EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE

I booked the service 4 weeks beforehand. I was told that the movers would arrive at 7-8am. I got multiple phone calls from different people going back and forth over what time they were supposed to come, at 11am or 7-8am. Naturally I was expecting one of these times. On the day of the move, I was then told it would be 12pm arrival. And hours later, I was told it was now 4:30pm arrival. The movers showed up at 5:00pm. They were not sorry, they were vocal to each other about having a big job that morning. It seemed like there was a double booking. I asked what the issue was and why they were late, truck problem or a double booking, I asked what went wrong. I did not get an explanation. I was told around midday by their admin that I would receive a discount for the all day stuff around, and when the movers came they said they have no permission or ability to apply the discount themselves, even AFTER they dropped my washing machine and arrived 9 hours late. Me and my friend also packed our cars with most of the items that needed moving. The time it took the movers to pack the truck was 25 minutes. We did half their job, it was an extremely small job on their part, and they still charged full price. It was 20 minutes distance to the new address. Fairly nice guys but terrible communication around the company, and they would also speak in their language that only they could understand in front of me/others. Will definitely not be using the service again.

Booked for 9-11 then later was told it…

Booked for 9-11 then later was told it had to be done 12-1. When the actual day of move when I made a call they said it’s booked for 1-3. When driver didn’t show up until 3:30 made multiple calls and I was told someone will be there in half hours, after many hours passed Movee said they can’t get hold of driver so will reschedule the move. Then out of no where 2 driver showed up at 5:30pm to do the move. They were slow and I took pictures and made calls before we all left for the destination. Then after I reached to the actual place I made a call to driver and they said there is heavy traffic so they will be late and after hour they said they have flat tyres so will be late again. After making many call they showed up at 11:30 pm. After arrival they ask me to pay for all the time they have taken to get there including 1.5 hrs they have taken to change their tyres. The guy on the phone was very rude and was telling me in Australian people have to pay when job is done. I refuse to pay as he was trying to charge me $1k for the move. When I refuse they took my stuff and left. Next morning when I call Movee They said they can’t get hold of driver or the company they gave job so they can’t do anything. After 100 calls again they said 2-3 delivery then 4 then 5 and no show up. With all this Movee people blame me saying driver said they left 1st place at 7:30 and you are saying 7. Double check first before arguing, that’s the exact word he told me. I was shocked how they behave with customer. After all this argument went to police station to make a claim as they had all my stuff and me and my 2 years old were out of blankets or anything that we needed for another night. Then they promise they will deliver next morning which was 3rd day, then same again with multiple calls they just say we are trying to ring the company and driver and nothing happen. After many calls from morning then finally driver called and said he will drop my stuff. Finally driver showed up at 2:30 pm with my stuff and going through all this truma and stress Movee people call me said pay first so they will drop my stuff.
I would not trust them or would not recommend anyone to use them. They are full of scam, they will rip you off for sure. Don’t ever trust them

**DO NOT USE MOVEE EVER!!**

**DO NOT USE MOVEE EVER!!** - The worst experience from any company that I have ever come across.

Movee are basically a booking agency that claim to book removalist that fail to deliver and their customer service team is appalling baed out of India.

My horror story occurred on Fri Apr 22 when I was promised a booking time slot of 12pm -2pm. There was a no show constant chasing up then advised delayed and would come between 3pm to 5pm -still now show then finally 2 young guys rock up at 6:30pm totally inexperienced and said they were only allocated the job 30mins ago!! It was pitch black they started and tried moving furniture but said it would take ages and promised they would come back next morning with 2 teams and 4 men to speed job up by 10am at latest.

Next morning 8am came 9:00am came and 10am came - nothing. After countless calls to MOVEE I get a text message from them saying she could not handle the stress but someone would be there within the hour. Within 5 minutes of getting this message I then got a call from another representative at MOVEE saying there are no removalist available now and they have to cancel the job!!

It is now 10:30am on Sat 23 a long weekend, I was suppose to be out yesterday, I have the buyer of my property banging on the door telling me to get out e-mails in the inbox from solicitors saying I am trespassing and my furniture still in my unit with no removalist on the horizon or how I am going to move.

Thanks MOVEE for totalling ruining my life!!!

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. I booked in my move from 2 bed apartment to a house. After I placed booking, I tried to contact them to notify the narrow driveway of my new home, everyone says we will get back to you and no one cares and just ignore. On the day, they removalist comes and complains that the platform shouldn't book this service in 3pm in the afternoon, they cannot finish the removal at all. This should be a morning job. And the removalist left and asked customer service to call me back to arrange someone come back next day morning. But when they call me back, they said we cannot find anyone take your job, we will cancel your booking. That is the last day of my deadline to move. I have to find someone else to urgent move for me and pay extra. And they do not refund me $400 deposit even they cancelled my booking. After number of complains lodged, they only agreed to refund $200 to me. I would never book with the platform again and put myself in a risk of no one wants to move for you at the last minutes.

Horrible horrible company

Horrible horrible company! I booked a move and paid the deposit. They refused to give my deposit back. It was all good taking my money but when the job was cancelled they gave me very short notice and kept my deposit. I am so angry and upset with this company it’s not even funny. Their customer service is disgraceful, they laugh at you on the phone and belittle you. Stay away from this company.

This company is an absolute scam

This company is an absolute scam! Do not use them. This is coming from a Removalist’s view. They have not paid me for a week’s worth of work. They operate from another country. Absolute disgrace! Avoid at all costs!!! This company has cost me over $2000 for one week!

After arriving four and a half hours…

After arriving four and a half hours late the truck could not accommodate the booked load. Outdoor setting and office table left behind. Within 10 minutes attempting to move a couch they had damaged the door arcs. Rude staff. On arrival they demanded cashor a bank transfer as their card reader didn’t work. If you want service forget this mob. No discount for the left itinerary and zero contact bar a satisfaction survey enforcing their 100% satisfaction.

Never again!

Move was booked for 8am. It was continually pushed back throughout the day after multiple calls and texts to see where they were.
The removalists finally arrived at 6pm.
Although they were very nice guys, they had clearly received no train as they had no idea how to pack a truck, how to lift correctly without causing damage to my items or themselves. They were also incredibly slow.
I moved more items in and out of the truck at both ends of the move than the two removalists that I was paying to do the job combined.
After the job finished at 8:30pm (remembering the original booking was for 8am), I received a call from the office and was charged full price!!

Booked with movee and had a terrible…

Booked with movee and had a terrible and stressful experience on the day of the move. We had reconfirmed the night before and they still called us back two hours before the move to say they can’t make it and cannot even bother to help us with another alternative or reference. The lady on the phone seemed least bothered about it. We had booked an end of lease clean with@clean my crib a reference via movee and they dint turn up as well, not very surprised tho.

Not recommend.

Our experience with Movee was a…

Our experience with Movee was a nightmare, firstly they didn’t show up on the day and after numerous phone calls and being given the run around we got told that they would be there 6.30am the next morning. The next day they arrived at 8.15am not 6.30am as promised, they arrived in a small truck. My son and his friends had to help them lift my furniture as they could not lift on their own. Then said they would give us a discount, well they have a discount of $1.10 yep that’s right $1.10. My furniture got damaged. These 2 guys were not professionals and arriving in a small truck after being told how much furniture and boxes we had was disgusting service. We ended up moving the tvs and most of the furniture outselves in my sons van, this took the move longer but at least I knew my tvs would not get damaged. Honestly you would be better off hiring a truck and moving yourself

ZERO STARS shocking unprofessional company

I wish I had seen these reviews before I booked with MOVEE. Totally unprofessional. Kept changing the service provider then on the day noone turned up. All they could say was "give me 10 minutes to contact the service provider". Then they called and sent a text (3 hours after the job should have commenced) saying the service provider was at my address. 5 minutes later they called again and said that they called the wrong person and they were nor at my address!!!

1 hour later they called to advise the service provider cannot complete the job and it will be cancelled and I should wait 3 days for my deposit to be returned!!! Shocking company. DO NOT USE

I'd give 0 stars if possible.

Move was booked with 2-man team, with a truck large enough to accommodate a three bedroom home in a single trip. The time window was 8am - 12pm.

At 9:00, a representative from MOVEE phoned to confirm that the job had commenced. I advised them the team hadn't arrived, and they contacted the movers assigned to the job - CHAUDHARY, SAHIL. At that time, we were told that the truck had a problem with a tire or wheel, and they had returned to their depot to replace the tire and would advise us directly when they were underway, likely arriving between 12 and 1pm.

At 12:15 the team hadn't arrived or called. I called the provided mobile and the gentleman who answered didn't know anything about our move, or a truck. He advised he would call back. I called MOVEE, who again contacted the team (presumably on the number they had supplied to me) and advised that a mechanic had been called for the malfunctioning truck and that the work would be complete within the hour with our move scheduled to begin at 2:30. At this time, I asked whether a backup solution could be sought as we were cutting it close to move in before dark and the contents of our fridge and freezer wouldn't survive the day in an esky. We were told that someone would call us shortly. Unsurprisingly, no one called.

At 3:15 I called MOVEE again, and spoke to a representative who did not give his name. He claimed no knowledge of previous calls, and again asked for time to speak to the moving team. When he called back, he advised that they would arrive by 5:30pm. When I expressed displeasure (and disbelief), the representative become aggressive and suggested that MOVEE made no promises as to mover arrival times or availability, and suggested that they had no control over the teams or individuals subcontracted to act on their behalf. They then asked for permission to do the move on the following day. I insisted (as is reasonable) that they would need to come on that day, or we would cancel and rebook with a more reliable service. I was advised that if they did not complete the move on the agreed day, the team would come at 8am the following day at no charge (although I had paid a $200 deposit already).

The moving team arrived in a newly-rented 4.5t truck at 5:40pm and proceeded to complain about the weather, the lack of light, and the fact that we had 'insisted' that they show up when it would have been easier to do it tomorrow. They advised that they had told MOVEE they couldn't do the job in the rain, and that we were too far from their depot, and that was the reason that they had not come in the morning. They didn't cover our furniture sufficiently and they clearly lacked the physical strength to lift many items, causing damage to the furniture, walls and doorways in our home as well as moving very slowly and seemingly deliberately dragging out the job. There was a lot of wandering around. Our couch was carried uncovered in the rain, as were shelves and bookcases.

The truck was too small (we discussed 6.5 or 8t with the advisor who made the booking, not 4.5t) and a second trip was required, adding more time to the clock.

The movers left at 9:40, and within 10 minutes we were contacted by a MOVEE representative who insisted on full payment on the spot. He refused to accept requests to escalate the issue, speak to a manager, or negotiate based on delays and the loss of our entire fridge and freezer contents. He offered to email notes to me to support a complaint, but nothing arrived. He claimed that MOVEE would deduct 8 hours of his pay if he didn't collect the funds from us and close the job in the system. He claimed he was doing unpaid overtime only for us, because we insisted on having out move completed. Emotional blackmail, to collect funds for a job unsatisfactorily completed. We were offered a feeble $40 off a job that totaled nearly $800.

We will be pursuing a complaint with MOVEE, and publishing this review on all possible public platforms.

Total rip off

Total rip off. Took hours to load small truck even though I told them what needed to be moved. Way overcharged and not the agreed amount that was quoted over the phone. Was harassed over the phone the next day to do a review online while staying on the phone. Hung up in the end. Would never recommened.

Abusive and Traumatic Experience

We used Movee to move our 2 bedroom apartment to our new ground floor apartment only 15 minutes away. When booking I explicitly itemised the furniture we had to move (they have admitted to this as they record phone calls). On the day, a truck that was MUCH too small was assigned. It took them SIX hours to move only HALF our furniture to the new place. The last time we moved, it took us (two female office workers in our early 20s) six hours to move the furniture ourselves from two separate locations when we first moved in together. Why did it take the professionals 6 hours to move half our furniture from one location?! When it came time for payment we tried to raise this issue and were quickly dismissed and told we'll need to pay now and request a partial refund when the complaints department opens the next day. We were charged over a grand for this half done job and they refused to show us an itemised bill until AFTER payment was taken and refused to leave until they were paid. The next day we called them to make this complaint and we were told they were looking into it. Then my room mate received a call from the removalist and was VERBALLY ABUSED over the phone and was sent into a literal panic attack. This clearly aggressive man who moves heavy objects for a living knows where we live. We feel so unsafe! We immediately contacted Movee to tell them what happened and were ensured that they were taking it serious and we would hear back from them within 24-48 hours. It's been over a week now and we've heard nothing despite us following up consistently.

We feel completely abandoned and so unsafe. If I could give this company less than one star I would. DO NOT USE MOVEE!

They took my $200 deposit, then the night before the move I get a text saying job cancellation truck broken down, and couldn't organise another truck. I feel like sueing them, just a bunch of rip of merchants. The most unprofessional people ever

Overpriced so much for moving a 1…

Overpriced so much for moving a 1 bedroom, they took $200 Deposit from me and said it would be taken out of the final amount, when it seems like it was added onto the 200. In fairness the 2 guys were very careful with my stuff but I’m just in awe at how much it cost me/vs how long it took us, when I should’ve just hired a van and got some friends to help me. Failed to mention the credit card extra charge also.

Make you pay deopist to get card details. Wait all day and charge you whatever they want without agreeing or willing to pay ridiculous amount.

Mess from the start. Do not use this company

Mess from the start. Removalists didn’t show despite 3 calls saying they were on the way. 2nd removalist booked for the following day wasn’t able to do it despite Movee saying it was confirmed. 3rd removalist was terrible. Damage to furniture and walls. 4 1/2 hrs for moving the large items only to just 100m down the st. Waiting to speak to a Movee rep many times listening to the recording saying ‘we take the stress out of moving’ almost did me in! It has caused immense anxiety despite that fact that I am very used to moving interstate and locally having been a defence family!!!!!! I feel absolutely robbed by Movee. They used Sydney based removalists for a Newcastle to Newcastle move. Paid approx $2000. Disgraceful

Unprofessional Pathetic Service, Overcharges and Never pays back - Still waiting for my refund a month later

Move was scheduled for 28th of Nov. Deposit paid in full ($204) on the 22nd of Nov.
3 bedroom townhouse over 2km. Move was delayed and cancelled 4 times within a day and eventually arrived at 7pm and finishing around midnight. Informed that no drivers available and then changed their mind again.
This was on a sunday when the whole house was packed and ready to move. I had a 85 year old patiently waiting for the move as she couldnt move to either homes.
At the end of the night had to pay into a bank account as credit card was not good enough even though credit card was requested for putting the deposit. Realised next day was overcharged for the move and since 29/11 waiting for my refund. Called on Monday to inform them via email and call. No one returned the call. Again called back on Tuesday the 30th and then finally got through on 1st Dec.
Immediate blame was placed on the contract company who supplied the truck and the movers. Please do not ever use these services, as they are quick to take your deposit but never delivers the service. Multiple cancellations and move never is on time, sent 2 young kids with no trolleys, no blankets and informed it was a double storey townhouse. Never took responsibility for their actions. Had to spend almost an hour when they realised they had over charged me.
Promised to make sure the staff at Movee and the contract company was going to be provided training. Was informed via call by the Manager - Michael that refund would be processed within 3 business days to the bank account.
But 3 days came and went and today it is the 29th of Dec. Called back again on the 15th of Dec and was spoken to another manager at Compliance team - her name was Aimee.
Was then informed that Accounts department had an issue with processing all refunds as there were too many to deal with. Mine will be processed by Wed - 22nd Nov and a receipt will be sent immediately. Again another lie as no receipts, no refunds, no calls. Everytime you call the number and if you select Option #2 the rude staff hang up or never answers. So the option is to call Option 1 but this also ends up with no response.
Each time there is an excuse for not processing the refund. Called today 29th of Dec exactly one month later chasing up refunds. Hung up by 4 staff who refused to transfer the call to a supervisor, or accounts department.
Then spoke to a Ken who is a Fleets Manager - promised to help, Asked to speak to accounts but said couldn't transfer call. Finally after I informed them that I will seek legal advice and go to the Victorian Tribunal he spoke to Accounts team. Said this was going to be processed today and can provide a receipt. I asked the date of the receipt and he mentioned "don't know just wait for your receipt when it comes through". Also asked me not to quote the Consumer Law or the Victorian Tribunal as they are busy with other customers and everyone should understand.
Made us wait and wait and really arrogant staff including all managers, compliance dept and accounts dept. Behaviour is un Australian and this company should not be allowed to practice as it doesn't work within the law or abide by the Consumer Laws. If I do not receive the refund by end of this week will seek assistance from the Victorian Tribunal or take it to the Courts.
Just also found out that this company also trades under CASPEAN TECH PTY LTD and this was established in Feb 2021 only. This is where the refund is being processed through.
PLEASE DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE. YOU MUCH RATHER PAY EXTRA TO A LEGITIMATE COMPANY THEN THIS ONE IN MELBOURNE. YOU WILL REGRET USING THE COMPAY AND DEALING WITH AROGANT AND RUDE STAFF.
