If I could I would put 0 stars just…

If I could I would put 0 stars just like the reviewers are stating that they are garbage is true. They do not honor their customer service policy and only give a damn about a profit. Once my money is on my account I’m done with PayPal.

I made a purchase through PayPal…

I made a purchase through PayPal expecting a secure purchase and did not receive my order they pretty much told me their seller says my package was delivered and closed my case. I am very disappointed being a member for 6 plus years l. I do not recommend uses paypal they do not secure your purchases.😣

AVOID PAYPAL AT ALL COSTS.

I don't have a PayPal account but they keep sending unsolicited emails. They wont provide an "unsubscribe" button; one has to email them to request removal from their system. They provided verbatim text one has to use to request removal, but now they want me to call them, but you can't reach a human. I blocked them and reported their emails as spam. AVOID PAYPAL AT ALL COSTS.

Avoid PayPal at all costs

I have never dealt with a company that made such a simple problem so unbelievably difficult to resolve.

My nightmare started when I reported fraudulent charges on my account. What should have been a straightforward fraud investigation turned into over a month and a half of phone calls, chats, emails, and hours wasted trying to get PayPal to do the right thing. I was transferred between departments, given conflicting information by different representatives, forced to repeat my story over and over, and constantly told to wait while nothing actually happened.

PayPal's fraud department was completely ineffective. Instead of protecting their customer and resolving the fraudulent transactions in a timely manner, they dragged the process out for weeks while I spent countless hours chasing updates and trying to get someone to take ownership of the issue.

In the end, PayPal didn't solve the problem. The only reason it was finally resolved was because I filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). It should never take a complaint to a federal government agency just to get a financial company to properly handle a fraud case.

After finally getting the fraud issue resolved, I decided I never wanted to do business with PayPal again and attempted to close my account. Even that became another frustrating ordeal. My account showed a negative balance of only $9.99, but PayPal refused to let me use any of the bank accounts, debit cards, or credit cards that were already linked to my account to pay it. The problem wasn't my payment methods—PayPal simply would not allow any of them to be used to clear the balance. I spent over an hour just trying to pay $9.99 so I could close my account.

Think about that for a second. After spending more than six weeks fighting PayPal over fraudulent charges, I then had to spend another hour just trying to leave.

No customer should have to fight this hard to resolve fraud, involve a federal regulator to get results, and then fight the company again just to close their account.

This experience permanently destroyed my trust in PayPal. There are too many better payment services available today to justify dealing with this level of incompetence and customer service. I will never use PayPal again, and I strongly encourage others to consider alternatives.

Robotic and unfair with fees and business care

They charge high fees. Then any disputes that occur, no matter how much proof of purchase, proof of postage, proof through customer conversation that they received their product will
Paypal ever respond in the business's favour, letting scammers get products for free via refunding. WE had proof the customer was talking about the product they received, and then still refunded them after 2 years later when the claimant said they hadn't received it?! Only robots respond and maybe robots determined the case but there is no humanity in this company and alternatives will be used instead, there are so many now to choose from.

I raised a dispute with Paypal when I ordered from Just Eat and received the wrong order which was also an item significantly cheaper than my order. PayPal sided with the merchant saying that they did not “consider it to be significantly not as described”. This even though the item I received had entirely different ingredients to that which I ordered - some of the ingredients I don’t eat. I am glad that I have now read many of the reviews here, regarding PayPal, as my complaint is very common and it’s clear to me that my purchases with PayPal are not protected. It’s a lesson and I won’t use PayPal again.

Personally

Personally, I have never had a problem with PayPal but I refuse to get involved in Pay in Instalments or offers of a Credit Card, or, indeed any other offers they may make. I like to keep things simple. Perhaps this is why I don't have any issues with them. I award 4 stars because a firm has to be out of the ordinary before I will award 5!

PayPal credit is terrible

PayPal credit is terrible! And should be avoided at all cost. They make it extremely easy to spend the credit they issue you, but paying it back is a complete nightmare.
You all have free will and don’t have to take my word for it so find out for yourselves.
Your account takes an obscene amount of time to update, you pump in hundreds of pounds to pay off your balance but still you’re (pay nothing for four months) aren’t touched, if you can speak to a human being via the messaging app they just sent you copy and pasted complicated financial jargon and don’t actually help you understand why what is or isn’t happening.
Once I do clear my balance, I’m never using them again

Been using PayPal for years with no problem. Had a transfer from someone that has sent money to me before. They have been holding it now for 7 days!! Will never use them again after this. I could see if I was a brand new customer but I have been using them for well over a decade. They take their time so they can make money off of your money. Greedy trash

Account Hacked with MFA

Just had my account hacked even though I had MFA setup. When I called them they could not do anything about the pending transactions and told me to call my bank to put a stop payment. The customer service assistant had no clue what to do and the fact that the fraud department is not working 24/7 is ridiculous. Disconnected everything and will be closing the account as soon as I see that the transaction is blocked by my bank.

The crazy part is the hacker somehow added him self as additional user to the account. Paypal had no idea about it and I got no notifications about it. And this is an international money handling company??? 0.0

This is reliant upon resolution of what they just did. I’ve been an account holder for 9 years without issue. But they didn’t notify me as usual that my credit card payment was due,and my bad, I didn’t realize the day because I had the day off. (Not good, yes.) I meant to pay balance once today, and they paid balance TWICE, and they were completed so quickly. I was told I had to go through my bank, stop one of the identical payments of over $2K. Im scared this won’t resolve. But if it does, I’ll be grateful for whatever helps me recover. And the one star will increase.

Better ran with Americans years ago

Paypal was better when we spoke to Anerican customer care representatives.
There refund waiting times is not coming off your balance ,with in the time frame they claim. If you call them complaining , they disconnect. Paypal is now horrible ,im with them 21 years .BK ny

My experience with PayPal has been…

My experience with PayPal has been extremely disappointing.

I contacted PayPal regarding a subscription payment to Creative Fabrica BV. During checkout, the offer was displayed as €0, and I proceeded based on this information. However, I was charged €72.45 immediately. I did not receive any effective free trial period or opportunity to test the service before the charge was applied.

I provided PayPal with screenshots showing the €0 offer and explained that my concern was not simply an “forgotten subscription”, but the lack of clear and transparent disclosure of the actual payment obligation before authorisation.

Unfortunately, PayPal rejected my dispute and later stated that it was a free trial that automatically renewed. This explanation does not match my experience, as the charge was applied immediately.

What disappointed me most was not only the payment issue, but the way my evidence was handled. Instead of addressing the specific information shown during checkout, I received responses suggesting that I may have forgotten about the subscription.

I hope PayPal improves its dispute handling process and takes customer evidence seriously. Customers should be able to trust that prices and subscription conditions are clearly presented before any payment is authorised.

It all works just fine until the moment…

It all works just fine until the moment you need a refund or support. They are as dodgy as they can, refunds will take ages, you will need to chase them, also they use different rates for transactions when buying from other currencies making you literally loose money when only asking for a refund. I’m removing all my transactions from this company and will never use them again. It’s a disgrace.
