deal with but there issues along the way with missing documents not being attached to correspondence, documents being sent twice when they had been completed already and it took me to contact both lenders for redemption figures to move it along. Even 7 months after completion I am still waiting for the updated office copy entries which I paid £35 for in January. I can actually request these for £3 from HMLR and unless they still haven’t been registered then there is no reason for the delay. I have emailed the handler twice, once in May but received no response and again today. I appreciate that we are in the midst of a global crisis but as a solicitor myself I have continued to work remotely all the way the through and would have expected an out of office response if the handler was on furlough.
All in all it was completed reasonably quickly but services were poor and I would certainly avoid in future.

Terrifying.
Horrendous experience from start to finish. Ill give bullet points to summarise.
- Agreed on initial fee, ended up paying almost double.
- When I came to sell my house I found that they had not completed the necessary tasks set out in our contract, so not only were we in breach, we also were not able to sell
- NO COMMUNICATION! It is like trying to get blood from a stone
- When the issue arouse during the sale of my house, it was found that they had charged me twice for some services. This was offered as a refund, they also offered me £250 "compensation" but this didn't cover the £360 that it had cost me to rectify. They grudgingly agreed to pay the costs of my solicitors, but I was informed it was "inordinately expensive", which is quite amusing considering their service.
Awful experience from start to finish...2 years later.

TCM and LMS same company! AVOID!!!!
I purchased my property through NAtWest, you would think respectable bank all should be fine!? Yes until TCS come in to the picture. From that point expect to suffer, expect your emails not to be responded to, expect mistakes and countless delays for no good reason. I investigated a bit further they work with nearly all banks for mortgages and remortgages. Clearly they can’t cope with the work load. In my case they have made a mess of my property and refuse to help. Just a terrible company please do avoid. LMS are part of the same company if your see their company name start running while you have the chance. I have sent an email two weeks ago no reply, sent it again no reply. Called no answer. They have no idea what to do and I feel a lot of it is guess work. Take my advise all the good reviews are invited, most likely employees of TCS or LMS search them on LinkedIn. Terrible company full of incompetent staff!I had no choice but to use this company, next time il pay the extra money and get a better legal team. This is a genuine review Not from a competitor or anything. Read other reviews proceed with caution you’ve been warned! The ceo have worked for banks that’s why they’ve managed to get contracts for nearly all the banks but their useless trust me pay a personal law team and save yourself time and sanity. Oh if they say we will call you back, just means got of the line I can’t be bothered right now. Finally, you get passed from to person to person, and this is not great as you have to keep explaining your situation. The last person you send documents to can’t share them with the new person you’ve been assigned to so it’s starting from scratch. I hope you have a pleasant experience but with another firm!
Edit: you have asked me to send an email when I already have countless times and have sent the same email three time’s giving each email 5 working days apart! That’s 15 business days. So sending another email seems to be a complete waste of time. I’m moving my case to a new conveyancer, I’ve simply had enough.
