Excellent service

Absolutely fantastic service from ModernMail. The whole process was simple and hassle‑free – I just uploaded my document, added the recipient details, and they handled the printing and posting for me. The website is clear and easy to use, with everything laid out in a very straightforward way.

Bad first experience, must improved.

Update:
I had a pretty bad first experience but since then they have been really helpful dealing with RoyalMail's idiocy.
RoyalMail otoh seem to be incapable of delivering letters in any sort of reliable fashion.

I paid for a signed delivery of a letter. It was never delivered, ModernMail simply ignores me. I don't seem to have proof of postage so I can't contact RoyalMail and ModernMail simply couldnt' care less.

Updated stars to reflect that after I posted this review they did fix the situation (you can see their response). Better than nothing but still was an overall bad experience.

I’m really sorry this was your experience. You’re right to have felt frustrated, especially after waiting for a reply.

To clarify what happened: you placed two orders with us, both sent via Royal Mail Signed For. Both items were printed and collected by Royal Mail on the same day as ordering. One item has been marked as delivered. The second shows as “We’ve got it” on Royal Mail’s tracking (which means it has yet to be scanned on receipt of a signature).

Our service involves printing your letter, preparing it, and handing it directly to Royal Mail with the selected postage. In this case, that was done correctly and proof of postage was obtained on the day of dispatch. Once an item is handed over, the physical delivery process is managed by Royal Mail and unfortunately sits outside of our control.

With Signed For letters, tracking only updates when a signature is captured. Large organisations often accept post in bulk without signing individual items, which can result in tracking not progressing even if delivery has been made. While this is a limitation of the Signed For service itself, we completely understand how concerning that can be from a customer’s perspective.

Where we did fall short was in missing your earlier message due to an issue during an email system upgrade. That delay in communication is entirely on us, and we’re genuinely sorry for that.

As soon as we became aware, we personally reviewed your case, provided proof of postage, issued a full refund at our own expense, and offered to resend the letter via upgraded Special Delivery at no cost. This is the usual process we offer to customers whom have the issue of the tracking page not updating.

We absolutely do care about our customers’ experience, even when delivery issues are outside our direct control, and we always aim to resolve matters fairly.

can’t recommend Modernmail highly…

can’t recommend Modernmail highly enough, especially Alexander, who provided truly fantastic service from start to finish.

We needed to organise important documents to be printed and posted urgently, and as we’re living in Spain, getting time-sensitive paperwork handled correctly can be stressful and difficult. Alexander made the whole process completely painless.

He was extremely attentive, professional, and efficient, kept us informed throughout, and was always available to answer questions. The documents were sent out quickly, accurately, and exactly as required. The whole process was fast, smooth, and very competitively priced.

This is actually the second time we’ve used Modernmail, and once again the service was A1. Reliable, responsive, and trustworthy — exactly what you want when dealing with important legal documents.

I just had my car scrapped

I just had my car scrapped, but lost the VC5 so DVLS only need a letter. I was thinking Oh no! i have no printer. I have to handwrite it, take a drive to get an envelope and stamp and put it in the postbox. But I realised it was 2026, got ChatGPT to make the PDF and sent it my modernmail. Slightly more expensive than posting by hand but actually not when you consider the saving in labour and transport.

Outstanding and the Reviews here honestly help!

Using this service for the first time was really helpful, especially since my printer decided to jam permanently and I needed an alternative. It also gave me confidence knowing the company had strong reviews.

What truly stood out was how I accidentally ruined my order and contacted them straight away once I realised. They corrected it quickly and even sent the order through sooner than expected. I am genuinely grateful for how fast and professional the whole process was. I often worry about slow responses from companies because customer service has changed so much since COVID. Even with the shift in how many businesses communicate, Modermail handled everything incredibly well and far exceeded my expectations. Thank you for the great service and please keep it up.

Used the company to serve legal documents to a high court. I hadn’t used them before, so I was a little apprehensive considering the important nature of the task.
I called their team before placing my order and was greeted by a friendly voice (Alex). Alex clarified that my documents would be dispatched on the same day the order was received. They received the order, printed it (a 62 page file), upgraded the envelope (free of charge), applied a large envelope cover sticker, and dispatched it the same day. Documents arrived at the court in perfect time. I highly recommend, Modernmail service. I live in Thailand and rely heavily on print and post services……..I think I have just found my partner!

Was a very quick and straightforward process, just upload the file, pay and done. Really helped me when my printer was being weird.

I guess what could make it better is having an account portal, would be very useful when using for work purposes to help you keep track of everything.
