I don't usually do this but I have had a really bad experience with this company and highly recommend others to not use it.
I had a dripping tap so decided to use Task-Her to try it out for what I thought was a simple job. The plumber who came out was very sweet but couldn't fix the issue as she could not locate the right parts. However, she was able to partially fix the issue with a temporary part she already had.
She said she would come back another time to resolve which I thought was fine. In the meantime, I was charged £119 for her to come out even though she had not fixed the job. This is quite already expensive for the job at hand, however, I reluctantly paid, thinking this was the total cost for the job (including her coming back).
However, when I logged back onto the website to schedule her return, I was then asked to pay another £119 for her to finish the job. I challenged this, saying I was not willing to pay £238 to fix a dripping tap (that is extortionate!). I never received a response so decided to leave it - already feeling annoyed that I had lost £119 for an issue that was not fixed and I paid £9 for her parking.
Fast forward a few weeks and I got another plumber round (who was much more reasonable) to fix several issues. When he tended to the tap, it turned out the part the Task-Her plumber had used to partially fix the issue had damaged my tap even further and I had to pay to get everything replaced.
I rightly complained to Task-Her stating that I paid £119 for someone to effectively come to my flat and make the issue much worse costing me more in the long term. I asked for a partial refund, recognising that the original plumber still took time out of her day to be there. I think a partial refund is more than reasonable considering I ultimately paid the cost for a full repair, and only received a partial fix which then caused more damage in the long term!
However, Task-Her has refused to provide any refund, which is outrageous, and will not take any responsibility for the issue. They have also refused to acknowledge that is unacceptable to charge people £119 per visit(!) as opposed to charging per job. This alone makes the service extortionate and not worth using.
I really like the concept but the structure does not work, its really expensive and the customer service needs improving!

I booked an electrician through TaskHer. She was lovely and communicative and very professional. She got everything done within the estimated time and it was all very seamless. Love the app. Would use again.

Had a horrible experience. Love the concept of TaskHer, but I requested a plumber to snake a blocked drain. A man and woman (isn’t this a company promoting women???) came in and against my wishes used noxious chemicals that produced horrible fumes so I had to vacate my flat. These chemicals caused permanent burn stains in my sink and bathtub. I also found out later they out the chemical bottle on my counter which left a mark there as well. They also ruined my kettle with the acid. The remediation was horrible: corporate continues to deny which chemicals they used despite me seeing the chemicals myself and claimed I never mentioned the burns on the sink, which I did. They offered to replace my sink but only if they sent one of their plumbers: as if I’d ever have anyone associated with this company back in my flat. On top of everything, they didn’t fix the blockage and I had to pay another plumber to snake my drain, the service I requested in the first place.

Not only did they find an engineer for our boiler even though the specific job wasn't listed on things they cover, the engineer also found out we were under warrantee so likely saved us thousands in replacing a large portion of our boiler. Highly recommended.
