Very easy to setup and use. Love the widget and how quickly you can change your location. Definitely one of the best options on MacOS.

They got pure classical type of servers i have not seen on others yet

PIA customer service was a above par. I used PIA way passed seven years. I highly recommend to all my friends and family always with Trustpilot in the same breath!

VPN is cool my problem is with the antivirus they sell. The web shield is not operational and you don't find this out until you purchase it. Customer service blew me off when I asked for an explanation.

My PIA Account has been compromised and money has been taken out for a additional subscription.
I recovered the money through Paypal, however my account has not been reinstated but closed.
I still have 1 year of entitlement left on my purchase from last year but it seems nobody can or want to reinstate this entitlement

The customer support is one of the worst one I have ever encountered ( don't read messages properly and just want to close the ticket)

Had a different VPN before I purchased PIA last year. Thought is was good ( because cheaper) idea. What a mistake I made.

Couldn't get it to work. Contacted customer support. In the beginning they answered. Now they are ignoring me. Wanted my money back...Seems to be their thing to ignore people once they want their money back.

I like choosing my own US or foreign based VPN IP addresses. I wish all my other internet security providers and operating system recognized I already have the best VPN I can get! I also wish ALL websites, especially those that require a secure connection would allow me to connect through my VPN, but this problem is encountered by all VPNs that want to collect your IP address, not the IP address of the VPN. PIA does have a static IP address option that resolves these issues, but it does cost more for the dedicated IP address subscription. Still, I will take PIA over other VPN services in a heartbeat for ease of use and number of VPN servers to choose from worldwide!

I have used PIA for over a decade now. It have been available 99.7% of the time and I have not had any noticeable bottlenecks. Great service and I highly recommend it.

I’ve been using Private Internet Access (PIA) and overall I’m impressed. Server speeds are really fast, and I appreciate the granular control: you can choose the VPN protocol, tune encryption, pick ports, and tweak other advanced settings.
One caveat from my setup: UDP didn’t work for me. That could be my network conditions, but it’s worth noting.
On accessibility: the apps are usable with a screen reader (tested on mobile and Windows as a blind user). Labels are exposed and navigation is straightforward. However, the Windows app makes it hard to know if the VPN is actually on—I usually have to check whether my public IP changed. A clear, programmatically exposed “Connected/Disconnected” indicator would solve this.

A keyboard shortcut to toggle the VPN that also announces state.

An in-app “Your IP is protected” check, so users don’t have to visit external sites.

Automatic fallback with guidance if UDP is blocked (e.g., suggest TCP/WireGuard).
Bottom line: Fast and highly configurable with commendable accessibility—just needs clearer status feedback on Windows to be perfect for blind users. I’d rate it 5/5 pending that fix.

The Servers are quite fast and there is a lot of configurabiltiy and flexibility! The windows app is a bit laggy on a mid-end laptop, but that doesn't affect the connection speed. The customer support responds quickly in their promised time span and are very formal and polite! I can recommend this VPN for whoever needs it!

Dedicated IP that we rely on for SSH connections down for almost 48 hours, still no response from support despite multiple tickets.

Easy to use, simple to install, works on my Linux distro, great price, lots of server choices and great speed.
