Staff very super friendly

Great help with building a bike by Marcos and the team. Superb job done on the bottom bracket of a 1998 carbon frame and also with the forks. Fantastic knowledge, very helpful. Many thanks.

Bought a bike online - received regular updates from build through to delivery and everything arrived well-packaged with everything needed to finish the set up.

I also contacted Balfe's twice for some advice and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly both times - I ended up ordering something else with an equally straightforward delivery. Would definitely recommend!

We had two problems. Firstly the staff gave us the wrong information about the Trek pannier fitting. Secondly, the Balfe computer system said that the additional fitting we needed was in stock, and when we visited the shop, this proved not to be the case. To fit a pannier has so far taken 4 visits to Balfe shops, and 3 phone calls.

Service attention and support excellence

AN unintended mistake during my last service was rectified and full responsibility taken, which you don't always see. I was impressed how it was handled.

Bike never shown up and they never helped make the situation right. Didn’t know it wasn’t coming till my son’s birthday day. Poor customer service

I purchased a Trek procaliber 9.5 online and collected it from the Gatwick showroom. The skilled staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The bike had been prepared for me and looked amazing. I was advised about registering on the Trek site to obtain my frame guarantee. Plus the free 30 day bike insurance through Sunday insurance. Balfes were the only site that offered this bike in the colour and size needed. The price beat all others by £150. This was not a short journey for me. M20/M26/M25/M3 But the onsite parking and beautifully stocked showroom were well worth the extra miles. In six weeks, I have the first free service. The over-all package with the bike is very good. From the Insurance to the money off next purchase. Highly recommended.

Awful experience from this so called bike company. The bikes weren't the right size for my partner or myself despite following their size guide. One bike was faulty and both not as described yet they dug their heels in and made us pay one of the carriage charges to get it returned. Please be aware the bikes are too high even at their lowest point. So disappointed with the service I received and would not recommend using them as their customer service isn't good at all. We are now £50 out of pocket and they are still insisting the bikes were the correct size. We've now ordered some bikes from Amazon. At least I know I will get treated far better there!! Thanks for wasting our time Balfes.
