This is such a nifty idea, to be able to upload a letter and have it printed and sent from within the UK! One of my friends said it's like a telegram for the modern age.
I've used Modernmail twice, and both times it has been really smooth and affordable. It's inexpensive and, in my limited experience, very reliable. And it helps me to keep me in touch with my older relatives who don't enjoy online communication.

Simple way to send a letter. Im in UAE and when I need to contact HMRC I prefer a letter. With this I upload, pay and send.
Site works well, without all the marketing stuff that bigger sites have.

Modern Mail is such a brilliant service; simple yet highly effective. I haven't owned a printer for years (does anyone anymore?!) and as I work full-time, finding the time to go to the post office has always been such a hassle. With Modern Mail, I don't have to worry about the arduous process of finding a printer and picking up stamps (which I know sounds like a simple thing to do but life always gets in the way), as they do it all for me.
The service also has a lovely customer service team who have even helped my mum, who isn't a big fan of technology, send multiple letters.
I will definitely be using Modern Mail again!

I was disappointed that your service doesn't include an option to send a copy of the uploaded document along with the recipient's address to the sender's email for confirmation. While I understand the need to avoid storing documents and addresses for GDPR compliance, you could implement a system where the document and address are emailed to the sender (along with a reference or tracking number) and then promptly deleted from your servers. This approach would provide users with a reliable record of their transaction without breaching data protection rules. Without such a feature, the service feels significantly less practical for my needs.
2. No document preview or cancellation option
I was also slightly confused by the lack of a preview option after uploading the document. Perhaps I missed it, but it seems very easy to accidentally upload the wrong file. In my view, verifying the document before sending is critical.
I assumed there would be a preview or at least an option to review the upload later in the process (after payment). However, I discovered that once payment is made, there’s no way to preview or cancel the order. This lack of flexibility could lead to unnecessary errors and frustration for users.

I’ve been using this service regularly for the past few months, and I honestly can't recommend it enough. It makes sending important documents so much easier. Instead of going to the post office, I just upload the file, choose the delivery option, and they take care of everything from there. It’s such a time-saver, especially when I’m busy with work.

Have used modernmail a couple of times now and very impressed so far. I can construct a letter and upload it to their site and send it. I've used the signed for first class and recieved royal mails tracking number so I can see when it was recieved. Faultless and highly recommend.

Veey simple process to upload a letter , and post, all from the comfort of home. Excellent communication with a notification to confirm it had been sent. The cost was very reasonable, especially as I don't post much, so would have had to purchase envelopes etc, find somewhere to print the letter and drove 3 miles to the nearest post office for a stamp.
Highly recommended. Would use again
