A family catch-up in the Newcastle Milecastle
Four of us visited the Milecastle in Newcastle for an afternoon lunch and drink. The pub was fairly quiet so we had a drink then ordered four meals. They took quite a while to arrive and when they did they were barely warm. Three of us ate them anyway and one took his back and got a refund. We were in there about three hours and the adjacent tables were piled up with dirty dishes for much of that time. The prices were very reasonable but the food quality and general cleanliness was very poor.
App ordered meal at wrong pub
Ordered a meal via the App, after verifying the branch I was in. Then it confirmed my order was made in a totally different pub miles away!
Pub said I can't have a refund, even though their App is at fault.
I've used it many times before with no issues. But I will NEVER USE IT AGAIN.
Update 4.3.26 - after contacting their 'customer services' by email, I have now a reply. They deny their App is defective & I am at fault, even after I explained to them the problem with it. So that's it - I will NEVER use any Wetherspoons again
We were visiting Hexham for the day
We were visiting Hexham for the day. We went into The Forum Wetherspoons. We ordered 2x chicken bite baskets The meal came with 9 chicken nuggets on each meal instead of 10 on each meal as per stated in the menu. The meal also stated that you get coleslaw we did not get any coleslaw. I informed a member of staff who said Ok I will sort it. We ate the meal and NEVER got the missing nuggets or the coleslaw.
At the sir John Moore in Glasgow
At the sir John Moore in Glasgow. What an amazing experience quick service. Staff very helpful. And can’t believe how quick the clear tables. If their are empty they pick on way.
Would totally recommend and if back in area would definitely be back
Really good service from a waitress…
Really good service from a waitress named Abbey at Guildford Wetherspoons. She was so kind and fixed an issue we had with some drinks we ordered. Also helped us move table when the table next to us were being pretty disruptive on a Monday night. Overall one of the best service experiences I’ve had in a spoons and she was absolutely lovely!
The gentleman at the bar was very rude…James is obviously not my taste of chararacter even though I have stayed in many hotels by JD. Thank you.Andrew Cook.
The gentleman at the bar was very rude and constantly saying we were barred after 4 years! Obediah Brook in Cleckheaton. We had just been to a funeral and James he was called said he would not serve me. Distgusting
Breakfast in Leicester Square
We were in Leicester Square for a few days, but the hotel breakfast was expensive and rather formal. So, we tried Wetherspoons and were impressed by the pleasant atmosphere, friendlyness of the staff, nicely presented and tasty breakfast and of course the incredible value. Thank you, we will see you again.
Johnny was amazing
Johnny was amazing, fast service and great customer service. We LOVE him
Breakfast experience
I went to the Masque Haunt in Old Street London for a breakfast. I ordered the traditional English. It came quickly, but wasn't very hot. The food was as described so I decided to eat it. I was two-thirds through, when I stepped away from the table to get a glass of water. Amazingly, during this less-than-one-minute absence the remaing food was whipped away! I had left the knife and fork in the "I'm still eating position".
I complained and the staff were actually very good - the manager refunded my money AND gave me another breakfast which was hot this time !
Not great, but I can't fault the response of the senior staff. Would I eat there again? Yes, I might give them another try - one inappropriate table-clearing staff member should not prejudice the whole pub.
AVOID THIS VENUE
AVOID THIS VENUE
AVOID THIS VENUE. On Valentine’s Day (14/02/2026), my friend was served a Simple Chicken Jalfrezi that resulted in severe food poisoning. The situation was so critical it required an emergency ambulance call-out.
As a single mother of two, she has been bedridden and incapacitated for 5 days. When I confronted the management to warn them about the potentially contaminated batch of food, I was met with total obstruction. They refused to give me any information, hiding behind "privacy concerns."
This isn't about privacy; it’s a public health hazard. To see a major chain like Wetherspoon show such blatant disregard for customer safety and the well-being of a local mother is an absolute scandal. If you value your health, eat elsewhere.
Cold food ..a big no no
My wife and I visited the restaurant in Bury St Edmunds for a breakfast
Lovely setting, fast service and good value for money... but .. but, I hate luke warm food .. such a shame, lovely building and ambience but cold food means I will not be back ..
Poor food
Popped into the William stead in Darlington for a bite to eat. Ordered a beef madras. About six very small pieces of meat that was more like fat. Absolutely disgusting. Luckily there was very little of it. What a total waste of £10.44. Never again
Disabled girl kicked out!!!
The Devonshire Inn, Skipton. My teenage son & his registered disabled girlfriend got TOLD TO LEAVE because of her service dog!! APPARENTLY they have new rules and don't allow service support dogs in?! I thought that was against the law!!! Absolutely disgusting attitude from wetherspoons!!!
STepneyGreen female staff member ( I…
STepneyGreen female staff member ( I believe Vietnamese showed me to a dirty table couldn't be bothered to come back and wipe it. I had to go to the bar and request a staff member to wipe it instead. This individual gave me a 'why are you asking me look' and then proceeded to hand me a wet napkins. as if I should wipe it myself. This was 11:08am on the 7/02/26. Then adding insult to injury the food was uncooked especially the bacon and hanging off the plate. Dark haired male staff member behind the bar. With a i dont give a sh*t attitude. These people need to be removed ASAP. STEPNEY GREEN GATED VENUE.
Wetherspoon's pub in Fleet
Visited Wetherspoon's pub in Fleet, friendly service, good food and cheap, glad to see no dogs in the pub.
Also good to see lots of senior citizens having breakfast using it as a meeting place.
Disgraceful attitude to Guide Dog…
Disgraceful attitude to Guide Dog owners. Shocking. I would not recommend this company.
Emerson’s Green Wetherspoon is one of…
Emerson’s Green Wetherspoon is one of the worst I’ve experienced. Constantly running out of things…today’s episode is eggs and beans….plus a host of drinks.
Also the place is absolutely freezing. I’d rather pay another two quid for a pint and be warm and walk through the door of a pub that can do the basics right! Be nice to hear staff happy in their work too instead of discussing with each other how **** Wetherspoon are to work for. Apparently this is a franchise….well I’d remove it JD!!!
Popped in and was assaulted by the door staff
Last night popped into the bar for a quick drink then we got our drinks sat at a table and we were confunted by the door staff accused me of doing drugs to witch I have never done and then was told I have a life time ban to witch we ask what for? And couldn't come up with an answer, we were told that the ban was lifted 3 weeks ago no problem at all then the door staff said I have a life time ban but this is no longer the case.
I was asked to leave and was asking why for what again he did not even now why either
Next minute I was assorted by being man handle out the pub for no reason this has been reported to the police
NOT GOOD ENOUGH RITZ
Just spent some time in Lincolns "The Ritz" pub. Ordered a mug for a latte.
One machine said no milk and the other machine said enter the password. Some kind customer went to the bar to request assistance. Password sorted and milk topped up. 10 mins later I have a drink. Next time I went up both machines had run out of milk and the hand pourer. I took the pourer to one if the serving ladies, and asked for assistance, and was rudely told "I've no time for that now".
I had to wait another 15mins before being able to get another drink. I know it's Saturday but staff should be available when a queue is forming for tea or coffee.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH RITZ.
