An incredible Garden Glass Room

Although I had to wait a while it has been worth it 100%. The quality of the construction and the Fitters Sergio and Anthony were incredible, meticulous and so professional. Worth every penny and I can now appreciate my garden at the same time as being comfortable come rain, sun and Wind.

Could have been a 5 star rating if communication had been better

This would be 5 star if the communication between the company and ourselves had been better. It took a total of over 6 months from ordering to installation.We had to take the initiative and phone before any updates were given, original date for installation was late October -actual installation 23rd March! However, the delivery and installation teams were excellent and we are very happy with the completed veranda.

Excellent quality and very well fitted

Really liked the quality of the product and the helpful service from beginning to end. The installation went ahead when promised.
The finished job is excellent and really enhances the full use of our home and will be a good selling point if we ever decide to move.

Is anyone there????

7th March update -
A couple of days after writing the review below, I was phoned by a senior manager who arranged the repairs very quickly and now the glass room is fully operational again. Thank you for the swift resolution but it shouldn't really take a bad review and a mangers involvement to resolve basic customer issues.

My glass house was installed last summer and has developed a couple of minor faults - not a huge problem until you add in the diabolical customer service. I am the customer have received didly squat service! It’s been 4 weeks now since I reported the issues and each week I phone and I’m told that either Rebecca or Laura will call me back that day to discuss and book in the repair - each week they don’t bother. Yesterday when I rang and received the same “oh don’t worry Rebecca or Laura will ring you back” I made a bet that if they did I would buy the whole team cream cakes and deliver them to the offices - needless to say I won’t be needing to send the cakes anywhere. If anyone from Eden actually reads this reviews, I would be grateful and flabbergasted if someone could actually phone me…..

A good looking veranda

Overall very pleased with the look of the product.

I was impressed with the fitters’ determination to finish the job in one day, but this meant the final stages were undertaken in the dark. As a consequence we needed someone to come along the next day to sort out some snagging issues. Promptly done, but rather took the shine off the whole process.

Good product, poor service

First, the finished verandah is of good quality and was installed professionally. The issue is that the build and installation are both contracted out (the verandah was made in Germany). Eden's role was the sales, admin and customer service all of which was lacking. The sales pitch seriously underestimated the delivery period and even told us the 12 weeks indicated on the website was actually decreasing. Our installation required planning permission which took 7 weeks, but the whole process took 30 weeks. So, making an allowance for planning, it took almost twice the time we were told when we signed on the dotted line. The slick sales pitch seriously over promised. Throughout this process we had a difficult relationship with Customer Services, receiving wrong information on a number of occasions, frustrations as we were passed between departments and having to correct them a number of times when trying to finally arrange installation. The people at Eden are all very pleasant but it was a frustrating and drawn out process which could have been avoided with just a little more care. I guess time will lead us to forget the frustrations and enjoy the product which, to date, we are very pleased with. Would I recommend Eden? I think one pays a premium over their competitors and for this one should expect slick service. So, probably not.

Excellent company and products

I ordered the Cadiz. It is at the more expensive end of the awnings market, but so far looks good value for money. It is an attractive, robust looking system, for a difficult space.
Everyone I have encountered from Eden Verandas has been very professional, polite and the company has a strong customer service ethos. So far I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Only time will tell if the Cadiz and its installation is as good as it appears, but I'm feeling confident.

NB it was built to order, so allow plenty of lead time.

Not so sure

The process was really good until they have received payment. I have a cracked glass which happened with installation and although acknowledged by Eden Verandas and agreed to replace, nothing has happened for almost a month now! I was chased for payment but conveniently forgotten about the after sale service element.

Awning from Eden. Avoid!!

After sales service is shocking, calls are NEVER returned. Job not finished after 7 mths. After fitting and billing me, they never came back to fit the sensor and I never managed to get an appointment. Thousands of pounds in a hole, awning that does not work, no commitment to put it right.

Fantastic Eden Verandas

Eden Verandas have recently (Aug 22) fitted a large glass veranda. From design, planning through to the fitting the process was very clear and Eden verandas were helpful. Whilst there were some delays due to planning requiring a redesign and the extended supply chain, I was kept well informed. The fitting team were fantastic and considered every tiny detail. Overall the quality of the product is exceptional and I am very happy with the veranda.

Everything, from the initial telephone conversations, through survey, invoicing, delivery and installation was handled very professionally - could not have asked for more.
The product is as good as we had expected, and we are very pleased with it - a further order is being considered.

I am still waiting for an official…Very Unprofessional

I am still waiting for an official quote 2 weeks after Mark Swanson’s appointment on 4th July. No email, no phone call and nothing in the post!

When I enquired via their website, I had a follow up call the next day and the lady qualified my requirements giving me a guideline of £7-£14K for a glass room typically 3x3 meters, she also took the time to make sure that I was the only person that would be making the decision and that no one else needed to be present which I confirmed as correct and an evening appointment was made.

The first ‘error’ was a couple of days prior to my appointment I had a voicemail from this sales person saying they were looking forward to meeting me and my husband. Did he not read the notes?

Second ‘error’ I received a text message from him on the morning of the appointment saying he was free at lunchtime and it would suit him better to have an earlier appointment! I texted back saying I was not not free until the appointed time and would see him then

3rd ‘error’ He arrives 25 minutes early, I had just finished on a zoom meeting and still had work to do, I told him so but he said he could only do this time.

4th ‘error’ He made no effort to measure the area until I asked him to, he demonstrated a complete lack of interest and reluctantly said he could do an estimate for me but it would take him about 15 minutes. I said that was fine. He worked this out using prices from a folder and on a sheet of paper, he had a lap top but found it difficult to even find relevant images of the type of glass I wanted on the side wall. I would have thought that in this day and age the company would have set up a programme to make up estimates and email to the preceptive client on the spot! He gave me an estimate of £36,700 that was with a 20% discount for a 5x3 meter structure WITHOUT any groundwork! That’s almost £2500 per square meter!

5th error. I asked him to get me an official quote one with the glass walls and one without. 3 weeks on I am still waiting!. I can only surmise that the ‘quote’ he gave me was a complete rip off and that he is working solely on commission and thought as a single lady he could get away with it or this company is in fact ludicrously expensive.

I am extremely disappointed at the unprofessional way that I as a potential customer was treated. Needless to say I would not recommend their services which is a pity as the product looks great

On another note this company only responds to 5 star reviews. A company of any worth, would see the value of responding to those that are less enamoured by their service. To me that speaks volumes.

Look elsewhere.....

Disappointing, best part of 12 months for a £10000 awning ordered around March 2021 for completion July/Augsut due to a "shortage of remote controls in Germany" completion was delayed several (6) months.

Original design couldn't be implemented, so had to be changed. First surveyor didnt show up no telephone call or excuse given simply didnt arrive. Installers arrived but no electrician, a good few weeks later the electrician arrived no remote control, the awning cannot be operated manually ( not Edens fault their not the designers, only the slick sales team and installers but let’s hope the remote doesn’t break! ) When the electrician arrived I was on holiday and my father in law was there to meet him, I left cash for the final instalment to be paid to the electrician on completion of the job, the job wasn't completed but the company still asked for payment which my father in law handed over. On my insistence It was returned to us the next day.

Over all brilliant

Over all brilliant, had trouble because of bank holiday so installation took longer. Fitters are great they even swept the grass so no mess left. The only problem I have is the bottom of the ramp is a step of about 2 inches I had hope there would be none.

Why Not 5 Stars?

Good company, excellent product, professionally installed, and we have a great result. So why do they lose a star? Because the delivery timescales turned out to be significantly longer than originally quoted, and we needed to ‘sit on them’ to push things along. Things slowed down and needed chasing once the slick sales department had our order on the books. Less significantly, they also chased me for a payment that I had already made.

Veranda lovely delivery wait frustrating…

Veranda lovely and erected by very competent men. We waited 5 months for it to be delivered. very frustrating. This could have been avoided by letting us know the true expected delivery time at the outset. I also wasn't expecting to have to connect the gutter outlet into our drainage system. Not a problem but I could have made better provision in advance had I known. The veranda is a very good make and looks really nice now erected the lads were organised and neat in their working and cleaned everything away before leaving. The whole operation completed in 6 hours. Thanks to the delivery and erection lads and Neil at the office who finally gave us a firm delivery and erection date.

Takes time but a good result.

No good if you're in a hurry. From order to completion was 15 months but this did include them getting planning permission and a broken glass on fitting with a three month lead time for a replacement. However, very pleased with the result and with the fitters.
