The engineer arrived on time. New exactly what to do,and explained everything in detail. He was very helpful and polite. Good experience.

I booked an oil filter change for a Saturday. The booking process felt smooth, and claimed that I would be contacted on the morning of my booking with a time slot. That's where it started to go wrong. I was then inundated with confirmation messages saying the same thing, by text and email, for a week. They all promised contact on the morning of the booking. On the day of the appointment, nothing. I waited in all morning, expecting a call. I tried to contact the AA only to find that their call centre isn't open on Saturdays and the bot on their website is completely useless and just asked the same question over and over. Eventually an engineer called me after 3.30 to say he was 10 minutes away. He was polite and did the work, but it wasted a whole day, and made me worry he wasn't coming. I certainly won't use them again.

Broke down AA recommended a garage as just a pressure sensor. Went there friendly guys but after 4 days could not find fault (i had to chase after 2 days for updates which i hate chasing) said come back when happens again. So far service friendly service i thought, so i decided to have my disc breaks done there the following week. Again had to chase end of day as was told day job, but they had issues getting front discs off would be next day. next morning i did get call ready so went to pick up and when did there was a small dent in side door and a scratch on other side (wasn’t bothered as much for scratch as can buff out but small dent i was) said would investigate on cameras and get back to me) .Then i started the van and literally drove it round the corner and the engine management light went out and no rpm’s. i literally limped back to garage I waited an hour then was told 2 error codes and been reset but can’t say which one so drive until comes up again.

Waited 48hrs still no update on dent.

Booked online with understanding that electric faults could be diagnosed and fixed by AA. Was advised this was the case via the AA AI bot. So cost £99 just to be told I needed auto electrician which I already knew.

First class service on time and excellent work

The mechanic was extremely helpful as he knew I had worries about the car he would point out things to me and explain in detail any concerns I could have in the future. Really nice bloke, and did a thorough job.

The booking process and price were good and finding a garage was useful.
My only comment about the garage was that they indicated my car was dirty, it was dusty but I had cleaned the windows, but I did not want to use anymore water to wash the whole car it was not necessary and the inside was clean. No one was in reception when I came to collect my car, minor things but a little annoying.
The service of Smart care was great would recommend.
